Engineer with 17 years of experience in supporting Eastern Range (ER) and Western Range (WR) operations,
as well as solution engineering and integration for Range systems. Areas of expertise include proposal
development and writing, engineering solution design and design implementation, and test procedure
development and writing. I have also acted as Integrated Project Team lead (IPT) and Technical Lead for several
projects. I have acted as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Communications, SATCOM, and Timing
sub-systems during Requirement Statement reviews and other technical meetings as required.
Engineer, 12/1998 to 04/2015
AF Contractor – Patrick AFB, FL
General responsibilities over my time on the Ranges included the cradle to grave project lifecycle. The
lifecycle included requirements definition and allocation, engineering the solution, and support to or lead
for installation and integration. Also included were test procedure production, support to test procedure
production, execution of informal and formal testing, documentation of testing, and project close out. I
have been integral to proposal development and writing for several projects.
Served as IPT and Technical Lead for the L-Band replacement project which replaced the L-Band timing
system with the GPS and ethernet based Timing Health and Management System (THAMS).
Responsibilities included requirements definition and allocation, solution engineering, coordination
with stakeholders, production of the test procedure, formal testing, and writing extensive Technical Order
(TO) updates. I was also responsible with the Test and Engineering department to determine how to verify
the requirements listed in the requirements allocation matrix.
Served as IPT and Technical Lead for the Lead Air Filled Cable (LAFC) grounding project.
Responsibilities included proposal development, test procedure development, and engineering and
implementation of the solution.
Served as IPT and Technical lead for the final phase of the LAFC replacement project. Responsibilities
included coordinating department team members, test procedure development, test execution, and most
importantly coordination with the many affected ER stakeholders as well as the Wing.
Served as IPT and Technical Lead for the Range Tandem Switch (RTS) replacement. Responsibilities
included coordinating department team members and coordination with stakeholders and the Wing to
determine facility down time for cutover and testing. The technical documentation provided by the Vendor
(Orion) did not meet stakeholder requirements and as IPT and Technical Lead I heavily edited the
provided documentation as well as writing an appendix to the supplied documentation. I was also
responsible with the Test and Engineering department to determine how to verify the requirements listed
in the requirements allocation matrix.
Earned Silver Ring of Quality as team engineer for the development of the Virtual Range Simulator (VRS)
lab environment.
Team engineer on the Consolidated Information Facility (CIF) Activation and Integration project. Radar,
Telemetry, SATCOM, and other sub-systems were formally tested.
