1. A charming seaside little town
3 late summer days
500 innovators
Just Mix everything with hackaton, keynote, workshop and, why not, boat trips and relaxing on the
beach and you will get Heroes, Euro-mediterranean Coinnovation Festival.
September 21-23 2016: that’HEROES!
The protagonists of the festival will be the ideas, the most innovative and sustainable projects and
the companies which can demonstrate the ability to respond effectively to the major economic and
social challenges, thus accessing the final phase of Heroes Prize competition. Worldwide hundreds
of thousands of people, groups, organizations, began to experiment innovative ways of living with
original solutions to common problems. New phenomena of self-production that circle in the
university spin-offs, start-up incubators and makers, with an almost technological crafts logic, is
there to create new solutions to unresolved social problems. Large companies and enterprises that
operate internationally are as well reviewing their strategies and introducing the perspective of
shared value.
2. How to guarantee that technological, economic and social innovation, will help to build a
more sustainable, inclusive and innovative society? How to revive the economic and social
role of the Euro-Mediterranean?
Enthused by the great themes placed at European level by “Entrepreneurship 2020 Action Plan”,
Heroes was founded with the specific aim to provide a concrete response to the major social
challenges of our time through analysis, joint planning, training and networking. The main vocation
is to promote greater synergy between the industrial world, the institutions, universities and the new
innovation places such as shared wellbeing strategy, competitiveness and employment.

region. During the three days of Heroes, and not only, we will show the Basilicata’s beauty,
capabilities and possibilities.
Israele, Partner Country

excellence, by hosting numerous Israeli representatives in order to deepen the dynamics that led
this country to vaunt the highest concentration of innovation and entrepreneurship in the world, with
