Task 9 : Formal Proposal
Magazine Title –Loud!
Explanationof genre choice
I have decided to produce a rock music magazine aimed at teenage girls as I
feel that a lot of rock music magazines out at the moment are mainly aimed at
males, and I think that it was time girls had their own rock music magazine. I
also think that I have a good idea on the kinds of bands and articles that I could
use in the magazineas I am a teenage girl who enjoys rock music, so it will be
well-informed and professional.

Initial ideas about front page

overlapping it. Model in the image uses a direct mode of address to establish a
relationship with the audience. Main coverlinein bigger, bolder fonts and
colours so it stands out, other coverlines down the left and right sides.
Barcode, price, date and issue number all printed small in the bottom right
hand corner of the page, entire cover follows the rule of thirds.
Initial ideas about contents page
Use three columns to keep it tidy and easily read, title the page contents and
include a small version of the masthead for identity and branding. Useimages
that are linked to coverlines, page numbers and small descriptions of what
happens on each page.
Initial ideas about double page spread
