GUIDE CARD
Good day! I am your
Science teacher for today,
I am teacher Camille.
Our lesson for the day
is all about the
Reproductive System.
Come and explore with me.
These are the parts of the
Human Reproductive
System:
Female Reproductive System and its Function
The uterus is a hollow,
pear-shaped organ that
is the home to a
developing fetus.
UTERUS
The female structures
that transport the ova
from the ovary to the
uterus each month. In the
presence of sperm and
fertilization, the uterine
tubes transport the
fertilized egg to the
uterus for implantation.
FALLOPIAN TUBE
Its main function is to
collect the egg released
from the ovary after
ovulation and draw it into
the fallopian tube.
FIMBRAE
They produce, store, and
release eggs into the
fallopian tubes in the
process called ovulation
OVARY
The ovarian ligament
anchors to the ovaries and
the uterine horn.
OVARIAN
LIGAMENT
A cylinder-shaped neck
of tissue that connects
the vagina and uterus
CERVIX
The endometrium is the
lining of the uterus. It is
one of the few organs in
the human body that
changes in size every
month throughout a
person's fertile years.
ENDOMETRIUM
The vagina is a canal
that joins the cervix (the
lower part of uterus) to
the outside of the body.
It also is known as the
birth canal.
VAGINA
Male Reproductive System and its Function
Connect and fills the
bladder with urine
formed in the kidneys.
URETER
Also called the ductus
deferens. They function to
carry sperm from the
epididymis to the urethra
where it leaves the body
during ejaculation.
VAS DEFERENS
The prostate secretes fluid
that nourishes and protects
sperm. During ejaculation,
the prostate squeezes this
fluid into the urethra, and
it's expelled with sperm as
semen.
PROSTATE GLAND
The epididymis is a long,
coiled tube that rests on
the backside of each
testicle. It carries and
stores sperm cells that
are created in the
testes.
EPIDIDYMIS
It produces the first fluid
that leaves the urethra in
order to neutralize the
acid left from the urine.
They add fluids to semen
during the process of
ejaculation
BULBOURETHRAL
GLAND
Testes are responsible
for making
testosterone, the
primary male sex
hormone, and for
producing sperm.
TESTICLE
Seminal vesicular secretion
is important for semen
coagulation, sperm motility,
and stability of sperm
chromatin and suppression
of the immune activity in the
female reproductive tract. In
conclusion, the function of
seminal vesicle is important
for fertility.
SEMINAL VESICLE
A tube which allows
urine and semen to exit
the body.
URETHRA
Erectile tissue is any
tissue that is capable of
stiffening or engorging
with blood. During sexual
arousal, sexual erectile
tissue experiences
increased blood flow and
becomes engorged with
blood, enlarging and/or
stiffening.
ERECTILE TISSUE
The rounded head (or tip)
of the penis.
PENIS HEAD
Now that you already know
the parts and function of RS,
let's dive into some activities.
You can do it!

  • 4. Strategic Intervention Material GUIDE CARD Good day! I am your Science teacher for today, I am teacher Camille. Our lesson for the day is all about the Reproductive System. Come and explore with me.
  • 5. These are the parts of the Human Reproductive System:
  • 6. Female Reproductive System and its Function The uterus is a hollow, pear-shaped organ that is the home to a developing fetus. UTERUS The female structures that transport the ova from the ovary to the uterus each month. In the presence of sperm and fertilization, the uterine tubes transport the fertilized egg to the uterus for implantation. FALLOPIAN TUBE Its main function is to collect the egg released from the ovary after ovulation and draw it into the fallopian tube. FIMBRAE They produce, store, and release eggs into the fallopian tubes in the process called ovulation OVARY The ovarian ligament anchors to the ovaries and the uterine horn. OVARIAN LIGAMENT A cylinder-shaped neck of tissue that connects the vagina and uterus CERVIX The endometrium is the lining of the uterus. It is one of the few organs in the human body that changes in size every month throughout a person's fertile years. ENDOMETRIUM The vagina is a canal that joins the cervix (the lower part of uterus) to the outside of the body. It also is known as the birth canal. VAGINA
  • 7. Male Reproductive System and its Function Connect and fills the bladder with urine formed in the kidneys. URETER Also called the ductus deferens. They function to carry sperm from the epididymis to the urethra where it leaves the body during ejaculation. VAS DEFERENS The prostate secretes fluid that nourishes and protects sperm. During ejaculation, the prostate squeezes this fluid into the urethra, and it's expelled with sperm as semen. PROSTATE GLAND The epididymis is a long, coiled tube that rests on the backside of each testicle. It carries and stores sperm cells that are created in the testes. EPIDIDYMIS It produces the first fluid that leaves the urethra in order to neutralize the acid left from the urine. They add fluids to semen during the process of ejaculation BULBOURETHRAL GLAND Testes are responsible for making testosterone, the primary male sex hormone, and for producing sperm. TESTICLE Seminal vesicular secretion is important for semen coagulation, sperm motility, and stability of sperm chromatin and suppression of the immune activity in the female reproductive tract. In conclusion, the function of seminal vesicle is important for fertility. SEMINAL VESICLE A tube which allows urine and semen to exit the body. URETHRA Erectile tissue is any tissue that is capable of stiffening or engorging with blood. During sexual arousal, sexual erectile tissue experiences increased blood flow and becomes engorged with blood, enlarging and/or stiffening. ERECTILE TISSUE The rounded head (or tip) of the penis. PENIS HEAD
