Automotive electronics, cell phone, wireless internet, personal communications equipment, Government and
Safety communications equipment.
Test System New Product Introduc tion Engineering Manager 2000 to 2015
Oversaw global manufacturing test issues affecting product functionality for external and
internal customers. Executed testing for both charters with focus on cost, quality, and
delivery. Conducted budget, material flow, design, staffing, training, documentation, and
project management planning.
• Ensured quality by managing manufacturing test issues affecting product functionality at
external customers, achieving continuous track record of zero customer returns.
• Achieved zero manufacturing test- related yield issues, as measured by (NTF) no-trouble-
found rate at analysis stations and (GRR) gage repeatability and reproducibility results
lower than 10% for all metrics.
3. • Designed / modeled material flow and test processes to minimize issues in yield, capacity,
and quality, reducing potential hindrances to on-time shipments and costs and resulting in
zero late shipments / lowest costs possible.
• Met on-time customer orders by analyzing specific issues created by increases in customer
orders and / or product part shortages where extra test capacity was needed.

MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS (Continued)
• Managed process issues where system might have been non-functional due to product
changes or equipment failure, eliminating additional capital equipment costs through test
time reductions. Yearly $300K hard savings (head count reductions, capital equipment not
needed) and $500K soft savings (cost avoidance).
• Addressed design marginality issues with product due to lot-to-lot part drift after new
product ship acceptance that caused yield degradations during manufacturing. Conducted
meetings, providing statistical data such as CPK results and historical run chart data.
Maintained all statistical process control measurements of process capability such as CPK
results for individual tests greater than 1.5 with CP greater than 2.0.
• Provided test project management for front- end contract manufacturing external test
groups and Schaumburg backend manufacturing, quality groups, (NPI) new product
introduction, finance, business and development engineering teams, resulting in zero
delays to new products launch.
• Managed and provided for seamless product maintenance in manufacturing. Providing
training and documentation for test system use, test system calibration, test system
maintenance of line (MOL), and product analysis.
• Managed contract manufacturing transfers without impacting material flows within supply
chain. Provided test system disassemble service, shipping, reassemble at new site,
qualification, and training for analyzing and test. Designed and performed analysis to
ensure proper test capacities were maintained.
• Improved test process efficiency through common test hardware and software platforms,
enabling more seamless test process, lower learning curves, shorter test development
cycles, and increased capital equipment reuse. Resulting in lowering overall costs and time
to market.
• Conducted continual analysis of other product test solutions for possible re-use of test
solutions and capacities, minimizing cost and delivery.
• Lowered incidence of defects escaping due to operator mistakes or misjudgment and
lowered costs by reducing required headcounts through test automation.
• Reduced test times, resulting in lower test capital needs, including head count required to
perform testing.
• Created 1st-rate quality while holding manufacturing costs to minimum through proper
balance of test processes between contract manufacturers and back-end factories, while
achieving maximum test coverage.
