Job Title: Sales and Distribution Manager
Function: Sales and Distribution
Location: Nairobi, Rift and Mountain territory
Principal Accountabilities
Setting weekly, monthly, and annual targets for sales volume by depot, sub- depot,
branch shop, and route vans/ motorbikes; in line with Agreed BATs volume targets and
ensures achievement of numbers.
Planning and directing Direct Sales Distribution targets by week, month, and annually by
Distribution Rep/ Salesman
Planning and directing route coverage by day by DR to ensure effective and efficient calls
to service the market and ensure distribution is fully optimized across Outlook territories.
Tracking sales by counter/ DR and analyze on a weekly basis giving explanations for
variances
Ensuring price compliance by counter and DRs according to the Recommended price list
to stockists and retail
Ensure listings in retail are done and no out of stocks are identified in the market
Evaluating market trends and behavior so as to be able to counteract any anticipated
changes
Fleet management of all vehicles and motorbikes owned by the company; ensuring driver
compliance to fleet regulations, service and maintenance.
Ensure compliance by staff to the Tobacco Control Law and also pertaining to the
revenue authorities
In charge of all key accounts; Ensure there is a robust replenishment plan, efficiency in
order delivery and adherence to agreed terms of trade for all key accounts.
Handle all customer complaints in liaison with BAT representatives.
Track actual Marketing spend on a monthly basis and explain variances Vs budget
