It is my understanding that Andre Badley is applying for an intern/entry position. I have been asked to
send a letter of recommendation that addresses the character and personality attributes, or other
observations that will assist in appraising the applicant’s probable success in an internship.
I have been personally acquainted with Andre Badley for almost four years. Andre served as a full-time
missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California Fresno Mission January
2013 to January 2015. During his time there,I served as his mission president and had direct supervision
and regular contact with Andre. I assume your committee has Andre’s academic record and community
service; consequently, I will not review that in this letter. I will, however,offer my personal observation
and evaluation of Andre. As a missionary, Andre displayed unique characteristics of sincerity,
perseverance,and a keen sense of responsibility. He is a well rounded young man who has participated in
sports, community and civic service, and service in his church. As a mission leader he displayed a style
of leadership that worked with his group and brought out the best in their efforts. It was not a ego driven
leadership style. Andre gets along well with others and is well liked among his peers. Andre is
charismatic and persuasive. He is a natural born leader and will be an asset to your company.
My professional career has been centered in the airline and travel industry, including serving as CEO of
an airline. In these capacities I worked with thousands of people and feel confident in my ability to
evaluate performance and potential. Andre clearly excels in his work and studies. I found Andre to be a
man of character, integrity, and honesty.
