3. INTRODUCTION TO
LIGHT
• LIGHT IS ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION WITH IN A
CERTAIN PORTION OF THE ELECTROMAGNETIC
SPECTRUM. THE WORD USUALLY REFERS TO VISIBLE
LIGHT, WHICH IS VISIBLE TO THE HUMAN EYE AND IT IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SENSE OF SIGHT.
• VISIBLE LIGHT IS USUALLY DEFINED AS HAVING WAVE
LENGTHS IN THE RANGE OF 400 – 700 NANOMETERS.

• 1.WE CUT THE CD TO 1 CIRCLE OF THE
SIZE OF THE TOILET PAPER ROLL
DIAMETER.
• 2. WE CUT THE BLACK PAPER TO 2
CIRCLES OF THE SIZE OF THE TOILET
PAPER ROLL DIAMETER.
• 3. WE CUT A NARROW LINE IN THE
MIDDLE OF ONE OF THE BLACK CIRCLES.
• 4. WE CUT A WIDE LINE IN THE MIDDLE
OF ONE OF THE BLACK CIRCLES.
• 5. WE TAPE THE CD CIRCLE TO ONE OF
THE SIDE OF THE TOILET PAPER ROLL
AND 1 OF THE BLACK CIRCLE ON THE
OTHER SIDE.

6. ACTIVITY 2: OBSERVING
DIFFRACTION
CONCLUTION:-
WE SAW A GOOD EXAMPLE OF DIFFRACTION WE
HAD LEARNED THAT DIFFRACTION HAPPEN WHEN
ANY OBJECT BLOCK THE WAVE.
• In this activity we set up a ripple tank
filled half way with water with two
bobbes to create waves.
• The things that are included to do this
expiriment is ( pastic container, wooden
blocks, water)
• We used water to show the waves other
than light.
7. ACTIVITY 2: OBSERVING
DIFFRACTION
• In this activity we used
aluminum peace and put in it
two holes .
• What we did here is that if we
go backwards could we see the
two holes combined together .
• If it works that means that the
two holes became on hole.
• We uses different light to check
if the hole is shown or no.
• We used (sun, white light ,
yellow light ,and red light ) to
see the difference.
8. ACTIVITY 3: OBSERVING
INTERFERENCE
• In this activity we took two
transparent paper that has
circle inside it.
• We put the two papers together
and then moving it slowly until
we saw a white lines that were
horizontal.
• When we placed them together
it is because we wanted to to
see the waves .
9. ACTIVITY 4:
OBSERVING
IRIDESCENCE
In this activity we used :
• (peacock feather, box with two
hole one is for the eye and the
other one is for the light, two
different kinds of light one is
yellow and the other one was
ultraviolet.
• We saw the iridescence that had
changed in the middle of the
peacock feather it had changed
from ( brown and green and
violet ) to (blue or violet) colors.
10. ACTIVITY 4: OBSERVING
INTERFERENCE
• The. soap bubble :-
• We used (hand soap, water ,cup to
blow it .)
• We have used this to make sure that
we are showing a interference.
• We were putting the hand soap in a
container and mix it with water then
we took the cup to put it in . After
that we blew it.
• The colors that came out of the
bubble were ( blue, pink ,purple
,green) .
11. A STAIRS
TITLE: THE HEALTHY STAIRS
IN OUR SOCIETY THE PEOPLE STOPPED WALKING WHICH COST
THEM MANY DISEASES FOR EXAMPLE:- DIABETES AND
OBESITY ESPECIALLY IN YOUNG PEOPLE.
WE CHOSE THIS PRODUCT BECAUSE WE WANT PEOPLE TO
WALK MORE AND TO BE MORE HEALTHY AND FIT ALSO TO
KEEP OUR SOCIETY SAFE AND AWARE FROM DANGEROUS
MOMENTS.

THE PEOPLE WILL USE OUR PRODUCT BECAUSE IT IS
ATTRACTIVE AND HELPFUL TO KEEP OUR LIFE SAFE .IT WAS A
NICE EXPERINCE WITH AL BAIRAQ TEAM.

• WE WERE SITTING IN A ALBAIRAQ WORKSHOP WHEN WE
SPOKE TO MISS RAMUSIA ABOUT OUR PRODUCT.
• WHICH CAN HELP THE SOCIETY IN QATAR ONE OF OUR
GROUP MEMBER REMEMBERED THAT SHE SAW A VIDEO IN
THE SOCIAL MEDIA ABOUT A MUSIC STAIRS SO SHE THOUGHT
THAT WE COULD MAKE AN LED STAIRS AND IT COULD BE
MORE ATTRACTIVE SO SHE WENT TO TOLD HER FRIEND
ABOUT THAT IF WE COULD DO IT AND TO BE THIS OUR MAIN
PRODUCT.
• THE GIRL REMEMBERED SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED IN THE
PAST WHAT HAPPEN TO HER WAS SO EMBARRASSED AND IT
WAS IN THE ESCALATOR HER ABAYA GOT STUCK IN THE
ESCALATOR SO SHE GOT MORE EMBARRASSED BECAUSE IT
OPENED IN FRONT OF MANY PEOPLE.
14. THE HEALTHY STAIRS
RESULTS
WE CAN DO THE HEALTHY STAIRS IN MALLS AND HELP
PEOPLE TO BE FIT AND HEALTHY .
IT CAN HELP PEOPLE FOR LOSING WEIGHT .
REDUCE ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION.
REDUCE THE INCIDENCE OF ESCALATORS.
KEEP US AWAY FROM EMBARRASSING SITUATIONS.
WE SOLVE A PROBLEM WHICH OUR SOCIETY FACE . WHICH
WAS THE ELECTRONIC STAIR WE WENT TO REDUCE THE
INCIDENCE OF ESCALATORS AND ELEVATOR.
15. THE HEALTHY STAIRS
RECOMMENDATIONS
• FIRST, WE HAD FACE MANY PROBLEMS AND THE MOST
IMPORTANT WAS TO CONVINCE PEOPLE TO WALK ON THE STAIRS.
• SECONDLY , IT WAS DIFFICULT TO TELL OUR SOCIETY THE
ESCALATORS TO CONSUME MORE ELECTRICAL ENERGY THAN
USING THE LED LIGHTS. WE MUST PROVIDE MORE ELECTRICAL
ENERGY FOR THE FUTURE GENRATIONS.
• LAST BUT NOT LEAST WE CHOSE THIS PRODUCT TO SAVE PEOPLE
LIFE AND ACCIDENTS THAT HAPPEN IN ELEVATORS & ESCLATORS.
• WE CAN USE OUR PRODUCT IN MALLS ESPICIALY IN CITY CENTER
IN DOHA BECAUSE WHEN WE ENTER THERE WE CAN SEE TWO
TYPE OF STAIRS ONE IS A REGULAR STAIRS WHICH DOESN’T HAVE
ANY ATTRACTION AND THE OTHER IS AN ESCLETOR .
• WE COULD TRY OUR HEALTHY STAIRS IN THE CITY CENTER STAIR.
16. CONCLUSIONS
• WHEN WE STARTED WITH AL-BAIRAQ TEAM WE DIDN’T
KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT LIGHT. WE THOUGHT IT IS JUST
COLORS AND LIGHT BULB . AFTER THAT TAUGHT US
EVERYTHING ABOUT LIGHT THAT WE COULD MAKE A
PRODUCT LIKE THIS PRODUCT .
