• Seeds have three parts- seed coat, embryo, cotyledon.
• The seed coat is the outer covering of the seed.
• The embryo in the seed is the baby plant.
• The cotyledon is the food store. It provides food for the baby plant
before it is able to make it’s own food.
• The baby plant that comes out of a seed is called seedling.
• The process by which a seed grows into a new plant is called
Germination.
