3. Madd ( Lengthening a letter)
Is simply lengthening one of the Madd letters
ِ ْاُْيْا
Lengthen: 2 Seconds
Examples: َقَاَل,َالكتَاَب,َتعلمَوَن,َالنعَيـم
الطبيعي :المد Natural Madd
4. منفصل مد Short Madd
Occurs in between TWO words
when the first word ends in a Madd letter (a vowel)
ُْا ْو ُِْي
And the second word starts with a hamza ء
Lengthen: 2-4 Seconds
or
4-5 seconds
Examples:
5. متصل :مد Long Madd
Occurs within One word when ِ ْاْيْو ( a vowel) is followed by ء Hamza
Lengthen: 4-5 seconds
Examples:

6. االزم :المد Super Long Madd
Type 1:
Occurs when ِ ْاُْيْو
(a vowel) is followed by shaddah
Lengthen: 6-8 Seconds
Examples:
َينلٓاَّضٱل َةَّمٓاَّٱلط
َةَّخٓاَّصٱل
Type 2:
Occurs with INDEPENDENT
letters
Lengthen: 6-8 Seconds

7. : Madd Silah/Connectiveصلة مد
Connects two words. The first word ends with letter (َهــ) , (َــه) when it is used
as a Possessive Pronoun (Male).
You will see a “baby vowel” that matches the Harakah of the last letter.

If it is saakinah, preceded by a saakin, which is preceded by a
dhammah.
