5. Our Goal of This Foundation
Our goal here at the Warriors foundation is to raise money
and get food to give to the homeless veterans in the United
States.

6. Facts
8.6% of homeless people are veterans.
There are nearly 50,000 homeless veterans.
54% of veterans have either a mental or a physical disability.
Most veterans become homeless and hungry by having a sickness
called PTSD. (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder)
Most veterans that are homeless are between the ages of 51 and
61.

7. The Vision and Action Plan
The vision of Serve the Served is to feed veterans in America using donations
from the public and nonprofit organizations.
We will feed the veterans using food bought with the money from donors.
The way the public can help is by going to their local grocery store to get food
for our food drives and to fill the bus.
Donations given to the veterans would be most foods that are non-perishable,
such as soup or beans.

8. Our Non-profit Organization
This 501 ©(3) organization is the one that we decided to partner with because
they met our criteria for the best partnership.
Operation Second Chance:
Operation Second Chance helps soldiers at the Walter Reed National Military
Medical Center (WRNMMC)in Washington D.C. and then assists them back into
everyday life or back into duty.

11. Implementation
Our sponsor is Operation Second Chance
We will have food drives at our local schools. The class that
collects the most cans will earn an ice cream party.
We will ask for donations through facebook, twitter, instagram, and
our local newspapers.
We want to help OSC help veterans and their families by
supporting their everyday needs since they sacrificed so much for
us.

12. How we are helping:
Our plan to help the veterans is:
We will get monetary donations from the public as well as fill a bus with donations.
We will park a bus in front of our local supermarket where we will ask customers
to donate canned and recyclable goods. We will distribute the proceeds to our
partner Operation Second Chance, who help soldiers that are homeless and are
wounded. We know we can make a difference.

13. Project passion
The veterans fought for us, so now we want to fight for them.
Since they fought so much for us, we don't want them to go
homeless or hungry after all the work they’ve done for us.
8.6% of homeless population were veterans. We will fill a bus full
of food and donate it to salvation armies and other homeless
veterans as well as have food drives at our local schools.
