The Black Religious Community, Gospel ( Christian ) Rap
To an entire segment of the Black religious community, Gospel (Christian) Rap has found its way
to the footsteps of the church. The rapid emergence of this music and its subculture has left the
church and clergy alike asking the question why? Especially since much of what I would call
secular Rap is off the hook these days. How so, do you ask? There is a surplus of gratuitous
violence, and sexually explicit Rap lyrics, that currently ride the airwaves and is uploaded into
countless IPODs, MP3s, and Myspace.com websites. And what should we say about the
continual overexposure and repetitious degradation of young Black women, half naked in
booty shorts; subliminally suggesting to many that to treat all women like bitches and hoe s is
ok. It also seems to promote a certain image of street machismo or hembra which suggests that
adopting a pimp or criminal type lifestyle with a gold jeweled cup filled to the rim with Remy
Marty VSOP or Gin and juice is the ultimate form of fun, and that true happiness is wrapped
inside a Maybach Mercedes Benz with 24 inch rims and a house worthy of a write up on MTV
Cribs. Finally, this dream life would be nothing without mentioning the bank account that can only
be accessed while visiting the Cayman Islands. Hip hop is now a culture much like the Beatnik or
Hippie of yesteryear and now to include churches. Like those references, many think that this too
is a passing fad. So why is Hip hop s influence able to both

History of the Development of Computers Essay
DEVELOPMENT OF COMPUTERS
As we are stepping towards the era of 2020, man have consistently been innovative and creative in
developing and improving technology for various sectors to make the world a better place for us to
live in. If we look closely today, the development of IT and Computer sector and its application have
greatly influenced various other sectors like telecommunication, transport, agriculture, labour,
finance, etc to be more efficient and effective at their work.
Computers have created a drastic impact in our lives. In fact we are so dependent on computers that
life without computers will certainly be incomplete. In current times most of us own computer

It was designed to be used to perform basic arithmetic operations. Every computer supports some
form of input, processing as well as output. In a modern computer, these processing is done
electronically hence enabling a vastly greater number of calculation to be performed in lesser time.
Binary codes which are representations of numerical numbers were used to process images, sounds,
text and graphic. In digital computers, there are ones and zeros that represents the electrical on and
off states and endless combinations of those to process any input.
Moving on, the development of computer can be assessed from two perspectives. One
perspective would be the invention of hardware components over time like vacuum tubes,
transistors, integrated circuits and microprocessors that can be referred to as a generation of
change. In the other hand, another perspective would be how user friendly were the computers
over a period of time. In the 1950s the computers were almost impossible to use except by very
patient geniuses. Next in the 1960s and 1970s, it could only be programmable by highly trained
people. Lastly, from the 1980s till present time the computers are now smaller cheaper and useable
by just about anyone.
From the hardware development perspective, the first generation of computer was the Electronic
Numerical Integrator And Computer (ENIAC). These first electronic computers used vacuum tubes.

Consumer Behavior (Argentina) Essay
Argentina
Argentina is the 2nd largest South American and Latin American region. With a population of just
over 40 million people, the Spanish speaking country has multiple aspects of consumer behavior
that influence the way that people spend.
Marketing in Argentina is communicated in ways very similar to the United States. Radio and
television are large factors in how marketers reach consumers in Argentina. There are 170 AM radio
stations and 2000 FM radio stations in Argentina with about twelve million radio sets in use and 46
television broadcasting stations with some eight million TV sets in use. Although the marketing
tactics are similar they are not as widespread as they are in the US. To put it into perspective there

With a 37.2% GDP increase the economy found itself expanding, consolidating, and becoming
more multinational. Consumers were well off and becoming wealthier as the GDP rose from
1991 to 1998. They experienced a great deal of product differentiation ranging from new types of
products, to better quality of products, and more expensive products. However, in 1998 this all
had to change because of a 7% decrease in GDP over the next year. During this time consumers
had to learn how to focus their spending on sub brands and discounted offers to save money.
Marketers and businesses had to adjust also by switching their focus from product differentiation
to cost cutting strategies. Between 1998 and 2000 there was an increase of 36% percent in the
number of retail stores in the country but a fall of 23% in sales. This statistic shows how tough of
a time that both consumers and businesses had to adjust to in order to try to slow down the
economic regression.
There are many different cohorts or marketing that could be used to look at the spending during the
economic recession. Things such as age and income are two main cohorts that are often times
looked at my marketers to determine the best way to supply products. Location is another large
influence of the way that sales are determined. Certain geographical areas of Argentina were
experiencing more growth than others following the recession of the late 1990 s. Argentina is

Paul comes with a thought of purchasing two franchises instead of one because he realizes there
are 13 of the franchisees have multiple stores. The reason behind having multiple stores is
because Mr. Paul thinks the start up costs and operating expenses would be no higher than for a
single store operation. Mr. Paul has two friends in mind that he would think would be a great
partner to operate the franchise. Two of his friends will purchase a minority equity position of the
franchise and it would be a great help for Mr. Paul because he would have additional capital.
City A, B or Both There are two existing locations that are available for Mr. Paul. One of the
stores is located in City A and the other one is located in City B. Both cities have different
advantages and disadvantages. Store that is located in City A is currently in franchise operation
but the owner is planning to sell the franchise on the market due to family problems. Size of the
store is inexpertly smaller than he has imagined. However, many people describe the location as
the only good retail location in the city. On the other hand, the store in City B is located in one
of the newest malls in an area surrounded by upscale housing and extensive development. In term
of size, store in City B is much bigger compare to the store in City A. Mr. Paul is certain that both
of these stores would be well above his expectation for start up operations. He also owns a house in

Women in The Duchess of Malfi and The Changeling Essay
The Duchess in John Webster s tragic play, The Duchess of Malfi, and Beatrice Joanna in
Thomas Middleton and William Rowley s The Changeling, are both strong women living in a
male dominated society. The two women attempt to free themselves from this subordination by
choosing to love that they desire. Both pay with their lives for this chance at freedom, but differ
in their moral decisions about how they attempt it. Beatrice Joanna s plan involves murder,
whereas the widowed Duchess merely lives the life she chooses, then plots to leave Malfi. Both
women are forced into their actions, but, whereas Beatrice Joanna is Machiavellian in her actions,
the Duchess is morally superior. Webster based his play on a real life 16th... Show more content on

It is her brothers, Ferdinand and the Cardinal, who are murderous and immoral in their plot to
save the family reputation and inheritance. It is they who are consumed with aristocratic pride. It
is their sibling jealousy and male pride that causes them to kill the Duchess. From the onset of the
play the Duchess is described as noble and virtuous. Antonio says: Her days are practiced in such
noble virtue That sure her nights nay, more, her very sleeps Are more in heaven than other ladies
schrifts (1.1.201). She is sexually confident and outgoing, and views marriage as a positive, loving
venture. On the contrary, her brothers see marriage as a prison for women and a playhouse for
men. The Cardinal believes The marriage night/Is entrance into some prison (1.1.326), and
Ferdinand views it as the males time for sex when he says And those joys,/Those lustful
pleasures, are like heavy sleeps/Which do forerun man s mischief (1.1. 328). The Duchess
defies society s view of marriage. She marries the second time for love, but only after she has had
an active sex life, and three children. Furthermore, it is she who proposes to Antonio, and it is she
who puts a ring on his finger. When he kneels before her, she helps him up. Here marriage is not a
contract where husband is superior to wife, but rather

The Impact Of Internet On The Field Of Traffic Management
Abstraction
Internet of things is the interconnection of embedded computing elements which can be uniquely
identified and can be accessed from anywhere on this earth, anytime. The interconnection of these
embedded devises is expected to bloom automation in almost all the fields. The future of internet
aims at connecting all the physical things from bicycles to cars to planes, all of these things taking
active participation in the exchange of information about themselves and about their surroundings.
Internet of things will give us access to all the information about a particular thing leading to
different innovative services and increase the efficiency and productivity of the people and
products. This paper studies the Internet of Things, the architecture of Internet of Things, the
elements in Internet of Things and the related technologies, the applications, the current scenario
and the future scope. Also, in details regarding the application of Internet of Things in the field of
traffic management is reviewed in detail.
Introduction:
Today, we have cloud the digital universe of information freely available to us. The current
estimate of the amount of information is 4000 Exabyte in size . A good analogy is 4000 Exabyte
is roughly equivalent to a stack of books from the earth to Pluto and back, 80 times. We only
began to create that less than 20 years ago. Devices like cell phones, iPads allow us to access this
information from anywhere on this earth, anytime.

Flight Of The Amazon Queen takes place in the 1940 s and is the story about Joe King, pilot for

land his plane in the middle of the Amazon. This triggers a massive adventure filled with
phantom primates, 6ft tall pygmies, Amazon woman, dinosaurs and a whole lot more
weirdness. As you can see in the tradition of the best B movies this game doesn t take itself too
seriously. After playing this game for a while it becomes very clear that classic Lucasarts titles
like Monkey Island and Indiana Jones had a big influence on it. Even the interface is reminiscent
of early SCUMM engine games with your selection of actions and inventory along the bottom of

Hatchet Character Analysis Essay
Hatchet Reading analysis At the start of the book Brian is a typical city boy who takes most
things in life for granted. After all the trauma he is forced to go through he sees everything
differently. I think that by the end of the book Brian has changed for the better and becomes a
more appreciative person. The reason that Brian changes is because of his plane crashing which
results in him getting stranded in the Canadian forest. The first mental change that Brian
undergoes is after his pilot dies and he has to land the plane. He manages to escape crashing in a
lake, alive and without serious injuries. This made Brian thankful just to be alive even though he
was hurt and in the middle of nowhere. A quote from Brian after the crash, I m alive. It could have
been different. There could have been death. I could have been done. Page 38. Brian learns more

In the forest Brian learned that finding food in the wild is not as easy as finding food in the city.
At home, he would have just gone to the fridge or taken his bike to the store, but now he had to
work for it. Brian appreciates food now because he knows how much work it takes to get it.
Through the process of finding food Brian learned how to be patient and how to observe. He
also learned never to waste anything. When he caught a grouse instead of throwing the scraps
away, he used the feathers to make fletchings for his arrows and the extra meat he used as fish
bait. A quote from the author after Brian was rescued, Food, all food, even food he did not like,
never lost its wonder for him. Page

Botox Research Paper
Today s society is focused on looking flawless, and achieving that perfect look. This is driven by
the idea that everyone should look like supermodels and actors on television. Many people go to
different extremes to become what they perceive as perfect . That is when Botox was
introduced to help achieve these desired looks, which are in popular demand. Botox is a
minimally invasive and less expensive cosmetic procedure. Botox injections have been used for
frown lines between the eyes and smoothing of facial wrinkles. It is also used for those stubborn
wrinkles around the corner of the eyes, also known as crows feet . There were nearly 2.5 million

German scientist, Dr. Kerner determined that there was a toxin in spoiled sausages that were
making people ill, but what does this have to do with Botox? Well 7 more strains were
discovered 70 years later by another doctor, also investigating food poisoning, expanding on Dr.
Kerner s discovery, and found seven strains of botulinum toxin, four of which were harmful to
humans. They considered using the four bad stains of botulinum toxin as a weapon of war. They
would inject the toxin into pills and poison high ranking officials on the opposite side. Luckily
this project was abandoned, which gave researchers the chance to see the good in Botox. Science
researchers discovered that injecting small amounts of Botulinum toxin type A, which is one of
the three less toxic strains, into hyperactive muscles relaxed them. In the 1960 s they began to
experiment with its helpful side effects, botulinum toxin type A became the go to toxin in all
research labs. The FDA approved botulinum toxin type A for use on humans in the 1980 s, for
everything from treating facial spasms to vocal spasms. Botox became so popular that there was
actually a Botox drought in 1997! Botox not only has medical benefits, but is also is a safe and
effective cosmetic treatment. In fact, Botox is the number one non surgical cosmetic treatment in the

Why Is Lady Macbeth The Real Villain
In Shakespeare s tragedy, Macbeth the notion of who the real villain is explored. Throughout the
play, Shakespeare ventilates a myriad of factors, which lends the audience to believe Lady
Macbeth is the real villain, but in fact she is not to blame for the catalyst of Macbeth s downfall.
The play centres on the notion of the real villain, and what really harbingers the death of Macbethis
explored, and whether the real villain and main cause of Macbeth s death was his manipulative
wife, the supernatural witches or something from within the mind of the play s main protagonist. In

Macbeths cruel and heartless natures goes as far as to organise the murder of one of his closest
comrade and his son for the sole purpose that he feared that they were a threat to his kingship.
Through this act of duplicity, we are shown a clear sign that his villainous side is now in control
of him, even though what brought it forward was something external to his own mind.
Additionally, in the final moments before Macbeth s decision to go through with the plan of
killing Duncan, it had all but come down to his choice, with no ascendency from external
sources. In Act 2, Scene 1, the dagger [he] sees before [him] might have been the final push he
needed to commit his act of regicide and it is most likely that this vision of a dagger was created
by his own imagination, demonstrating that part of his own mind, perhaps a villainous part of
his sub conscious, was what created the illusion of the dagger. This makes it clear that deep
down a part of him had the ambition to kill Duncan, and the use of a soliloquy enables the
audience to hear his confused and conflicting thoughts as he is persuaded by his own mind to kill
the king. These acts of evil are a result of the contributions to Macbeth s villainy by sources such

G. B. Shaw s Pygmalion
Like all of Shaw s great dramatic creations, Pygmalion is a richly complex play. It combines a
central story of the transformation of a young woman with elements of myth, fairy tale, and
romance, while also combining an interesting plot with an exploration of social identity, the power
of science, relations between men and women, and other issues.
Pygmalion is one of Shaw s most popular plays as well as one of his most straightforward ones.
The form has none of the complexity that we find in Heartbreak House or Saint Joan, nor are the
ideas in Pygmalion nearly as profound as the ideas in any of Shaw s other major works. It can be

Analysis of Cancer
Cancer The Enemy Within
Abstract: Cancer has been known and feared since antiquity, but its imperative danger could only
be realized until fairly recently. Indeed as knowledge of the disease grew in the nineteenth and
twentieth centuries, fear increased when people became more aware that most cancers had no
available cure. Cancer is a disease in which abnormal cells reproduce without control, destroy
healthy tissue, and eventually cause deterioration to the body. This paper is a discussion on how
cancer develops and spreads, some of the various types of cancer, and the causes of the disease.

Sarcomas are cancers that begin in connective tissue. These tissues form the body s supporting
structures, such as bone and cartilage. The great majority of cancer cases are carcinomas. They
include most cancers of the skin and the breast as well as of digestive, reproductive, respiratory,
and urinary systems. Sarcomas also occur in all of these organs and systems but are far less
common.
Scientists do not know exactly why cancer develops, but they have found that certain agents play
an active role in causing the disease. Most experts agree that people develop cancer mainly through
repeated or prolonged contact with one or more cancer causing agents, called carcinogens.
Carcinogens attack normal cells and may eventually cause one of them to become cancerous. Some
carcinogens are introduced into the body through the nose, mouth, or some other opening. Other
carcinogens attack the body through the skin. Many cancers are caused by a combination of 2 or
more carcinogens rather than by a single one.
Laboratory tests and population studies indicate that two main groups of carcinogens can cause
cancer in human beings. This groups consist of various chemicals, and certain forms of radiation.
Some examples of chemical carcinogens include the tars in tobacco smoke, certain industrial
chemicals, certain unnatural food chemicals and also various chemicals used in drugs. Radiation,
on the other hand, produces cancer in people who are exposed

Usefulness In John Steinbeck s Of Mice And Men
Often times, many literary devices show or display hidden meanings or foreshadow many,
things that will either affect the main character negatively or positively. These meanings can
often make the reader understand hidden secrets and shows them that they can never know or
have learned before. The author is able to show or interweave his or her ideals. People like John
Steinbeck in his Mice and Men are able to slowly weave a secret message into a story.
Sometimes through the death of a character and the feelings of a character, one is able to
understand how in this story, mercy versus usefulness come to a conflict over the death of a
character, specifically Lennie Small. The impact of mercy on a story often shows how one is able
to forgive anyone who has given them so much pain and hurt. John Steinbeck shows how that...

Comparison Of Ivan Pavlov And John Watson
In 1903 a Russian physiologist by the name of Ivan Pavlov first developed an experiential model of
learning called Classical Conditioning (Lautenheiser 1999). An example if Classical Conditioning
would be ringing a bell when it is time for your pet to eat. The pet hears the bell and over time is
conditioned that when the bell rings its dinner time thus begins to salivate, and eventually learns to
be conditioned to responding to the bell in a specific manner. The bases was that neutral stimulus
would be put together with an excitatory one and over time the neutral stimulus would, at some
point down the line elicit the response that was associated with the original unlearned response.
Pavlov later added an element known as the nonexcitatory, conditioned stimulus which is but
together with an unconditioned stimulus (Lautenheiser 1999). Classic Conditioning can also be
known as stimulus response, conditioned response, respondent condition as these are the behaviors
that take place during the Classical Conditioning. There are two basic forms of associative
conditioning, classical and operant. Both Ivan Pavlovand John Watson were the first contributors to
these behaviorist theories. Ivan Pavlov s theory came about by working a dog and John Watson
worked his classical conditioning with humans. John B. Watson thought that psychology should be
known as the science of observable behavior because according to his writings purely objective

The Second Language By Vivian Cook
Summary
Acquisition of an L2 (second language), has always been an important issue in the field of
linguistics, and its relationship with an L1 (First language) is what concerns Vivian Cook in the
chapter called The relationship between first and second language learning revisited .
In the chapter the author argues that the relationship between both L1 and L2, defines the second
language. That is why SLA (Second Language Acquisition) research has taken ideas and research
techniques from L1 research such as the independent grammar assumption, which claims that the
child s language, constitutes an independent system of its own, and is not a poor version of the
adult s one. And techniques, being the most obviously borrowed those ... Show more content on

These arguments are the ones that made me meditate the most, because they are there in front of
everyone, yet, I was never able to see them. For instance, when Cook claims that The L2 learner
already has at least one other language in his mind; the initial language state of his mind is in
principle different from the L1 child, because of the first language... This first language has
already taken a place in the mind of the learner, so it is harder for the L2 to get without any

JIM CORW LAWS Essay
In 1865, four million Americans who were called slaves simply because they were born black,
were now free with an expectation that they would enjoy all civil liberties. The post Civil War
period of Reconstruction provided freedmen with various rights, but in little over a decade, the
promise of emancipation and equal rights was gone, replaced by rigid system of laws designed to
keep blacks from experiencing any of their newly achieved rights, which is known as the era of
Jim Crow, the American form of racial Apartheid that separated Americans into two groups: whites,
the so called superiors and blacks, the inferiors. The phase that began in 1877 was inaugurated by
withdrawal of Union troops from the south that would leave the future of... Show more content on

Negroes were allowed to travel in common streetcars, trains and carriers with other whites. This
system would take thirty to forty years to take the form racism. Besides, Jim Crow was not just a
system of discrimination based on race; it was a legal system, backed up by United States
Supreme Court in cases such as Plessy v. Ferguson and sustained by thousands of local states
and ordinances. In 1883, in the Civil Rights Cases, the Supreme Court invalidated the Civil
Right Acts of 1875, which had outlawed racial discrimination by hotels, theaters, railroads, and
other pubic facilities. In Plessy v. Ferguson, 1896, Supreme Court gave its approval to state laws
requiring separate facilities for blacks and whites, reasoning that segregated facilities did not
discriminate so long as they were separate but equal. John Marshal Harlan, a Kentucky lawyer,
objected the Supreme Court s decision in Plessy v. Ferguson case. He believed that the decision
was unconstitutional as it interfered with the Personal Liberty of the people; and believed racial
segregation as a badge of slavery. He regretted that Supreme Court that was supposed to guarantee
this right is actually denying people of the right. The roots of Jim Crow can

“the Case for Contamination” by Kwame Anthony Appiah
Essay
Article: The Case for Contamination by Kwame Anthony Appiah In The Case for Contamination
the author Kwame Appiah analyzes and points out the many ways in which the world is becoming
globalized. He uses many extensive examples to show that the world is getting contaminated . By
contamination he means that the mixture of all the innovative values and traditions are damaging
and eventually destroying what our ancestors have left us. In his analysis, he describes the gradual
transformation of many cultures and different religions to support his points but in his personal
opinion he is very open minded and is not greatly influenced by his religion. His tone is

Thus, people who are attempting to preserve cultures by denying this right to new opportunities are
trapping people in ideals they rather change. Once a culture accepts the innovations that come along
with globalization it depends on each community to either completely transform their way of living
or keep their traditions. As Appiah notes, how people respond to these cultural imports depends on
their existing cultural context (Appiah 3) meaning that people interpret the innovations according
to their former beliefs and cultures since things might change but their mentality does not.
However, in my opinion globalization has more advantages than disadvantages and it is up to each
individual to apply those advantages for the best while still following their old traditions. For
example, families that are secure and rich usually have the power to control their children in
guiding and supporting them throughout their teenage lives. Hence, the younger generations are
more open to following their family traditions. However, the families that have issues to support
their families by using food stamps or working 3 different jobs usually have less influence and
control over their children. Therefore, these children begin to question their families core values
and traditions and begin to adapt their own new way of life. Nevertheless, religion is something

1980s, at the height of the cold war coupled with the ever growing nuclear threat, the U.S. need to
insure the defense of ground forces and critical assets from aerial threats became ever so real.
Budgetary constraints placed a heavy burden on military planners as they fought congressional
committees for a solution to provide a mobile air defense platform. Dilapidated equipment and talks
of a Russian armored invasion of the U.S. mainland, created the inception of the Bradley Fighting

Nevertheless, during the early stages of the Iraq and Afghanistan war, the Linebacker saw use
as a multirole vehicle, providing security to Infantry units and over watch for Forward Operating

in 2005, while on route patrol, the Linebacker was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED).
The IED exploded and tore off the first three road wheels and all of the armor on the left side of

Without support from executive management, social networks may never gain a proper foothold
throughout the organization. Management must set the pace for line staff to follow and adopt.
Therefore, if it s not important to senior management, it most likely won t be important to the
workforce as a whole. According to the case and additional research, most companies are not
providing the incentive that staff requires to be motivated to use these tools. The article states
that only 22 percent of social software users believe the technology to be necessary to their jobs.
Hence training on these new tools and the role they play within an organization is a critical factor
that can lead to failure or success. It is therefore crucial that management in cooperates training and
effectively communicates the importance of these tools to the general workforce. Management
should not assume that because employees are used to participating on social networks like
Facebook that they will adopt to internal social networks as easily. If employees are used to
collaborating and doing business effectively in more traditional ways like sending emails, then they
will need an incentive to use social software. Organization Organization needs to understand the
value of Social Networking for both internal and external business. Once this is done, the efforts to

Faith is the belief in a person, thing, or idea without concrete evidence of its certainty. Although
in some arenas, such as science, it is looked down upon, faith is ever presence in people s lives. It
takes faith to belief that a chair will support one s weight. It takes faith to belief that others will
fulfill their promises and responsibilities. John Donne, Robert Fink, and Annie Dillard are three
authors who use faithas a topic for one of their works. The use of rhetorical devices, such as tone

The diction and metaphors used in John Donne s Meditation 17 and Robert Fink s How I Found

sounded for church services, marriages, and funerals. They are events that all should be aware off.
Donne also uses the relationship between bells and emotions to contribute to the tone. Church bells

everyone. Everyone can assume that the bell tolls signifies

The current paper examined the effects of working memory on decision making in cocaine addicts
and healthy controls. As expected, we found that cocaine addicts exhibited decreased decision

demonstrated to decrease decision making performance among participants. However, the
combined effects of working memory and addictionon decision making resulted in an interaction.
These findings support results from prior studies (Bechara Martin, 2004; Corbin, McElroy, Black,

Jerks Is An Original Dark Comedy
HYPNIC JERKS is an original dark comedy/horror script that features a very likable protagonist
with a very intriguing sleep disorder. The idea of hypnic jerks is very refreshing as a flaw and it
s a disorder not often talked about. It s nice to see it in the script. The tone combines dark comedy
with horror elements. The script explores themes about life choices and destiny. The script offers a
couple of nice twists.
The highlight is the main character of Ray. He s a charming, yet troubled man, but one can t help
but like him and his dog, Bonham. Equally likable and intriguing is Ambrosia.
As much as one enjoys the characters, the script would benefit from more development in the areas
of structure and plot.
The main concern about the presentation is the lack of a well identifiable goal for Ray. The
plotline isn t entirely clear. Ray transforms himself into a vampire, which appears to be motivated
by the idea of the Vampire Festival, but that doesn t feel like a strong enough motivation.
In addition, the link between Ray transforming into a vampire and his sleep disorder isn t
entirely well connected. He s trying to write, but this too, unfortunately never feels like Ray s
true, actionable goal. Now, if Ray were trying to write about vampires and felt he needed to live

behavior to his objective.

Bad Things Happen You Good People And Bad People Alike
Bad things happen to good people and bad people alike. There is no such thing as God or Satan.
The existence of evil proves that there can be no God. The things that occur in our universe are
chance and can be explained by science. Enter humans and you have free will and free thinking
which can lead to actions and consequences. Free will gives way to moral consequences.
Bad things happen to people because it is part of a greater cosmic roll of the dice. We have evolved
and become higher functioning, deeper thinking, and longer living human beings. As the world
societies grew so did destruction of our planet and the resources we have learned to wield from it.
Humans are products of their environment and upbringing which influences the morality of a
person, and their capacity to be evil. Once it is understood that most suffering, although not all, is
the result of the poor choices of human beings (ourselves and others), the result of our failure to
actualize the appropriate values possible at every moment, we may be more inclined to seek to
reduce significantly these poor choices. This optimistic view, I submit, need not be realized to
render the aesthetic theodicy viable. I am not under any idealistic delusion that the human species
will learn to act more ethically and responsibly, although I retain the hope that this might occur
eventually. (Whitney, pg. 26)

then it should be the patients right to take these actions to survive. In today s society the
legalization of medicinal use of marijuana is becoming more common amongst the states. There
are 24 states that recognize and accept patient registry or ID cards for medicinal use. Out of

arguments held for legalizing marijuana was that by taxing the drug it would bring in budgets for
things such as money needed for schools, also much needed money in the health care field. It also
would give the opportunity to free up police resources. One valid point was that

It was once stated on the essay Too Many Colleges Are Still in Denial About Alcohol Abuse that
colleges have a serious problem with alcohol abuse among students, and it s not getting any

I believe that alcohol consumption is one of the biggest problems we as a society are facing now

it by letting people believe is a natural thing for teenagers to do. The bigger problem is actually

Nationalism And National Identity
Nationalism is a source of modernization and political legitimacy, especially in Latin American
countries such as Nicaragua, Argentina, and Mexico. An inclusive national identity can serve as a
means for the development of belonging, and this globally acclaimed notion of diversity is
attractive for nations struggling to find their footing in the international community. Looking
towards the future, the key to achieving this inclusion is the use of culture, specifically employing
music as a tool of integration. However, the decisive variable here is adolescents. Though these
popular music forms may be the music of the people, they are ultimately dictated by the youth. In
modern times, music is integral for youth as they delve into discourses of identity and equality, so
focusing in on marginalized youth gives the government an opportunity to explore attitudes and
national inclusion among individuals who are in a critical period of development. Even though
teens are influenced by their parents beliefs during childhood before advancing their own views,
youth are ultimately the starting point for incorporating ostracized groups into nationalist
discourses because they are the developers and executors of music movements. Furthermore, the
attitudes of young people regarding inclusion and exclusion provide an indication for the
sustainability of such diverse national identities in the future.
In Nicaragua, discourses of identity became prominent following the success of the

All of these movements That I research Left Behind A legacy. Everybody has a legacy, what is
yours? The Temperance Movement s legacy is that people will have to watch how much and

Loaded Firearms
Do You Carry At Home or Just When You Go Out
For those that have carried for any length of time will feel uncomfortable without a holstered
firearm on their hip. You feel anxious, without it there on the hip. The comforting weight is gone,
and until the situation is rectified you feel exposed, naked even.
You pat your pants pocket for keys, change, and check for your phone. You feel to make sure
your wallet is in place and you always put your hand to your hip to make sure your sidearm is
secure. The purse gets inspected for keys, phone, wallet, and other daily necessities and you
always make sure your sidearm is nestled inside. It is in place even when around the home, and it
may come out of the purse so it can be clipped to your waist when ... Show more content on

You literally need a fitting before bringing it home, so try to purchase your holster when you buy
your handgun so you match the two up.
We were not going to get into the debate about open carrying out in public but a news article caught
our eye here.
Gun Toting Subway Customer Gets Into Open Carry Dispute with Police
In Connecticut, people can open carry so long as they have a permit and are carrying the permit
with them in public. You cannot be arrested for simply carrying openly, and here is where the law
gets murky. On one hand the law also states police officers can ask to see your permit and refusal
to produce the permit can lead to an arrest because you interfered with police.
On the other hand, the law states that police need a reasonable suspicion that a crime has been
committed by the one carrying the weapon. This allows police to at any time reasonably assume a
crime has been committed or will be committed by someone open carrying. Essentially, in
Connecticut police can ask you for your papers at any time.
Businesses are allowed to refuse service to anyone open carrying in

The Court Of The Trial
Chapter One
The judge looked over the jury, then back at the defendant, a young man of about 20 years of
age, and then at the prosecutor, a woman with spiky brown hair and black glasses. The trial had
started two hours ago, with a recess one hour after it started. The recess lasted 10 minutes, and then
started back up after people could gather their pieces of evidence. There had been so much
evidence defending the young man, but in the end, the prosecution had enough to prove their point.
The judge declared the young man guilty, and he was taken away. He screamed and struggled, but
the guards removed him from the courtroom and delivered him to the prison.
Only two weeks ago, a young woman was murdered at her apartment. The woman s name was ...

Hi, is there something I can help you with? The man asked, quite obviously scared out of his mind.
Yes, in fact, there is something you can help us with. The woman said. The woman pulled out a
notebook with samples of hair, fingerprints, and multiple other pieces of evidence. Sir, you ve
been suspected to be the murderer of Christine O Donovan. I m afraid you re going to have to
come with us.
The man whispered something, looking upset. He walked out of his apartment, standing next to
the police before all but one of the cops filed into different police cars and drove away. The man
stood there with the woman and the last cop, looking terrified.
The man occasionally glanced over at the police officer, freaked out, before attempting to start a
conversation. So, I m supposed to be leaving the very place I live, and I don t even know your name.
The woman adjusted her glasses, tapping something on the side and staring, before answering him.
They call me Agent Waters. She said, annoyed that she was wasting her time coming here. Small
puffs of smoke were coming from the tips of her hair.
The man stood there, confused about how her hair seemed to be igniting in flames. A Are you ok?
Your hair is kind of... burning.
Yes, I m fine. Waters

Russia And The Russian Government
Few countries have as colourful and an impressive history than Russia. There were off and on
struggles between the East and West and sometimes Russia would defend the two. Russia has
brought immigrants from different backgrounds together into a single culture and state to inspire
immense ethnic diversity that refuses to disappear. The outcome has been a fusion of social
democracy and private enterprise, of east and west, Christians and Muslims, with a speck of social
experimentation thrown into the mix. Russiahas a long and rich cultural history, immersed in
literature, dance, art and classical music. Foreigners may see the country as unexciting or
uninteresting. However, Russia has a visible cultural past, from its colourful attires to... Show more

United Russia is the leading political party in the Russian government. The Communist party is the
next main opposition organization in Russia.
Furthermore, President Vladimir Putin has put a big emphasis on updating and upgrading Russias
military capabilities. Russian conventional capabilities have increased and will continue to rise
while President Vladimir Putin is in office. The increase in spending on defence will mean that
units have improved training and better equipment. Since 2008, the Armed Forces in Russia have
been going through a very large scale restructuring program with the commitment to developing
their military capability, especially concerning availability and readiness. The Government is
ambitious concerning the Military. The increase in defense expenditure remains high towards
gradually increasing the country s military capability.
Russia has three branches of armed services. The Air Force, the Ground Forces, the Navy and
each of these, in turn, consists of arms of services such as artillery and infantry. There are also
independent arms of service directly under the General Staff. The Airborne Forces, the Strategic
Missile Forces, and the Aerospace Defence Forces.
The Ground Forces are the biggest of the branches and have eight arms of service which include
infantry, tanks, artillery, air defence, rocket troops, engineers, reconnaissance, signals, and CBRN

Character Analysis Of Vincente Minnelli s Father Of The...
That Vincente Minnelli made a comedy about the artificial nature of weddings is hardly
surprising. In fact, it s a hilariously obvious choice for Minnelli, a director who made a career out
of blending emotions with spectacle and creating characters who strive for beauty. At its core,
Father of the Bride is a comedy; that means the number one goal is to make the audience laugh. Of
course, it has all the Minnelli traits you d expect: beautiful sets, precise compositions, fluid camera
movement, and a focus on character emotionthat permeates the frame. But this is all in service of
the comedy, and the comedy completely aligns with Minnelli s sensibilities. In Stanley T. Banks,
Minnelli creates a character who initially believed weddings were all about love. But he quickly
learns, much to his chagrin, that they re really just a source of endless chaos and bills. As the
film progresses, the preparations become more chaotic and expensive and Stanley becomes
increasingly befuddled and lost. It s hysterical. In Minnelli s musicals and melodramas, a wedding
might be a momentous occasion, full of grandeur and emotion. Here, though, it s a total pain in the
ass. Stanley gets so lost in the proceedings that he can t ever take a step back and think about his
daughter s next chapter. A comedy about a beautiful spectacle consuming a father s life? Now that
sounds like Minnelli.
Father of the Bride opens with a track and pan over a catastrophic (and beautifully designed) mess.
It s

Hebrew Scriptures And The New Testament Gospels
1.Anachronism is a Greek word anachronous which means against time. Therefore, is the
chronological misplacing of persons or things, that is to say; being out of the right time period and
out of place such as portraying Mary reading the bible.
Ethnocentrism is the perception of superiority in one s ethnic group, but it can also develop from
racial or religious differences. Therefore, we will be guilty of ethnocentrism when we impose our
cultural norms and values onto the cultural norms and values of Jesus and His contemporaries.
These are to be avoided when reading and reflecting on the bible for the simple reason that they
skew one s understanding and cause problem in reading the gospels by placing wrong dates for
biblical events. Second, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

  • 2. The Black Religious Community, Gospel ( Christian ) Rap To an entire segment of the Black religious community, Gospel (Christian) Rap has found its way to the footsteps of the church. The rapid emergence of this music and its subculture has left the church and clergy alike asking the question why? Especially since much of what I would call secular Rap is off the hook these days. How so, do you ask? There is a surplus of gratuitous violence, and sexually explicit Rap lyrics, that currently ride the airwaves and is uploaded into countless IPODs, MP3s, and Myspace.com websites. And what should we say about the continual overexposure and repetitious degradation of young Black women, half naked in booty shorts; subliminally suggesting to many that to treat all women like bitches and hoe s is ok. It also seems to promote a certain image of street machismo or hembra which suggests that adopting a pimp or criminal type lifestyle with a gold jeweled cup filled to the rim with Remy Marty VSOP or Gin and juice is the ultimate form of fun, and that true happiness is wrapped inside a Maybach Mercedes Benz with 24 inch rims and a house worthy of a write up on MTV Cribs. Finally, this dream life would be nothing without mentioning the bank account that can only be accessed while visiting the Cayman Islands. Hip hop is now a culture much like the Beatnik or Hippie of yesteryear and now to include churches. Like those references, many think that this too is a passing fad. In a modern computer, these processing is done electronically hence enabling a vastly greater number of calculation to be performed in lesser time. Binary codes which are representations of numerical numbers were used to process images, sounds, text and graphic. In digital computers, there are ones and zeros that represents the electrical on and off states and endless combinations of those to process any input. Moving on, the development of computer can be assessed from two perspectives. One perspective would be the invention of hardware components over time like vacuum tubes, transistors, integrated circuits and microprocessors that can be referred to as a generation of change. In the other hand, another perspective would be how user friendly were the computers over a period of time. In the 1950s the computers were almost impossible to use except by very patient geniuses. Next in the 1960s and 1970s, it could only be programmable by highly trained people. Lastly, from the 1980s till present time the computers are now smaller cheaper and useable by just about anyone. With a population of just over 40 million people, the Spanish speaking country has multiple aspects of consumer behavior that influence the way that people spend. Marketing in Argentina is communicated in ways very similar to the United States. Radio and television are large factors in how marketers reach consumers in Argentina. There are 170 AM radio stations and 2000 FM radio stations in Argentina with about twelve million radio sets in use and 46 television broadcasting stations with some eight million TV sets in use. With a 37.2% GDP increase the economy found itself expanding, consolidating, and becoming more multinational. Consumers were well off and becoming wealthier as the GDP rose from 1991 to 1998. They experienced a great deal of product differentiation ranging from new types of products, to better quality of products, and more expensive products. However, in 1998 this all had to change because of a 7% decrease in GDP over the next year. During this time consumers had to learn how to focus their spending on sub brands and discounted offers to save money. Marketers and businesses had to adjust also by switching their focus from product differentiation to cost cutting strategies. Between 1998 and 2000 there was an increase of 36% percent in the number of retail stores in the country but a fall of 23% in sales. This statistic shows how tough of a time that both consumers and businesses had to adjust to in order to try to slow down the economic regression. There are many different cohorts or marketing that could be used to look at the spending during the economic recession. Women in The Duchess of Malfi and The Changeling Essay The Duchess in John Webster s tragic play, The Duchess of Malfi, and Beatrice Joanna in Thomas Middleton and William Rowley s The Changeling, are both strong women living in a male dominated society. The two women attempt to free themselves from this subordination by choosing to love that they desire. Both pay with their lives for this chance at freedom, but differ in their moral decisions about how they attempt it. Beatrice Joanna s plan involves murder, whereas the widowed Duchess merely lives the life she chooses, then plots to leave Malfi. It is they who are consumed with aristocratic pride. It is their sibling jealousy and male pride that causes them to kill the Duchess. Antonio says: Her days are practiced in such noble virtue That sure her nights nay, more, her very sleeps Are more in heaven than other ladies schrifts (1.1.201). She is sexually confident and outgoing, and views marriage as a positive, loving venture. On the contrary, her brothers see marriage as a prison for women and a playhouse for men. The Cardinal believes The marriage night/Is entrance into some prison (1.1.326), and Ferdinand views it as the males time for sex when he says And those joys,/Those lustful pleasures, are like heavy sleeps/Which do forerun man s mischief (1.1. 328). The Duchess defies society s view of marriage. She marries the second time for love, but only after she has had an active sex life, and three children. After all the trauma he is forced to go through he sees everything differently. I think that by the end of the book Brian has changed for the better and becomes a more appreciative person. The reason that Brian changes is because of his plane crashing which results in him getting stranded in the Canadian forest. The first mental change that Brian undergoes is after his pilot dies and he has to land the plane. He manages to escape crashing in a lake, alive and without serious injuries. This made Brian thankful just to be alive even though he was hurt and in the middle of nowhere. A quote from Brian after the crash, I m alive. It could have been different. Additionally, in the final moments before Macbeth s decision to go through with the plan of killing Duncan, it had all but come down to his choice, with no ascendency from external sources. In Act 2, Scene 1, the dagger [he] sees before [him] might have been the final push he needed to commit his act of regicide and it is most likely that this vision of a dagger was created by his own imagination, demonstrating that part of his own mind, perhaps a villainous part of his sub conscious, was what created the illusion of the dagger. This makes it clear that deep down a part of him had the ambition to kill Duncan, and the use of a soliloquy enables the audience to hear his confused and conflicting thoughts as he is persuaded by his own mind to kill the king. Sarcomas also occur in all of these organs and systems but are far less common. Scientists do not know exactly why cancer develops, but they have found that certain agents play an active role in causing the disease. Most experts agree that people develop cancer mainly through repeated or prolonged contact with one or more cancer causing agents, called carcinogens. Carcinogens attack normal cells and may eventually cause one of them to become cancerous. Some carcinogens are introduced into the body through the nose, mouth, or some other opening. Other carcinogens attack the body through the skin. Many cancers are caused by a combination of 2 or more carcinogens rather than by a single one. Laboratory tests and population studies indicate that two main groups of carcinogens can cause cancer in human beings. This groups consist of various chemicals, and certain forms of radiation. Some examples of chemical carcinogens include the tars in tobacco smoke, certain industrial chemicals, certain unnatural food chemicals and also various chemicals used in drugs. Radiation, on the other hand, produces cancer in people who are exposed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 20. Comparison Of Ivan Pavlov And John Watson In 1903 a Russian physiologist by the name of Ivan Pavlov first developed an experiential model of learning called Classical Conditioning (Lautenheiser 1999). An example if Classical Conditioning would be ringing a bell when it is time for your pet to eat. The pet hears the bell and over time is conditioned that when the bell rings its dinner time thus begins to salivate, and eventually learns to be conditioned to responding to the bell in a specific manner. The bases was that neutral stimulus would be put together with an excitatory one and over time the neutral stimulus would, at some point down the line elicit the response that was associated with the original unlearned response. Pavlov later added an element known as the nonexcitatory, conditioned stimulus which is but together with an unconditioned stimulus (Lautenheiser 1999). Classic Conditioning can also be known as stimulus response, conditioned response, respondent condition as these are the behaviors that take place during the Classical Conditioning. There are two basic forms of associative conditioning, classical and operant. Both Ivan Pavlovand John Watson were the first contributors to these behaviorist theories. • 39. Nationalism And National Identity Nationalism is a source of modernization and political legitimacy, especially in Latin American countries such as Nicaragua, Argentina, and Mexico. An inclusive national identity can serve as a means for the development of belonging, and this globally acclaimed notion of diversity is attractive for nations struggling to find their footing in the international community. Looking towards the future, the key to achieving this inclusion is the use of culture, specifically employing music as a tool of integration. However, the decisive variable here is adolescents. Though these popular music forms may be the music of the people, they are ultimately dictated by the youth. In modern times, music is integral for youth as they delve into discourses of identity and equality, so focusing in on marginalized youth gives the government an opportunity to explore attitudes and national inclusion among individuals who are in a critical period of development. Even though teens are influenced by their parents beliefs during childhood before advancing their own views, youth are ultimately the starting point for incorporating ostracized groups into nationalist discourses because they are the developers and executors of music movements. Furthermore, the attitudes of young people regarding inclusion and exclusion provide an indication for the sustainability of such diverse national identities in the future. You cannot be arrested for simply carrying openly, and here is where the law gets murky. On one hand the law also states police officers can ask to see your permit and refusal to produce the permit can lead to an arrest because you interfered with police. On the other hand, the law states that police need a reasonable suspicion that a crime has been committed by the one carrying the weapon. This allows police to at any time reasonably assume a crime has been committed or will be committed by someone open carrying. • 43. The Court Of The Trial Chapter One The judge looked over the jury, then back at the defendant, a young man of about 20 years of age, and then at the prosecutor, a woman with spiky brown hair and black glasses. The trial had started two hours ago, with a recess one hour after it started. The recess lasted 10 minutes, and then started back up after people could gather their pieces of evidence. There had been so much evidence defending the young man, but in the end, the prosecution had enough to prove their point. The judge declared the young man guilty, and he was taken away. He screamed and struggled, but the guards removed him from the courtroom and delivered him to the prison. Only two weeks ago, a young woman was murdered at her apartment. The woman s name was ... He walked out of his apartment, standing next to the police before all but one of the cops filed into different police cars and drove away. So, I m supposed to be leaving the very place I live, and I don t even know your name. The woman adjusted her glasses, tapping something on the side and staring, before answering him. • 45. Character Analysis Of Vincente Minnelli s Father Of The... That Vincente Minnelli made a comedy about the artificial nature of weddings is hardly surprising. In fact, it s a hilariously obvious choice for Minnelli, a director who made a career out of blending emotions with spectacle and creating characters who strive for beauty. At its core, Father of the Bride is a comedy; that means the number one goal is to make the audience laugh. Of course, it has all the Minnelli traits you d expect: beautiful sets, precise compositions, fluid camera movement, and a focus on character emotionthat permeates the frame. But this is all in service of the comedy, and the comedy completely aligns with Minnelli s sensibilities. In Stanley T. Banks, Minnelli creates a character who initially believed weddings were all about love. But he quickly learns, much to his chagrin, that they re really just a source of endless chaos and bills. As the film progresses, the preparations become more chaotic and expensive and Stanley becomes increasingly befuddled and lost. It s hysterical. In Minnelli s musicals and melodramas, a wedding might be a momentous occasion, full of grandeur and emotion. Here, though, it s a total pain in the ass. Stanley gets so lost in the proceedings that he can t ever take a step back and think about his daughter s next chapter. A comedy about a beautiful spectacle consuming a father s life? Now that sounds like Minnelli. Father of the Bride opens with a track and pan over a catastrophic (and beautifully designed) mess. It s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
