The name of my magazine is
“PolkaDot” and the font and
colour I will be choosing for
my masthead is the last font
in this selection of 3. I have
chosen these colours and
font as I believe they follow
the codes and conventions
of my mixed genre
(R&B/Pop). The name itself is
more of a half way point it
links to both but with the
same amount of meaning.

3. To determine what price I would sell my
magazine at was tricky. But due to audience
research when I asked “How mush are you
willing to pay for a good quality magazine?”
most responded with £2.50 – which I thought was
reasonable so the price is £2.50. Others were
£2 and £3 so I felt even more comfortable with
£2.50 as it is in the middle of these to numbers.
This will be a monthly issue and the price is a
little cheap for a monthly issue but I want this to
be an affordable magazine for my target
audience.

 This links in with the masthead and
almost gives a demand.

 Tips and guidance when listening to
certain songs.

7. The masthead (like mentioned on first
slide) is designed like this. The fonts will
be quite bold but will have a girly twist
as pop is stereotypically girly so I will
associate in in the fonts and colours.
Big main image in the centre in a full
body shot. Small cover lines not taking
up all the space giving it to the main
image. Big bold name across the middle
of the page like a label.
This is a rough draft but colour scheme is
Blacks, Whites, Red, Pink and Grey.
