I am continuously proactive in improvements in the challenging market and resolving
day to day problems After 20 years of wide ranging experience in logistics and
distribution, I have developed a strong expertise in leading large teams, delivering
logistics strategy, and driving significant operational and cultural change. Currently
managing a warehouse site of approximately 900-1000 employees, my role requires
me too deliver key KPI's across the business and day to day running of the site.
In 2000, I was seconded to work in Egypt for 3 months as part of the management
team, working in supporting Sainsbury’s (formerly Tibbet & Britten) in English
working practices. I was responsible for ensuring the day to day running of the
distribution centre with approximately 200 staff per shift. Below is a short breakdown
of my working history:

Job Role: Operational Shift Manager, Performance manager
My role requires me to deliver great service to our stores through effective day-to-
day leadership of the Team Managers and colleagues.
Responsible for the effective deployment of colleagues, effective colleague
engagement and excellent customer service while meeting legal, KPI and budgetary
targets. Site responsibility in the absence of a more senior operational manager.
I deliver operational excellence
Responsible for adhering to legislation, policy and processes in all matters relating to
safety, health and environment ensuring risks are minimised.
Analyses performance data to identify improved ways of working with their team.
Responsible for leading the site operation, particularly at nights and / or weekends
and up to 500 colleagues.
Looks for ways to identify and add value to the warehouse operation

Co-ordination and communication point for any incident/ issues on the shift and uses
judgement to take appropriate action e.g. escalation.

Manages relationships with various external contracts as determined by the
warehouse operations manager.
