4. Powers of the UN
● Membership of the UN is voluntary (but
pretty much everyone is in it)
● The UN does not ENFORCE rules
● Instead it creates resolutions that
ENCOURAGE nations to act in a certain way
● If a member country does not abide by a
resolution, not much can be done about it
