 Love ,Friendship and
faith
 Influence Of Death
 Self-Sacrifice
 Perseverance
 Power
 Good vs. Evil
 Choice
 Value of Humility
 Rebellion
 Education
 Tom Riddle
 Grew without the unconditional love and
care.
 In early life because of lack of love ,Find
sociopathic Quality
 He also Murder his father and grandparents
and uses their death to create horcrux
 Snape loves for Lily potter.
Voldemort kills Lily
 (if he didn’t kill her then he still have had a loyal
servant and Harry might have been successfully
killed ago )
 Harry has friend
(they believe in him and his mission)
 Voldemort has followers
(they have fear that he kill him)
 Strong bonding Harry ,Ron and Hermione.
 Harry ’s faith in the dead; especially dumbledore.
 Main Theme ,Many Deaths- Mad-Eye moody
, Fred Wesley , Lupin, Tonks Serverus
Snape ,Dobby, Voldemort.
 James and Lilly Potter surrender to death to
save their son.
 Harry face death bravely.
 Death of Horcuxes
 The character are constantly put into life
threatening situations where they must sacrifice
themselves to save someone else- it is seen as
a “good” character if they go through with it .
 Even self-sacrifice to save oneself .
Voldemort must divide himself into 7 parts to save
himself from ever dying.
 Lily’s sacrifice herself for Harry
 Harry give up his life to save the world and
others.
 Harry , Ron and Hermione continuously try
and figure out how to destroy voldemort
 All of the intertwining stories that emerges
here are about keeping faith staying true to a
mission.
 Perseverance is the name of the game and
all of our character play it.
 One of the most important themes is the
misuse of Power. Voldemort hopes to
conquer the wizarding world by mastering
death. In order to do this he must defeat
Harry Potter.
 Harry must put aside his longing for power
and choose Hallows or Horcruxes.
 Voldemort’s thirst for power takes him on a
torturing and murdering spree.
 Voldemort and Death Eaters represent the
“Evil”
 Harry and his friend represent the “Good”
 Snape Character (Comlex)
 After Dumbledore’s death he’s lost the guiding
light and got chance to make his own decision
 If he might take wrong decision ,then many
people affected by his own decision.
 Voldemort , at the end , is given a chance at
redemption but he refuse
 Dumledore-
“ It is our choices Harry , that show us who we
truly are, far more than our abilities”.
 Showcases the humility of the protagonist.
 Though Harry grows up in a horrible place
,even after he learns of his fame & wealth – he
continues to stay humble.
 His reputation does not change his attitude in
public but only makes him want to live up to the
publicity.
Sharply contrast to the character to Draco Malfoy
who grew up wealthy and famous but boasts
about his family and money
 Clear rules and strict enforcement at Hogworts but
Harry is unable to abide by the rules to protect
those around him.
 He rebels but not because he’s failing at something
but because it enhances his heroism – shows he
his able to think for himself & make his own
judgements.
 Harry – picture of rebellion but his best friend
Hermione strictly follows the rules .
 One of the main lessons of the story is that while
rules are Good and necessary , sometimes it is
necessary to question and even break them for the
right reasons.
 Knowledge is power .
 Throughout the series , older Wizards stress the
importance of Hogwarts and how the
knowledge they gain in those walls will help
them forever.
 The students do not understand that until their
education is put on hold and they must teach
other the importance of knowledge.
 Hermione is a running example of this theme
Thank you
