Light concept : A type of electromagnetic radiation that can be seen in the
human eye and has several properties such as reflection, refraction, interference
and diffraction

Activity 1: Light and their Spectra

Activity 2: Observing Diffraction

We built spectroscope to
analyze spectrum of different
light source.
We observed diffraction of
waves through variety of mediums
such as water waves.

Activity 4: Observing Iridescence

Interference is the effect of two
or more waves moving through
the same place at the same time.
There are two main types of structures that
create the colors observed in Iridescence:
1- Thin Film interference
2- Surface structure

6. INTRODUCTION
• Our problem is : Some plants do not grow in the summer of the State of Qatar
because of high temperatures .
• Our idea is : The work of a beautiful agricultural project inside houses does
not require sunlight because it will process photosynthesis through lights
• LED :[1- RED 2- purple]
7. AIM OF THE PROJECT
We will use red, purple lights to help in the process of
growing plants without using sunlight .
8. METHODS AND MATERIALS
• 1- acrylic sheet
• 2- LED lights with different colors
• 3- Electrical circuit
• 4- drilling pen
• 5- plants
• We will build container for the plants using acrylic sheet, in order for
the light to reflect on the plants to help them grow.
9. RESULTS
• Plants can grow without the need of the sunlight.
• The plants grow faster than the normal condition .
• By the time It soothes the air.
10. RECOMMENDATION
• We recommend that this idea should be implemented in agriculture
process, and should be used in houses, schools, farm.
• We also recommend that more researches should be done to develop this
idea.
11. CONCLUSION
• At the end of the project we will solve the problem of burning plant in the
summer , and makes the plant grows rapidly multiply , and gives a beautiful
and artistic form and softens the atmosphere , and increase the proportion of
oxygen in the air and reduce the proportion of carbon dioxide through the
process of photosynthesis
• Given that the acrylic sheets are relatively cheep and LEDs consume very little
electricity, applying this product is very cost efficient.
