Akhil Mehta is a front-facing Business Analyst at BMGI India, with experience in handling RAKMC sales, online marketing,
IT, executing consulting assignments, project management, and Sr. Manager Training & Consultant Development, He has
built a Knowledge Management System from scratch and has done part of training standardization for his company. He was
named “Best Recruit of the year” among 9 new recruits, from IITB, IIMB, & IIML, and given a 62% salary increment in his first
year at the job. Akhil is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and a Certified Lean Practitioner. To know more, please visit

Akhil did his B.E. (hons.) Electronics & Instrumentation with an Integrated M.Sc. (hons.) in Economics. He has done a
thesis under Prof. Mridula Goel on the topic – Creating a development guide for Research & Analytics with sample
case studies. He was the Cultural Convenor, and subsequently President at Council for Student Affairs, and
continuously tried for better business-related electives. He created the BITS Goa ReferralNet on facebook for
increasing the quality & quantity of jobs for BITS Students & Alumni, which has created about 300 jobs for them. He
currently serves as Manager – Human Resources at BITSAA International, and is active at the Mumbai Chapter.
Akhil has resigned from his job to Co-found a startup in the SaaS space, and is available in Semester 1 of Academic
Year 2012-13 to create and teach this course. He will be released from duty on 22nd July 2011. He is very excited
about coming back to Goa to his alma mater and giving back.
