The question on everyone’s minds is with all the Spiderman movies that were released can we really stomach
another one? Will this really breathe life into a dying franchise as Spiderman 3 was awful? I’m glad that this
movie lives up to its name and all the hype too, it’s amazing! I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that
V irosh M agz Zakari H ow ard Brett
there was a post credits scene that hints at a sequel. J In this untold reboot story that gets into what we really
want to see, a true to life version of the comics that finally does ‘Spidey’ some justice. With that said this movie
was so well executed it is up there with ‘The Avengers’ in my books as far as crisp execution and storytelling.
Andrew Garfield who plays the title role of Spiderman was well cast as he handled the elements of comedy, N ikki A nnette Widy a N aomi Lidia
drama and action with precision without coming of as cheesy. I could only really criticise one thing and that is
the lamely animated villain, The Lizard (Rhys Ifans) who comes off as more laughable than scary or fierce! F acebook social plugin
Another great side to the story is we get to see the relationship between Peter and his first love Gwen Stacy
(Emma Stone) emerge and blossom. The truth behind Peter’s parents is exposed and the challenges he faces
throughout high school as he discovers his super powers and abilities. Well worth the price of 3D and has made ADVERTISING
me a Spidey fan all over again. (MR)
This hugely anticipated epic finale of the Batman: Dark Knight Series of movies has stayed true to the comics
2. and that’s why they work. When you assemble a group of versatile actors such as Christian Bale (Batman), Anne
Hathaway (Catwoman), Morgan Freeman (Lucius Fox), Michael Caine (Alfred), Gary Oldman (Commissioner
Gordon) and Tom Hardy (Bane) you know you’re in for a real treat! Under the masterful direction of Christopher
Nolan we see a new antagonist who is far worse than the maniacal cackling clown, so excellently portrayed by
the late Heath Ledger. Bane is a calculating big picture kind of guy and has the brute and brains to back it up.
You will see Batman and Gotham pushed to its limits as it seems that they’re helpless against the onslaught that
has overtaken the city itself. This is an exciting prospect because it will take sheer determination and the
greatest sacrifice to even stand a chance at setting the wrong things right! Relationships are taken to boiling
point as the line between friend and foe is blurred. This is bigger, better and more engrossing than the previous
two films (Which were amazing I might add), we get to see cool new gadgets like a flying car, a kick butt batgun
and a new batsuit. Catwoman and Bane were great additions to the ensemble and if that wasn’t enough we also
get to see other great characters make cameo appearances too. This is the definitive Batman movie. (MR)
