6. Classification of AI
Narrow AI
It is also referred to as “Weak AI,” this kind of
artificial intelligence operates within a limited
context and is a simulation of human
intelligence. Narrow AI is often focused on
performing a single task extremely well. These
machines may seem intelligent but they are
operating under many constraints and
limitations than even the most basic human
intelligence.
E.g. Apple Siri, Amazon’s Alexa, IBM Watson
and self-driving cars.
General AI
AGI, sometimes referred to as “Strong
AI,” is AI that fully replicates the
autonomy of the human brain. It can
solve many types or classes of problems
and even choose the problem it wants to
solve without human intervention. It is
the kind of artificial intelligence we see
in the movies.
E.g. Robots in movies like Terminator,
Data from Star Trek, Android from Alien,
etc.
7. What do we need
to make an
Intelligent
Machine
A method of Comparing
Experiences to Come to logical
conclusions.
A method of Applying old
Experiences to New ones.
A memory or a Space where
Experiences or
Information can Be stored
