I have four years of experience in the Nuclear Power industry specializing in Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Design Engineering at Browns Ferry
Nuclear Site (BFN). As an Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer, I am responsible for the development, review and oversight of Engineering
technical products in support of design modifications of major and moderate scope to plant systems and components performed in-house or by
subcontractors. I plan, schedule, and coordinate phases of the design change process among Plant Operations, Maintenance, Cyber Security, and
various other Engineering disciplines. I identify, analyze, and solve technical design issues in a timely manner and ensure design change information is
effectively communicated and reviewed by impacted plant organizations. I evaluate Nuclear Industry Operating Experience and recommend changes
in system design or operation as appropriate. I perform 10CFR50.59 screening reviews in accordance with NPG-SPP-09.4 as required. I perform vendor
manual reviews in accordance with the Vendor Manual Control Program (NPG-SPP-09.20) as required. I prepare cost estimates and present technical
recommendations for problem resolution of plant issues to management. I provide procurement support by preparation of requisitions, evaluating
proposals, reviewing vendor submittals and coordinating meetings with vendors. I provide field Engineering support including walk-downs,
construction support, testing and startup.
