48. Themes
1. Love,
2. Death,
3. Family,
4. Good vs Evil,
5. The difficulty of dead loving it dead,
6. Keeping Faith with.
49. love
Love plays a crucial role in ‘ Harry
Potter’. Rowling demonstrates the power
of love from very beginning of the
narratives by explaining that Harry’s
ability to survive Voldemort’s killing
curse is a direct result of his mother’s
love.
 Deathly hallows brings this whole
question of love into the clearest focus
yet love here just about needing someone
or missing someone or feeling butterflies
in your stomach when you see someone.
50. death
Death has played a central role in each
book, and is at the heart of the final
confirmation between Harry and
Voldemort. Near the end of the book,
professor Dumbledore tells Harry,
“ Death is but the next great
adventure”.
Death can also be viewed as something
beautiful. Rowling still makes a clear
distinction between the natural process
of death and Voldemort’s warped
attempts to ‘defeat’ it and attend
immortality
51. Family
Through the lens of family, the differences between
harry and Voldemort are reinforced. Harry end up
relying on this surrogate family for guidance and
support.
Harry however Riddles never got a taste of what
unconditional love was like, and never learned to trust
others. Harry’s experience with the Dursley was
apparently no better than Riddle’s time in the
orphanage, he was able to see directly what
unconditional love could be like.
52. Good vs Evil
It’s the oldest story ever told the forces of good against Evil!
 Light vs Darkness!
 The heroes vs Villain!
 Goodies vs baddies!
 Friends against foes!
Though Harry’s saga rehashes some ancient themes, it’s still
fresh and new anyway.
Good and Evil in Deathly hallows isn’t always clear cut
demonstrated by characters like snap an Dumbledore.
53. The difficulty of loving the dead
Harry spends the entire book struggling to complete a
guest that his friend and mentor, Dumbledore, charged
him with before he died.
Harry’s story Demonstrates that the reason it’s so
difficult to love the dead is that it’s hard to believe that
they love you.
They can no longer explain their action or profess their
love, and it’s easy to believe that they are simply gone,
past caring about or loving anyone.
54. Keeping faith with the Dead
But Dumbledore is not the only dead character who
needs the loyalty and love of the living.
Snape is a loyal follower of Dumbledore, but his loyalty
and bravery are really manifestation of his need to stay
loyal to lily potter keeping faith with the woman be
loved after her death.
55. Sub themes
 Sacrifices
Kind of pain that Harry goes
through in this book when
he’s got to give up his life to
save the world.
This is the trade off that we
all knew was coming along
that Lily’s sacrifice of herself
for Harry and Harry’s
sacrifice for others.
 Betrayal
In the theme of Betrayal when it’s
in order to save the world, Maybe
there’s a nicer way of saying it.
Betrayal is a key factor here, we
spend a lot of time wondering who’s
betrayal whom, or who might have
Betrayed.
 Harry Potter and deathly hallows
seems to teach us that the old
saying is true all is fair in love and
war. And when those two things
anything might happen.
56. Selfishness
 Another strong theme is
selfishness. Harry makes the last
sacrifices in this book, walking
forward to die in order to save
others. He accepts the choice
willingly.
 Neville fits against the evil
regime at Hogwarts Because he
knows it is better for everyone
he could easily left alone.
 The home
 Harry’s greatest struggles
though all the years we’ve own
him is his sense of not
belonging.
He had many places that are
kind of substitute homes, but
never a place to really call his
own.
57. Power
The prime example of this is Voldemort, whose
unquenchable thirst for power takes him on a
torturing and murdering spree.
The moral of the story is, power isn’t all it’s cracked
up to be and we should all hope that we would have
the same strength Harry does when he’s offered
ultimate power, and turns it down.
58. Movie adaptations

final novel in the series, was adapted into two feature-
length parts.
Part 1 was released in November 2010, and Part 2 was
released in July 2011.
The story follows Harry Potter, who has been asked by
Dumbledore to find and destroy Lord Voldemort’s
secret to immortality the Horcruxes.
64. The flight from privet Drive
 Deathly Hallows-Part 1 hits
the ground running with
Harry’s frantic flight from
Privet Drive. Six members of
the Order take on his
appearance through the use
of Polyjuice Potion, and a
complex flight plan is devised
in which Harry and each
fake-Harry are paired with an
Order member and sent on a
unique path however.
 The Death Eaters were tipped
off, and a vicious, mid-air
battle ensues.
65. Ron destroys the locket
Voldemort’s locket horcrux, worn in turns by
Harry, Ron, and Hermione as they travel the
country, brings out the worst in Ron.
When our heroes get their hands on the Sword of
Gryffindor, capable of destroying a horcrux,
Harry knows it must be Ron who dispatches this
particular shard of Voldemort’s soul. Sword in
hand, Ron prepares to strike, only to be
confronted by the locket’s horrific defences.
Terrible visions of Harry and Hermione
materialize, taunting Ron for thinking they
needed him, then kissing passionately.
Ron’s anger and humiliation threaten to
overwhelm him... Until he marshals his courage,
swings the sword, and destroys the locket for
good.
66. Drawing from other sources
In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
– Part 1, Harry and his friends learn that
some of the magical objects they’ve
encountered over the past six years all
have greater significance than they
could’ve ever imagined.
They meet with Xenophilius Love good-
magic historian, publisher of wizarding
alt-weekly The Quibbler, and father of
the loopy Luna Love good –who draws the
symbol of the three deathly hallows
combined, which would make the one
person who finds them a “master of
death,” Super powerful.
67. Dobby knew the dangers of the
Malfoy house, having once been
enslaved to it yet he still came
to Harry’s aid without
hesitation. He saved the lives of
Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna,
Dean, Ollivander and Griphook.
Without his rescue, not only
would they not have gotten out
of there alive but Harry
wouldn’t have dewanded
Malfoy nor would he have been
able to work with Griphook to
get the cup-horcrux. In a sense,
Dobby indirectly helped to
defeat Voldemort. He was a
brave elf and he died a hero.
68. Memories of Severus Snape
 In the book and in
Deathly Hallows: Part 2,
Harry uses the Pensieve
to look through Severus
Snape’s memories.
Some of the memories
included in the book are
not seen in the movie,
though.
69. The Elder Wand’s fale
 Throughout Deathly Hallows, everyone
from Harry to Voldemort to Dumbledore
seems to be searching for the Elder
Wand, rumoured to be the most
powerful wand in existence. Though it
originally belongs to Dumbledore,
Voldemort removes it from his tomb, but
the wand never obeys him in the way
that he wants.
Due to a complicated bit of wand lore,
the wand actually belongs to Harry,
giving him an advantage over
Voldemort. However, the Elder Wand’s
fate changes between the book and the
movie.
70. In the 19-years-ahead epilogue to
Deathly Hallows, we met Harry
Potter’s trio of children with Ginny
Weasley with particular attention
paid to Albus Severus Potter, his
second son,as he prepared to board
the Hogwarts Express for his start
at the school.
The boy was warring with the
possibility that he might be sorted
into House Slytherin, but Harry
kindly told him that he’d succeed
wherever he ended up and that he
could choose Gryffindor if it meant
that much to him.
71. …
This isn’t a terrible film as films
go, but it’s the only one that falls
short of being a properly
enjoyable watch. If it can’t help
being stuck with the less exciting
and intriguing parts of the final
book, it still stretches things out
far more than it needs to.
The concluding volume may not
have reached the impossibly high
expectations of myself and other
fans, but it still features some of
the best writing and most complex
themes of the entire series, and
brings the saga to an exciting and
satisfying end.
72. The conflict in this novel is between the protagonist,
Voldemort’s following, and the antagonist, Harry and
the rest of the witches and wizards of the magical
world. Voldemort wants to take over the world and kill
all non-pure-bloods (including Muggles).
Harry and the other wizards want to just live in peace
with wizards and muggles as equals. It is an external
conflict because it does not directly affect people’s
emotions. The thing that finally ends the conflict is
Harry defeating Voldemort

1. The Resurrection stone.
2. The Elder wand .
3. The locket Horcruxes.
4. The Spread of Deathly
Hallows Symbol.
74. The Resurrection stone
One of the Deathly hallows represents the
desire to bring back the dead.
It represent the danger of that desire when
pushed to the point of actually trying to
resurrect the dead.
This danger is father symbolized by the fact
that it is cracked. That it is cursed, and that
it appeared on the ring of the wicked
marvolo Gaunt.
75. The Elder wand
The first of the three Hallows. Is a
wand that ensures that it’s master will
win any duel.no one can truly posses it
without defeating it’s former owner.
Thus the wand symbolizes both the
thirst for unbridled power and the
folly of believing that power and
violence can keep you safe. The wand
has brought death to those who owned
it.
76. The locket Horcruxes.
The locket Horcrux that Harry and his friends
recover from the unbridged is, like all of the
Horcruxes cursed. It tries to kill Harry by
strangling him when he’s underwater, it burns
itself into his flesh when he’s fighting Nagini,
and it keeps him from summoning his
patronus by exerting it seems to symbolize
whatever is within each of the characters that
they have to overcome within themselves.
77. The Spread of Deathly Hallows Symbol.
 Since the deathly hallows symbol
represents the three Deathly hallows
united, this symbol can represent the
master of death.
The symbol has been only seen a few
times in the movie, but it is inscribed
and mentioned several times in the
book.

When I read this Harry Potter book and also I saw the movie, I learned a
lot that I like the character of Harry Potter very much in this novel because
Harry Potter is a symbol of a struggle. I would like to say two sentences
about this character.“ The struggle you’re in today is developing in
strength you need for tomorrow.”
“ Working hard is important but there is something that
matters even more; believing in yourself. “If there’s one thing I really like
about the whole novel, it’s the friendship between Harry Potter and Ron and
Hermione
“ Anything is possible when you have the right people to support you. “
“ઝાઝા હાથ રળીયામણાાં.” I also study another character like Voldemort. I have
say one proverb in Guajarati language “વાવો તેવાં લણો. “

After the reading book and watch the movie.
I have learn something new from book and from some of the
characters .
I’m learning something new and which became useful in our
life.
 Stand up for yourself,
 Value wisdom and patience,
Think about someone else first ,to fight for other and their
rights.
To do whatever you love and what you believe in despite
what everyone else said.
Ego and hate won’t get .. Anything in our life.
80. There are some points I found
 # Friendship is important.
 # Face your fears.
 # Never give up.
 # True friendship can survive anything.
 # Your are strong and can do things on your own.
 # Death isn’t something to be feared .
 # Never be afraid to stand up for what you believe in.
 # Love is the most powerful force of all.
 # Love never dies, even when people do.

Harry Potter it not just a book or movie series it’s grow up with
us. The end of this book and movie series ever finished with
school of graduation. In this movie series we feel like we grew
up with the Harry Potter. As we watch movie series and read
book we find that Harry Potter wasn’t exactly the “chosen one”
when it came to being a model student. In this series we see that
we can’t change our past but we can change our future with
confidence and hard work. Our past shapes us as people but it
doesn’t have to shape the course of our lives. Harry who lost his
parents as a baby and as a result had to live with his Aunt ,
Uncle and his cousin afterward. So in this thing we learn that
without parents child treat like Harry.

The second thing is I learn from this book is friends will get
you out to trouble, but best friends will get in trouble with
you. Ron and Hermione faced many trouble with Harry and
he always be with Harry. The next is always people are not
right because they just talk what other people told. Often
this times we inadvertently judge others based on their
appearance, but some times our assessments are not
accurate. A great example of this in the Harry Potter is the
character of Sirius Black. Who is not murder of his parents
and than he is caring, cool god father trying to avenge
Harry’s parents.

And the same example is Severus Snape. Harry think that
he is with Tom Riddle (Voldemort) but at last he knows
that he is trying to same Harry from Voldemort. In Harry
Potter’s life, this seemed to be especially relevant. From
Snape to Sirius, to even Dobby, Harry was proven wrong
time and time again by his initial judgments. Then again,
when you’ve got an entire band of evil misfits against you,
it’s safe to say you’d be a little weary of people too. In this
we learn that always we are not right and our thoughts
also. In this many reasons behind that things.
84. Learning Outcome Amit.
Some of Harry Potter’s ways using some of the most famous
foundations of the magical world shaped my life forever as a lifelong
fan of this magical universe.
If only subconsciously, Harry’s ability to fight, learn, and stay away
from me taught me the value of the power of love and friendship
overcoming any kind of darkness. His journey taught me to look
beyond my comfort zone, reach out to others and accept my feelings to
move the world forward. This way, I learned how to cast my own ex
pet petroleum charm whenever I needed to.
The Harry Potter series has led me from childhood to adulthood and
it’s a functionally progressive way so I felt like I grew up with all the
characters too. Does Harry Potter have many themes that help
friendships or relationships? Or I believe that Harry Potter is not just
a story for children, but a story of hope, moral messages, and
principles of life that helps me a lot.
85. Learning outcome Hitixa
As the series moves forward, the films become progressively darker
both figuratively and literally but Harry learns to fight against
every new obstacle that enters his path, no matter how difficult it is
for this overworked teen. If only subconsciously, Harry’s ability to
fight, learn, and overcome taught me to value the power of love and
friendship when overcoming any kind of darkness. His journey
taught me to look beyond my comfort zone, reach out to others, and
embrace my emotions to take on the world. When I first came to
Department I was so nervous and thought that I can’t make it, I still
remember the day when my friend scolded me because I was so
hopeless and lacking self confidence but day by day I tried very hard
to achieve my goals. In that way, I kind of learned how to cast my
own Expecto Patronum charm whenever I need to, and I have to say
it’s been very useful.
86. Learning outcome Sanjay
When I read this Harry potter With each book Harry
seems to grow all the more brave. The emotional
turmoil he experienced was evident and towards the
end it was clear that he was completely worn out and
perhaps even slightly depressed, which would be
completely understandable.
I think Harry finally realises how powerful Voldemort
and I suppose he feels responsible to stop him, because
he was able to before.
87. The entire Weasley family were just as wonderful as
ever! Dumbledore was just as wise and kind and Sirius
was fantastic.
In the first three books, we were never shown just how
powerful Voldemort is and in this book his power and
destruction he is able to cause hit me like a ton of
bricks. Like I said, I felt terrified for the characters
when there was evidence that he was gaining power.
I felt horrified when the things he had done in the past
were revealed and I finally understand why people are
so terrified of him.
88. The story (which started in Sorcerer’s Stone) may just
look like the usual battle of good versus evil but set in
the world of wizardry but for me there is a lot more in
store in Deathly Hollows Part 2.
It actually talks about how one can go selfless for his
loved one, family and friends Many of them made the
sacrifices – Harry Potter, James and Lily Potter,
Professor Dumbledore, Severus Snape and the teachers
and students of the Hogwarts Schools of Witchcraft
and Wizardry.
I won’t get into details but what can I say is that this is
one rare chance to see a fantasy movie where substance
and life’s lessons are perfectly weaved in.
