2. Aims
■ To develop an e-laboratory script which will enhance
your understanding and performance in practical
classes.
■ The new resource will provide video demos, visual
aids & other interactive tools to offer a useful guide
to the traditional script.
3. Taking part
■ All students have been enrolled into e-lab group 1 and 2
on StudentCentral.
■ If you engage in any parts of the study we will assume
you have opted into the research project
■ Participants will be asked to complete a short series of
surveys before and after the laboratory classes
■ Additionally we will seek volunteers to form a focus group
at the end of the study to reflect on the impact of the new
resource.
4. When will you notice something
■ You will be given the e-lab script 1 week prior to your
laboratory class and informed via StudentCentral:
– PY261 Peptic Ulcer practical on 21/11/2016 for
groups A&B
– PY261 Product Recall practical 13/03/2017 for
groups C&D
5. Accessing the e-Lab
The e-Lab will appear as a module under support area on the
studies page. Click this to access the resource. Further
information will be available on the home page.
