Task 7!

  • 1. Schedule     Tuesday  10th  February  2015-­‐  Start  Logo  creation  (No  planning  required)  Use  the   mind  maps  and  mood  boards  created  with  the  ideas  on.       Thursday  12th  February  2015-­‐Briefly  looking  into  existing  and  previous  logo   designs  from  both  SAS  and  similar  organisations.       Monday  23rd  February  2015-­‐  to  have  a  good  grasp  on  the  idea  of  the  logo  (Using   mind  maps  created  in  previous  task)  Start  experimenting  with  designs.     Tuesday  24th  February  2015-­‐  To  develop  upon  the  idea  and  change  the  size  or   colour  to  find  suitable  logo  which  can  be  used  on  all  of  the  other  three  pieces.   (End  of  logo  creation)     Thursday  26th  February  2015-­‐  Start  of  Merchandise  creation.  Look  and  gather   information  on  merchandise  suitable  for  the  audience  aimed  towards.     Friday  27th  February  2015-­‐  Once  the  products  and  designs  are  decided  upon,   start  to  create  mind  maps.  (One  for  each  of  the  three  products)     Monday  2nd  March  2015-­‐  To  use  information  gathered  from  the  mind  maps  and   start  to  explore  Mood  boards,  annotating  them  will  also  give  better   understanding  to  what  is  going  to  be  created.     Tuesday  3rd  March  2015-­‐  Start  of  Merchandise  creation.  Start  creation  of  Product   one.     Thursday  5th  March  2015-­‐  to  start  creation  on  product  two.     Friday  6th  March  2015-­‐  to  start  creation  on  product  3,  make  sure  all  three  mock-­‐ ups  are  created.  (End  of  Merchandise  creation)     Monday  9th  March  2015-­‐  Start  of  Campaign  poster  creation.  Create  a  Mind  map   of  potential  ideas.  Then  explain  the  final  idea  in  a  couple  of  paragraphs.     Tuesday  10th  March  2015-­‐  Start  of  poster  creation.  To  already  have  an  idea  of  the   type  of  poster.  Whether  it  is  negative,  positive  or  both  and  whom  it  is  aimed   towards.  Then  start  to  look  at  how  to  entice  that  specific  audience.     Thursday  12th  March  2015-­‐  once  the  idea  and  theme  has  been  chosen  it  is  from   here  where  the  composition  needs  to  be  addressed.  Finding  the  correct  layout   should  have  a  good  amount  of  time  given  to  it.     Friday  13th  March  2015-­‐  By  now  the  idea  should  already  have  been  thought   about,  put  into  action  and  this  is  to  just  finish  off.  (End  of  A3  poster  creation)

Monday  16th  March  2015-­‐  (Last  week  of  production)  Create  and  annotate  flat   plans.  Looking  at  various  types  of  membership  forms  can  help  in  the  creation   stage.   Tuesday  17th  March  2015-­‐  Start  creation  of  Membership  form.  To  have  an  idea   on  whom  it  is  aimed  towards,  such  as  young  children  and  create  accordingly,   based  on  research  in  previous  tasks.     Wednesday  18th  March  2015  in  time  outside  of  class,  make  sure  the  idea  is  fully   up  to  date  and  do  as  much  as  I  can  to  contribute  to  it  without  the  use  of   Photoshop.       Thursday  19th  March  2015-­‐  to  spend  9:00-­‐12:15  in  class  and  then  the  afternoon   outside  of  lesson  to  expand  on  the  content  which  is  going  to  be  used.  Experiment   on  paper  with  the  layout  of  the  direct  debit  area  and  imagery.     Friday  20th  March  2015-­‐  (13:10-­‐14:35)  To  have  the  first  session  on  Friday  to   complete  the  form.       Friday  20th  March  2015-­‐  (14:50-­‐16:20)-­‐  Double  check  work,  create  a  back  up  and   then  place  on  blogger.  (Contingency  plan)   Saturday  21st  and  Sunday  the  22nd  if  necessary.  All  work  to  be  found  on  the  blog   Monday  23rd  March.       Constraints     Constraints   What  timescale  have  you  got  for  this  project?  How  could  this  impact  your  work?       The  timescale  for  the  production  task  is  above.  This  would  impact  my  work  as  if  I  do   not  allocate  the  correct  time  for  each  one  of  the  four  tasks  then  I  might  not  create  the   products  or  of  a  good  enough  standard  for  the  client.       It  is  from  this  why  I  have  given  90  minuets  at  the  end  of  the  product  to  a  contingency   plan.  This  time  allocated  will  allow  me  to  make  sure  the  work  is  of  a  good  enough   quality  before  sending  it  off.     Are  there  any  resources  you  will  need  for  this  project?       Resources  from  this  project  will  be  use  of  the  software.  Adobe  InDesign  for  the   creation  of  the  membership  form  and  campaign  poster,  Adobe  Photoshop  for  the  logo   and  merchandise  creation  and  Microsoft  PowerPoint  to  present  all  of  them  on.       In  terms  of  physical  resources  I  will  need  pens  and  paper  in  order  to  create  the  first   mind  maps  on  the  ideas  related  to  each  product.       I  will  need  a  scanner  to  import  the  images  into  the  computer.      
  • 3. A  new  memory  stick  for  the  project  in  order  to  store  the  various  ideas  for  all  products.   (Keeping  all  copies  of  work  can  help  show  development  when  evaluating)
