QUESTION 1 – WHAT IS YOUR GENDER?
The majority of people answering the questionnaire were female,
although this didn’t have an effect on how I decided to make and
produce my final magazine.
QUESTION 2 – HOW OLD ARE YOU?
Most people were aged between 16-19 so that is the age range I was
specifically aiming my publication at
QUESTION 3 – WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE
GENRE OF MUSIC?
A lot of people’s favourite genre was none of the listed, but I had a pretty
concrete idea regardless that the genre I wanted to focus on was dance
music
QUESTION 4 – WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE ARTIST
FROM THE GENRES LISTED ABOVE?
This question didn’t exactly give me the best idea of who’s peoples
favourite artists were, so didn’t really take it into account
QUESTION 5 – WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE MUSIC
MAGAZINE?
The general feel for this question was that the people doing the survey
didn’t have a standout favourite magazine, which was quite helpful on
my part as it meant I could design the magazine how I wanted
QUESTION 6 – HOW OFTEN DO YOU PURCHASE
MUSIC MAGAZINES?
From what I can gather the people answering my survey don’t seem
to buy music magazines very frequently
QUESTION 7 – WHICH KIND OF LAYOUT DO YOU
PREFER?
A large percentage went for a colourful and bright layout over any
other, which is ideal for a dance magazine
QUESTION 8 – HOW MUCH WOULD YOU BE
WILLING TO PAY FOR A MUSIC MAGAZINE?
The majority would only pay less than £4 but I decided to price my
magazine at £4.50 as I thought it was a reasonable price and a price that
would make money for the magazine
QUESTION 9 – WHAT TYPE OF PHOTOS DO YOU
PREFER?
There wasn’t a clear type of photo that people taking part wanted
QUESTION 10
Most people wanted a big and bold font which I am going to use on my
front cover and contents as I think it will be effective
