what they’d expect from a rock
magazine.
3. Attracting my audience
To attract my audience I asked 20 people to fill out a questionnaire which had
different sorts of questions on such as how often do you buy music magazines and
how much are you willing to pay for a music magazine. This questionnaire helped
me a lot because I knew what kind of things people expected from music
magazines and the questionnaire made me base most of my magazine on the
results. I did this because then my magazine would interest most people who read
other rock magazines. I think this is good because it reaches out to people who like
rock/ alternative music and creates a fan base for my magazine. Some of my
questions were what would you want in a music magazine and is there anything
you don’t like in the current magazines you read. This is a very important question
because the results for this can bring in or take out a lot of readers because what I
out in the magazine needs to be things they want to read. I asked what they don’t
like in music magazines so I know not to put these things in because it will bring
more custom and more people will be interested.
