PLEASE BRIEFLY PRESENT THE PARTNER ORGANIZATION
The Slow Tourism Alto Adige Association is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization founded in
2014 in the city of Bolzano North Italy as a subsidiary of an Italian Association Slow Tourism
(http://www.slowtourism-italia.org.
Its main objective is to rediscover a different way of traveling through the promotion of eco-tourist
itineraries with slow mobility that invites travelers to choose authenticity and routes marked by the
beauty, culture, and traditions of locals. Its President and members write, organize and coordinate
European projects to increase attention to the beauty of the territories through cultural itineraries,
enjoying agricultural products, and a new slow Italian style of life. The members of the association
promote the sustainability of the territories and useful information on the accessibility of
accommodation for disabled people.
We believe in more cohesive and inclusive societies to allow citizens to play an active role in
democratic life. We think that non-formal education can promote common European values, foster
social integration, enhance intercultural understanding and a sense of belonging to a community.
We promote the development of social capital among young people, the empowerment of young
3. people and their ability to participate actively in society. We organize stages for youth organizations
and provide them with training to develop their professionalism and the European dimension of
youth work. We are experts in writing and coordinating local and European projects.

TOURISM SECTOR
- The project "Tourism Roadmap 2030" aims to draw a realistic picture of tourism in South Tyrol
in the coming years. From December 2020, IDM, in synergy with the Province of Bolzano,
EURAC Research and the renowned Zukunftsinstitut of Frankfurt, is developing a new concept
of tourism development in South Tyrol that will be completed at the end of 2021. The aim of
the project is to provide a realistic picture of South Tyrolean tourism in the coming years and
to draw conclusions from this in terms of the content and future organization of the tourism
sector. Even in 2030 South Tyrol would like to be one of the most desired - sustainable habitats
in Europe.
- The project “Alto Adige per tutti” After a work that lasted more than two years, in which more
than 30 people including 10 disabled has collaborated, now "South Tyrol for all" is published
at www.hotel.bz.it. It gives the possibility to choose among 315 hotels located in the various
tourist areas, the one deemed best suited to the needs and expectations of tourists. The site,
or rather the sites, are based on a complex database that is able to describe in detail the
characteristics of individual environments and any "barriers" that may cause difficulties in the
autonomy of a guest and is able to provide for each described aspect a classification in the
specific ("Level of Accessibility") and in general ("Categories of Accessibility").
