Summary: This training module was attended on the basis of Internship selection for the

Summary: This project aims to survey the products and distribution systems in South Bengal
market and also collect feedback of retailers and customers regarding the same. The project also
included creating awareness of products that were not much renowned to the customers in the
market.

Projects done during PGDM
 Marketing Project - Product and Brand Management
 A study on brand repositioning and product strategy of Micromax mobile.
 This project was done to study whether Micromax is taking a strategy for brand
repositioning from its low level customer base to high profile customer base.
It was found out that the brand had very few products which were in the premium segment
and although it is trying to penetrate into the premium segment, its more successful with
the present segment it has and hence, it can be said that brand repositioning for the brand is
not as successful as it is trying to be.
 Information Systems - ETGBE
 A study of channel distribution management of Vodafone with the help of quarter
sales report.
 This project was done to study the channel distribution system of Vodafone in Jamuria
(Asansol) area and rank the retailers based on their quarterly sales report and manage them
based on those data.
It was found out that the retailers had a fluctuating sales data quarterly and as such it was
difficult to understand their performance. Thus, ranking systems were provided using IT
systems by using MS excel, which provided the managers to keep an eye on the retailers. This
also helped the managers in deciding what sort of strategy to follow for performing retailers
and non-performing retailers.
