The Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction consists of 30 credits (10 courses).
Candidates will complete 18 credits of core courses and 12 credits in concentration area.

6. Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction Applying to the M.Ed in Curriculum
and Instruction Program
Candidates for the online M.Ed program will have:
• A B.A. from an accredited institution, preferably in a field related to education
• Overall undergraduate GPA of 2.8
• Previous teaching, administrative, or experience in other educational roles is desired but is
not required
Candidates for the online program must submit:
• Application (with $30 non-refundable application fee)
• Two recommendation letters: One must be from the candidate’s supervisor and speak
directly to the candidate’s intellectual capability and ability to be successful in master’s
level work
• Current resume
• One-page, single-spaced personal statement articulating reasons for pursuing graduate
study in education and how the degree will help the candidate reach their goals

Faculty
Western New England University has a faculty of 220 full-time instructors of whom 90
percent have received their terminal degrees. The University also has 130 adjunct instruc-
tors who share specialized knowledge of their discipline and professional experience with
our students. The Western New England University School of Law has a distinguished legal
faculty numbering 33 full-time instructors and approximately 30 adjunct instructors.
Students
The University enrolls approximately 3,800 students, including 2,520 full-time undergradua-
tes, 440 in full- and part-time programs in the School of Law, 150 pharmacy students, and
690 in part-time undergraduate and graduate programs.
