2. What is Nanoscience?
• Nanoscience is about the Phenomena that occur in systems (structures)
with nanometer dimensions.
• In 1959, Richard Feynman gave a talk to the American Physical Society
in which he talk about the consequences of Measuring and Manipulating
materials at the nanoscale.

• When we get to the very, very small (seven atoms) We have a lot of new
things that would happen that represent completely new opportunities
