• The World Personality, Comes from the Latin word person meaning “Mask”.
Personality Plays a key Role in Organizational behavior because of the Way
that people Think feel and behave effect many aspects of the workplace.
PEOPLE’S PERSONALITY INFLUENCE THEIR BEHAVIOR IN GROUP THEIR
ATTITUDES AND THE WAY THEY MAKE DECISIONS
TYPES OF PEOPLE AND TYPES OF CULTURE
All Styles of interpersonal relations have equal value
is to identify People in history Who represent
distinctly different Styles
• Traditional
• Participative
• Individualistic.
Traditional
bring, roots, stability and discipline that every
organization needs if it is going to grow and Prosper
they provide Systems and procedures that allow alot
of People to work. Togather in an organized way.
• Participatives
• are interactive and friendly! they Provide the glue that holds People together.
As Leaders, they are Participatives : as followers, they are good team Players,
Participative are the harmonizing agents needed by every family word group
and by every and Provide good Participatives are agents needed Work group
and Organization. Participa tives provide Warmth and Support by their very
nature
• Individualistes
• Provide new ideas, and creativity. they are independent and resist close
Supervision, but When Personally motivated, they are dynamic and creative.
An organization needs Creativity
STRENGTH OF INDIVIDUALISTS
• Challenge the system.
• Find Flows in Procedure •
• Provide reform where needed.
• Generate new ideas
• Celebrate the individual.
INTERPERSONAL STYLES AND LEADERSHIP EFFECTIVE
All three Styles of interpersonal relations are important for Organizational
Success
• Character
• leadership
• Diversity
Character:
A Person anything odd dress, Strange habits, even Personality
differences when Character is good.
Leadership :
Principle of effective leadership each had a Vision and a plan
Diversity :
Showed understanding responsiveness, and flexibility in relating to
all types of People.
