A title is one of the most important parts
of reality tv show. A title grabs
the audience's attention at either the start
or the end of the show. Also, the
title summarizes the idea and theme
behind the show. There is a lot of things
which make up a title. In this PowerPoint I
focused my research on the title's fonts
and colours.
3. Fonts
Throughout my titles research I have
found that the vast majority of reality
tv shows use sans serif font to show
off their titles. By using sans serif font
this allows the titles to be bold and
have a very clear and clean
appearance. Therefore, this leads to
the titles standing out from regular
text but also to the audience and grabs
the audience attention. Also, a
number of the reality tv shows titles
have 3D fonts these are used for
making statements and immediately
capturing the attention of the
audience. The bigger they are the
more impact they can create.
4. Color
Also, throughout my title research I found
that most of the titles match the colour
scheme of the reality tv show theme. By the
colour matching the theme this ensures the
titles grabs the target audience attention.
Also, by using certain colours on titles
this allow you to reach out to a specific
target audience. For example, using
brighter bolder colours this has a tendency
to appeal to the younger generation
whereas for the older generation they
usually have a preference for more complex
sophisticated colours. Also, when
researching I found that when the brand is
aimed at the luxury end of the market most
of the titles use black; this colour embodies
elegance, power, and sophistication, ideal
values for a high-end product. Therefore,
the titles colour depends on the target
market and the theme.
