Golden Apple
The 200-acre Westchester campus offers a traditional American
style college community, in beautiful surroundings, just 40
minutes from New York City. The Pleasantville area has lush
green scenery and is abundant with arts, theater and historic
sites. The county is known by the locals as New York’s ‘Golden
Apple’ due to the high number of Fortune 500 companies such
as IBM, PepsiCo, and MasterCard operating here, alongside
entrepreneurial and emerging start-ups.
College experience
Join the close-knit community at Westchester, where there are

New York City (NYC) is a delight for the senses with many sights,
sounds and flavors to experience. More than 800 languages
are spoken here, and art, music and food from various cultures
combine to make New York a very special place.
Culture capital
Home to the highest number of theaters in any city in the world,
NYC is famous for outstanding plays, comedy and Broadway
musicals. Frequent festivals and parades fill the city streets,
celebrating everything from Thanksgiving to Chinese New Year.

Airport pick-up
Receive a warm welcome from our meet-and-greet service at
the airport on specific arrival dates and have the opportunity
to meet other international students arriving at the same time
as you. From here, we will provide a safe and simple transfer
directly to your new accommodation by private transport, ready
to begin your new adventure.
Modern accommodation
Having a comfortable home to relax and study in is important.
We organize safe, modern and high-quality accommodation for
you, close to the University campus and your classes. Whether
you stay in a sociable student residence or a friendly homestay,
you are sure to feel at home.
Orientation week
In the first week of your program, you will enjoy tours around the
campus, student facilities and the city. We will help you to open
a bank account and offer advice on US culture. You will also be
introduced to your program and meet your teachers. Orientation
week is a great time to meet and make friends with other
international students.
Student life on campus
As an international student, you will have access to everything
the University offers. Use the libraries for study, the computer
facilities for research, and join sports clubs and associations for
fun, social events. You will be a student of the University from
the first day on your program on campus.

Language courses
Develop confidence and fluency in English language by
studying a range of skills subjects: Conversation and Listening;
Grammar and Writing; Pronunciation; Reading and Vocabulary;
Vocabulary Building; and Idioms.
Study skills courses
Academic Writing
Develop better control of written English and understand how to
use it in academic writing. Learn to compose, evaluate and edit
essays for grammar, organization, and tone.
Academic Reading / Study Skills
Learn how to write an American-style research paper, build
academic reading and test-taking strategies, and develop an
ability to listen and take notes during lectures.
Transferable academic credit courses
You can transfer credits earned on these courses to your
bachelor’s degree. See the program structure for the number
of credits. Students must earn a C grade or above and
demonstrate standard English language development to earn
the maximum number of transferable credits.
This is an indication of classes you may take, but the curriculum
can vary from year to year.
Introduction to the University Community
Explore the unique aspects of university life by engaging in
personal discovery through reading, writing and discussion.
New York and the visual arts
An introduction to the painting, sculpture, photography, and
installation art of the New York art world. Study is accompanied
by visits to a wide range of museums, galleries, and artist studios.
Introduction to Computing
Guided, hands-on exercises with Microsoft Excel, web
development (HTML) and computer programming (Alice), and
take part in lectures and discussions about software topics,
careers and society.
Religions of the globe
A study of the major religions of the globe — Buddhism,
Christianity, Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Taoism
— and the formative influences they have on human culture.
Public Speaking
Focus on the principles of effective speaking and listening
in English. Students prepare and deliver a variety of original
presentations to inform and persuade. At least one presentation
is video-taped.
World history after 1650
A general survey of world history from the mid-17th
century. Study the world’s major cultural areas, their unique
achievements and their interaction with and relation to
other societies.

What’s next?
1. Receive confirmation of receipt
Once we receive your complete application and supporting
documents, we will send you confirmation of receipt by email. Your
application is then submitted to the University for admission review.
2. Admission
If successful, you will be offered admission to the University, either
through the Global Pathways program or direct entry. If you are
admitted to the Global Pathways program and submit a higher
English test score before classes begin, you may be offered a
shorter duration pathway or direct entry.
4. Receive I-20
Once you have accepted your offer, and after all financial
documentation has been received, a visa eligibility document (Form
I-20) is issued. You will need the I-20 to apply for a visa.
6. Pay program tuition
Once you have secured your visa, you must pay (by bank draft, bank
transfer or credit card) tuition for your program before your enrollment.
8. Arrive in the USA
Join your new classmates in the Orientation Program to receive a full
introduction to university life in the USA. You will make friends and
get help and support on adjusting to your new home.
9. Classes begin!
3. Accept offer within 30 days
To secure your place at the University, you will need to accept the
offer by paying a deposit (which will be specified in your offer letter)
within 30 days of receiving your offer. Payment can be made via
bank draft, electronic transfer or credit card.
5. Apply for a visa
Allow approximately six weeks to receive your US visa after the
US embassy has received your complete visa application and
payment. Your Global Pathways representative can provide help
and assistance with the visa process. In the case of a visa refusal,
your Global Pathway deposit will be refunded.
7. Receive pre-arrival information
We will send you all the information you need such as your
accommodation information and what to pack so you can prepare
for your trip.

Official transcript(s) for all academic institutions attended: including secondary school and university, with supporting grade scale: submit an English translation if transcripts
are in another language.
Personal statement: You should answer the following questions in your statement
Undergraduate applicants: Why do you want to study at Pace? What is your major choice and plans for the future? What makes you stand out? Do you play an instrument or a
sport? Have you been part of a club or volunteer group in school? Do you have work experience?
Graduate applicants: Identify motivation for applying. Specify expectations, outcomes, and goals for the Pace master’s program. Outline professional / academic experiences and
accomplishments related to the program.
Reference letters: Two letters from by employers and / or professors or instructors
Curriculum vitae / résumé: List work / school history, languages, awards, certificates, volunteer work, and accomplishments (required for master’s degree, optional for undergraduate).
Passport copy
Completed Pace University Financial Affidavit for International Students form with supporting documentation (bank statement / letter or scholarship letter)
Official GRE or GMAT scores if required (graduate applicants only). Include breakdown of your GRE or GMAT score
If you already have a valid F-1 or J-1 visa, complete Transfer Recommendation (please visit www.global-pathways.com to download form)
