It brings me joy and pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Mr. Daniel D. Young. Daniel and I
have worked together at West Oaks Elementary School, located at 905 Dorscher Rd. Orlando, Fl. 32818
for Orange County Public Schools.
As his former colleague, I have known Daniel for over 10 years, and have had an opportunity to see him
grow and develop over his 6 year tenure in education as a substitute teacher. Daniel is a natural leader
and doesn’t hesitate to assume a leadership role. Due to frequent requests from parents for help, he
took it upon himself to organize weekly tutoring and mentoring sessions, and as a result, he was able to
develop over 10 kids ranging from Kindergarten to 12 th
grade all while assuring their safety and
academic success. Specifically, he was a repeat substitute, requested to come back on several occasions
and he arrived with short notice. For that he is an outstanding professional in all respects.
Based on my experience working with Daniel, I can recommend him as a strong candidate for your
organization. I am confident he would make an invaluable contribution to that institution.
