3. RELAX
Find a suitable place for your reading.
You need comfort, although not too
much, because good posture and good
lighting are also necessary. Sitting in
front of a desk is a great option, if the
desk is clean and tidy. With this you will
avoid distractions.

4. DON’T READ ALOUD
Many people believe that reading aloud works
to improve concentration, but this depends
much more on a good environment. When you
read aloud, what you are doing is repeating
what you have already read. So better learn to
listen to your inner self and save reading aloud
for when you read to someone else.

5. CHASE THE WORDS
You can use a pencil or toothpick to guide
your reading. The goal is for your eyes to
'reach' the words you are pointing to. This
simple exercise will dramatically increase your
reading speed. Practice a lot and push your
eyes to the limit. Try to go faster and faster
and discover the maximum point where you
do not sacrifice retention of words. You will
surely be surprised.

6. GROUP THE WORDS
You will make small jumps from one group of
words to another with this technique. Start by
dividing sentences into groups of three or four
words, and with some practice you could be
reading entire lines in no time just by briefly
staring. For practice, you can use a marker to
divide the sentences.

7. NEVER GO BACK
How many times do we go back a few lines
higher or even go back to the previous page
because we did not understand something
important? This is a misreading. Learn to trust
your eyes and yourself and you will be amazed
at your ability to understand much more than
you think. So now you know never, never,
never look back. With this simple exercise you
will teach your brain to understand everything
you are reading.
