The Cathedral of Reggio Calabria has undergone many changes throughout history due to earthquakes, wars, and shifts between the Latin and Greek-Byzantine churches. It is dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption and follows a neo-Romanesque style. The interior is bright and spacious with stained glass windows and an impressive layout of three aisles divided by marble columns. The presbytery is elevated from the main hall and houses a wooden choir and large wooden crucifix.
