2. Front cover for a broadsheet newspaper. This a design of a front cover for broadsheet
newspaper, I created this using, in design. On the
left I have kept the guide lines in and on the right
you can see the final version without the guide
lines, this is so that you could see how the guide
lines have been used and used correctly to make
this page layout. I have used a big title that
stands out so that the viewers know the name of
the paper and can see that clearly, I have also put
the date on there of when the paper came out,
which is a very important element. There are also
adverts just under the title to give the
viewers/audience more of an idea of what the
papers about and what else it is going to talk
about, a picture about the weather is on the front
cover because everyone is interested to know
about the weather and what's going to happen
which will make people want to buy this paper.
The reason I chose to do 7 columns is because I
wanted to have certain pieces of text in certain
places like the last column for example there is
literally just 1 column of text I have done this
because I wanted to indicate that specific bit of
text to go with that image about the weather.
5. Magazine double page spread
This is the double page of a magazine which I have created using in design,
originally I was going have the title ”Rihanna Fenty Beauty” at the top of the page
over her head but I had experimented and thought it would look better down at
the bottom but then I thought that it needed to have something at the top so I
added a pull quote and had it white because of her hair been black you wouldn't
be able to read it and white stands out. I also changed the font for the text “
Fenty Beauty” because I wanted it to stand out in a way that was different to the
rest of the text by having “Rihanna” written in bold white text that also stands out
but so does the “Fenty Beauty” text.
