2. NIGHT VISION EFFECT
To achieve this effect We have a night vision effect that we have continuously running
we firstly darkened through our trailer. We chose to use this effect to emphasis the
the image all over hand held, found footage theme. Not only is this running
using the ‘Burn Tool’ throughout the footage, but we also used the night vision effect
on Photoshop, and for our magazine cover. This portrays the convention of our genre
then changed the as it gives an eerie, horror feel to the trailer – which is typical of
colour balance to a our genre.
green tint.
3. FONT
We decided to use a white font to stand out from the
background, in doing so, the main focus was on the catch phrase
which is split up into three credits. We did this to add suspense to
the trailer, it also drew the audience in, trying to figure out what
the phrase is, which gives the trailer attention.
We used the same style of font, in
terms of colour and shape, in order to
keep consistency throughout the
campaign for promotion of the film.
4. BLACK AND WHITE FOOTAGE
We decided to used black and white images for the remaining clips,
this was for a couple of reasons. Firstly it was to indicate that the
clips were flash backs from the past and to give the audience an
idea of the background behind the story line. Another reason was
for it to fit in with the conventions of the thriller and horror genre,
as black and white footage give an eerie illusion to the filming.
