PROBLM SLOVED BY THE IDEA
 To fulfill increasing demand growing population over the years there is
need of increase in food production
 To increase the yield of the crops fertilizers are containing
predominantly nitrate, phosphorus, potassium are essential.
 Improper use of fertilizers turns into the poor quality of fruits
 Resulting in low agricultural product quality and leads into serious
environmental pollution
 Quantity of NPK dependent on the crop type and plant growth status
how much quantity of fertilizer to be used is further dependent on the
present quantity of NPK of the soil
 This idea will helps the farmers to high optimized plant yield while
minimizing the consumption of fertilizer
HOW HAVE THE OTHER SLOVED PROBLEM
 Other have solved this problem using fiber optic sensor
 Fiber optic sensors fiber based device that will detect the quantities
like concentration of chemical species
 Principle is of the optic sensor is based on the interaction of the
between incident light and soil surface properties
 Characteristics of reflected light vary chemical properties
 Electrochemical sensors consists of an ion selective membranes which
target ion and transducer will transforms into detectable electrical
signals
 NPK sensors
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE IDEA
 It consists of 4 parts
 Atomizer
 Burner
Photo detector
display or LCD
 In atomizer ions met with flame solution will evaporated metal ions
gain the energy will go higher energy levels it will emits some photon
DETALIED DESCRIPTION OF THE IDEA
 Flame photometry is method used to determine the
concentration of ions in aqueous solution here soil sample
taken from farm and make aqueous solution
 The various processes in the flame are discussed below:
 Desolation: The metal particles in the flame are dehydrated
by the flame and hence the solvent is evaporated.
 Vaporization: The metal particles in the sample are
dehydrated. This also led to the evaporation of the solvent.
 Atomization: Reduction of metal ions in the solvent to
metal atoms by the flame heat.
 Excitation: The electrostatic force of attraction between the
electrons and nucleus of the atom helps them to absorb a
particular amount of energy
• Emission process: Since the higher energy state is
unstable the atoms jump back to the stable low energy
state with the emission of energy in the form of
radiation of characteristic wavelength, which is
measured by the photo detector.
• The following color may emitted from the soil sample
• 1.Nitrogen(ammonia):-yellow color
• 2.Potassium :-violet
• 3.Phosphrous:-pale blue green
• 4.Calcium:-orange or red
• micro nutrients
• 5.Cobalt :-silver white
• 6.Cu(ii):-green
• 7.Cu(iii);-blue-green
• Finally LCD will display quantity of these elements
.
HOW MY IDEA IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER
 Atomic emission spectroscopy vs optical fiber sensor &electrochemical
sensor
 Where optical fiber sensor is just interaction of a light with the soil
 My idea is not that much complex as compered fiber optic sensor and
electrochemical sensor
 My idea is cost effective as compered to optic sensor and
electrochemical sensor
 And it is also familiarity to end user as compered to optical fiber sensor
And electrochemical sensor

EMBODIMENTS
 There is no as such structural alternatives for this idea
LITERATURE OR PRIOR OF ARTS
 Wikipedia
 Chemistry manuals
 Web links:-www.chemguide.co.uk
 www.encyclopedia.com
CONCLUSION
 ADAVANTAGES
 It is very quick and convenient and it is sensitive even in ppm range
 It is simple quantitative test
 Inexpensive
 DISADVANTAGES
 Concentration metal ion in solution cannot be measured accurately
 It is very difficult to obtain the accurate results of ions
 A standard solution with known molarities is required for
determining the concentration of the ions which will corresponds to
the emission spectra
