Jan 09 - April 09 Project Support UBS Investment Bank
Currently working on a Data Centre Decommissioning Project which consisted of the removal of 300
mixed Server and blade devices, which covers SQL ,Unix, Windows servers and various Cisco and
Brocade switches for decommissioning or Lift + Drop functions to new Data Centre this involved
managing issues of all aspects of decommissioning and moves. Chase up relevant streams to ensure
all data is secure or disks are wiped before removal from site. Ensure that the Lift + Drop devices are
fully operational when powered up in the new data centre and make sure all data Is accessible by the
end users and all network connections are restored.
July 2007 - August 2008 Incident Management / Team Lead
HP Brussels
I was employed as a global desktop trouble shooter by HP for a 49 country16000 seat 700+site PC
Refresh. The role involves the resolution of issues in the logistics, image management email and
software packaging, testing system integration with diverse global systems of 2000+ SW packages.
Troubleshooting RADIA delivered packages, Network Issues and deployment of a 750 seat global
blackberry rollout. Setup and managed the Model Office which consisted of 7 testers and managed all
testing in UAT suite. Also liaised with client to ensure maximum service from Model Office testing and
ongoing support facility was achieved.
May 2006 - June 2007 Build Centre Manager Getronics
Employed by Getronics for a system and hardware upgrade Build and install 85 Radia deployment
Servers at various Barclays Bank sites around the UK, my duties involved managing the build centre
with six engineers who were responsible for build and deployment of 3000 desktops / Laptops to
users in a 3 month time frame. Installation and configuration of Checkpoint encryption Software team
was also responsible for third line Remote support for the laptops ensuring all applications were
deployed and configured correctly. AD administration group policies, user data migrations,
MS exchange admin. And also desk side support after deployment.
July 2004 - May 2006 2nd 3rd line Support Dexia Bank
I was contracted to the International banque de Luxembourg as Network and Server Support for the
private bank based in London, which consisted of: Lotus Notes, SQL, Oracle, Reuters servers I was
responsible for the AD administration and maintenance of these servers. Also maintained LAN /WAN I
was responsible for the day-to-day 2nd, 3rd line support for 150 users and Desktops and 20 dealer
board systems which also involved supporting Reuters, Bloomberg, and Thompson and Swift banking
applications.
June 2003 – Dec 2003 2nd 3rd Support UAT testing Schroders Private Bank
I was contracted to Schroder’s & Co Private Bank in the role of IT Consultant. The project was a
Windows XP upgrade from NT4 to 450 client workstations which includes preparing installation and
configuration of banking software for packaging and distribution across the network full documentation
of installation and configuration of software. I liaised between the business and the IT Service provider
to make sure the upgrade occurs with minimum disruption to the day-to-day running of the business,
ensuring all packages are distributed to the right departments and all third party software is
functioning correctly. I also have experience of building and supporting EMC storage /Clarion C600.
3. August 2000 - December 2004 Getronics Abbey National Bank
I worked for Getronics, which was the service provider for Abbey National Bank. As 2nd / 3rd Line
Support I was involved in maintaining and troubleshooting the various Compaq Server/IBM Dell
Desktop systems Issues ranging from installation and configuration of software to problem solving
system conflicts both software/hardware. I have experience in migrations from MS mail to MS
Exchange 5.5 and Windows NT, 95, 98 to Windows 2000.I also have experience of ghost using
multicast server to distribute COE to the various departments within the business also configuring a
range of laptops (Compaq M700, M7400 and also desktops IBM and Dell machines) for remote
connections using Citrix ICA client and Remote desktop also support for remote sites who use VOIP
