• Ethos is the distinguishing character, sentiment,
moral nature or guiding belief of a person, group or
institution.
• It is derived from the Greek word which means
"character".
• Ethos forms a guiding belief of a person or
community which in turn builds the code for ethics
that guides the community or organization in its
behaviour.
5. • If the leader ethos is of good character it builds
moral character, if it is bad moral suffers.
• It is the powerful character because it establishes
the way workers interact with each other and the
degree of responsibility have to achieving the
organisation goals and objectives.
6. PRINCIPLES OF ETHOS TO CONDUCT
• I WILL ALWAYS PLACE THE MISSION FIRST.
• I WILL NEVER ACCEPT DEFEAT.
• I WILL NEVER QUIT OR STOP.
• I WILL NEVER LEAVE A FALLEN COMRADE.

leadership because it gives them wings to take
risks, accomplish goals, and fly high.
