Callum Balfour received marks for his AS coursework, including 13/20 for planning and 37/60 for his main construction task. His evaluation received 15/20. For his construction task, there was evidence of technical skills but some shots were out of focus and pacing was lost towards the end. His evaluation provided excellent analysis but could have benefited from more examples for one question and more detail on audience feedback for another question. Overall his work was graded a C.

Question 1: Answered using powtoon. Excellent analysis and reflection on how
his film opening conforms and challenges his genre, using some examples. Would
have benefited from more examples.
Question 2: Answered using power-point and slideshare. Candidate explains well
who the target audience is and how they are represented in his film opening.
Excellent analysis on gender, camera movement, costumes and age.
Question 3: Answered using word and slideshare. Candidate explains well that
New Line Cinema (as part of Time Warner) would be best to distribute his film
using good clear examples.
Question 4 and 5: Answered using prezi. Very detailed work on question 4,
identifying the target audience using avatars and social graphs. However question
5 (how have you reached the TA?) has been answered only briefly by explanation
of which parts of the film might attract his audience. No audience feedback has
been conducted.
Question 6: Answered using powtoon. Good detail on all the technologies used
throughout the process, however the youtube slide is missing the words.
Question 7: Answered using a word video via youtube in an essay style response.
Candidate provides a very detailed reflective piece explaining what he has learnt
throughout his journey, excellent detail, well done. Some of the text is a bit small.
Overall a high proficient evaluation, most answers offer excellent attention to
detail, however question 5 could have more.
