Jay is articulate, loyal, totally honest and immensely hard-working who dedicates himself thoroughly to
the task at hand and follows up devotedly on getting the job done. With clearly-defined direction and
mutual understanding of company goals and policies, he unfailingly gets the job done promptly and
efficiently. He presents himself well and provides a "face" with clients and the public that serves your
company image well.
These observations are based on two specific incidents of possible interest:
1) As a Director of the Shores Villas, I saw Jay take over as Manager and save a Management firm
contract and go on to become the most efficient of several Managers that I have observed.
2 On a second occasion and at another property, I saw Jay win the approval of a Management contract
based on his personal appeal.
ln both cases, his personal charisma and sales personality were unusually effective.
For personal reference, my background is as an Editor/Broadcaster, Ownerllnvestor, Political Advisor and
retired Broadcast Owner with 50+ years of Personnel Management. I have yet to find a perfect employee,
but Jay comes strikingly close to that mark.

on the Board of Directors, produced the newsletter, and served for many years

I can state, unequivocally, that prior community managers and managers to
follow Jay Burland have never equaled Jay's qualifications, effectiveness and

I am the current President fcr Eagle Cove Comrnunity Association and have been on the Board for many
years. I can safely say Jay Burland, without question, has far exceeded my expectations as well as the
Board of Directors. He is very proactive, always bringing things that need attention to the Board for
discussion. We never have to tell Jay to do something or have to be concerned that he is not going to do
what he says he is going to do. I have never met a more organized. detaited person in my life. Jay in my
opinion has found his calling, and that is being a community manager.
Jay makes my iob as the Board President very easy and speaking on behalf of the Board, makes
everyone's job on the Board easier. His approach tc solving problems and dealing wilh difficult
situatians is second to none.
When it comes to HOA management, Jay is truly an expert in his field. Eagle Cove is very fortunate to
