 Vocabulary: body parts (finger, head, nose, chin, arm, leg and foot)
 Structure: imperatives
 Integrated skills: listening, reading and speaking.

Materials
1. Song activity and video: ‘One little finger’

2. Game: ‘Simon says” (touch, close and open + parts of the body)

Introduction
In this lesson, learners will be introduced to the topic ‘Body parts’. They will listen
to the song called “One Little Finger” and then they will play the game “Simon
says”. They will also practise present simple, mainly the imperatives as well as
singing the song. Students will work with a matching activity and they will have to
paint an animal following the teacher’s instructions. After that, we will play a game
with flashcards and finally students will find words related to the topic in a
wordsearch as extension work.
Procedure
1. Introduce the topic (5–7 mins)

 Ask the students if they already know any part of the body and if they can
identify them.
 Introduce the topic of body parts with the song “One Little Finger”. Review the
parts of the body that are featured in the song while playing the game “Simon
says”
3. Focus on vocabulary (15 mins)
 Matching activity (5’): students have to match the written form of the new
vocabulary with the corresponding images.
 Colouring activity (10’): we will give our students a numbered picture of a cat
and they will have to colour each part of the body following the teacher’s
instructions.
4. Focus on structure (10 mins)
 Game: we will divide the class into two groups. Each group will have phrases
related to the topic put downwards on the table. In turns, each student will have
to pick up a flash card and run to stick it on the board next to the corresponding
picture.
 Relaxing/breathing exercise
4. Home assignment
 At the end of the class, we will give our students a word search for them to do it
at home and it will be checked the following class.

Lesson plan on "One Little Finger" song

  • 1. Practica II – Profesora:EstelaBraun - UNLPam Lessonplan “Songs” – Aimé Huarte and FlorenciaPérez 1 May,8th : Body parts Topic Body parts Aims To develop and practise:  Vocabulary: body parts (finger, head, nose, chin, arm, leg and foot)  Structure: imperatives  Integrated skills: listening, reading and speaking. Age Primary (6 -7 years old) Time 30 minutes approximately Materials 1. Song activity and video: ‘One little finger’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBVqcTEC3zQ 2. Game: ‘Simon says” (touch, close and open + parts of the body) 3. Flashcards 4. Photocopies 5. Technological devices 6.Tape Introduction In this lesson, learners will be introduced to the topic ‘Body parts’. They will listen to the song called “One Little Finger” and then they will play the game “Simon says”. They will also practise present simple, mainly the imperatives as well as singing the song. Students will work with a matching activity and they will have to paint an animal following the teacher’s instructions. After that, we will play a game with flashcards and finally students will find words related to the topic in a wordsearch as extension work. Procedure 1. Introduce the topic (5–7 mins)

Practica II – Profesora:EstelaBraun - UNLPam Lessonplan “Songs” – Aimé Huarte and FlorenciaPérez 2  Ask the students if they already know any part of the body and if they can identify them.  Introduce the topic of body parts with the song “One Little Finger”. Review the parts of the body that are featured in the song while playing the game “Simon says” 3. Focus on vocabulary (15 mins)  Matching activity (5’): students have to match the written form of the new vocabulary with the corresponding images.  Colouring activity (10’): we will give our students a numbered picture of a cat and they will have to colour each part of the body following the teacher’s instructions. 4. Focus on structure (10 mins)  Game: we will divide the class into two groups. Each group will have phrases related to the topic put downwards on the table. In turns, each student will have to pick up a flash card and run to stick it on the board next to the corresponding picture.  Relaxing/breathing exercise 4. Home assignment  At the end of the class, we will give our students a word search for them to do it at home and it will be checked the following class.
