2. The Sacrifice Of Isaac John Lievens Analysis
The Sacrifice of Isaac created by John Lievens (Dutch, 1607 1674) attributes to the events in the
bible of Abraham sacrificing his son and made in 1659. Lievens began his career as an independent
artist at the age of twelve and later died in 1674 due to financial issues. It is a famous story in the
Hebrew Bible and begins with Godtelling Abraham to kill his son, Isaac, on Moriah in Genesis 22:1
19. Having no hesitation to kill his own son, Abraham takes Isaac and prepares the altar. Right
before the sacrifice, one of God s angel told Abraham to stop the killing and that he has proven
himself well. The picture currently depicts Abraham leading Isaac towards the place of sacrifice
and unaware that God will intervene in the ritual. In doing

3. Identity Is A Bynamic Process Of Identity And Social Identity
An individual s identity is a continual and dynamic process of narration in which both the
individual and social partners are involved in formulating, editing, applauding, and refusing various
elements of the ever produced narrative (Humphreys Brown, 2002). It is internalized and revised
from a persons selective appropriation of past, present, and future through introspection and
interaction with social partners to create and maintain a coherent personal story (Miscenko Day,
2015). There are multiple levels of identitythat an individualmay hold, and these levels interact and
contribute to the way a person defines themselves. A social identity forms when an individual
ties his or her self concept to a collective or role (Ashforth, Harrison, Corley, 2008). A social
identity is one that is shared by members and distinguished by groups, and members define
themselves and enable others to define them based on the groups to which they belong (Miscenko
Day, 2015). A person s social identity relates to their sense of self worth, as people attach positive
value to their identities (Miscenko Day, 2015). An individual uses their social identity to affirm
their self concept through their social peers, seeking confirmation by expressing identity relevant
behavior central to role definition (Miscenko Day, 2015). Social identities are also used for self
enhancement by confirming both positive and negative aspects of identity and striving to promote

4. The Battle Of The Sexes
The term hookup is deliberately vague and has come to replace dating on college campuses
(Armstrong Hamilton, 2009, p. 589). The notion of battle of the sexes is one in which women want
hookups to evolve into some aspect of a relationship, while men prefer to hook up with no strings
attached (Armstrong Hamilton, 2009, p. 591). Hamilton and Armstrong s ethnographic study of
femalestudents examine the sexual experiences of men and women. Their research indicates that
the battle of the sexes explanation is insufficient and contributes to genderinequality by
naturalizing problematic notions of gender difference (Armstrong Hamilton, 2009, p. 609). In this
paper, I will explain why their evidence of the battle of the sexes was inadequate and why I
believe their data is sufficient with their overall findings. It is because women want independence
and autonomy, they want to be self supporting, and want to have opportunities to meet new people
that women reframe from engaging in relationships. However, men s perspective on relationships
is overlooked in their data and based on my understandings of young adults, my experiences
provide evidence of a battle of the sexes amongst students.
Contrary to the notion of the battle of the sexes explanation, Armstrong and Hamilton suggest that
most privileged women want to be independent and gain autonomy before settling down in a
relationship (Armstrong Hamilton, 2009, p. 602). The battle of the sexes approach suggests

Reading through the Won Buddhist Temple s website and the Wikipedia article was very

Buddhism that seeks to make Enlightenment attainable for all and that the teachings are meant to

simplifies the teachings and practices so they are easily understandable and applicable; it also

8. Why Is Mrs Dalloway Separated From Death
In the story Mrs. Dalloway, the theme of death is extremely prevalent, but one character that is
separate from that theme, essentially until the end of the book, Clarissa. Clarissa never faces
death; despite, that she is living in a world that is so close to WWII. Why is Clarissa so
separated from death in the story? Clarrisa lives her life isolated from the world of death; she
goes on to her parties and other social events like they are the only important thing in the world.
Then at the end of the book, during the part she has spent so much time and effort on, the only
thing that the people are talking about is some random guy that killed himself. At first, it looks
as if Clarissa is outraged at the idea that someone would do such a thing to ruin her party, but then
something happens. Clarissa embraces the concept of death in a Poe esk manner, Death was
defiance. Death was an attempt to communicate; people feeling the impossibility of reaching the
center which, mystically, evaded them; closeness drew apart; rapture faded, one was alone. There
was an embrace in death (Woolf 180). That seems strange, that someone how has been so far from
death in the scope of the book would suddenly find such an embrace in it. Then, could it be that

9. Solid Lead Iodide Lab Report
Discussion:
There are numerous ways of isolating and purifying a substance, and an investigation of the
differences of each procedure were performed. In two different procedures, lead nitrate and
potassium iodide were used to isolate and purify pure solid lead iodide, and the differences in the
limiting reactant and solid lead iodide was observed. The amount of solid lead iodide was calculated
by the measuring the mass of which the solid lead iodide was created in before and after the
purification of solid lead iodide.
The purification and isolation of solid lead iodide was achieved in two different process with
different results. In the evaporation collection, the solid iodide was created by adding heat to the
water base solution of lead ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the evaporation collection, potassium nitrate was left behind in the casserole dish. If no
potassium nitrate was present the percent yield would be closer to 100% yield, but this is not the
case. The percent yield for the evaporation collection was 144% yield which is not close to 100%
yield.
The evaporation collection procedure was able to achieve over 75% yield with a percent yield of
144%, while the vacuum filtration was unable to achieve the goal with only 56.9% yield. The
evaporation collection was able to achieve the 144% yield by carefully transferring all of the liquid
from the test tube to the casserole dish with accuracy and using distilled water in the procedure.
Based on the percent yields, the evaporation collection technique would be the best option since it
achieved 144% yield, which is over the 75% yield goal. Although the evaporation collection attained
a better percent yield, the vacuum filtration produces a purer lead iodide because the potassium
nitrate is filtered out of the Buchner funnel, while in the evaporation collection keeps the potassium
nitrate in the casserole dish.
In this experiment, there are two different systematic errors to consider. In the evaporation
collection, the casserole dish that was used had an uneven edge which could have allowed some of
the solution, which contained lead

11. Vonnegut s Use Of Intertextuality
Intertextuality can be defined as a literary device used to interrelate between two texts. When many
types of intertextual references such as parody, allusion, and quotation and so forth are used, the
text is recreated. While a raisin in the sun talks about African Americans who are struggling to
achieve their goals, Vonnegut in Slaughterhouse Five reveals the effects war which occurred during
the second world war. Vonnegut and Hansberry in Slaughterhouse five and a raisin in the sun
through a literary device of intertextualitypresents the concept of allusion, parody, and quotation to

Vonnegut uses parody in slaughter house five by comparing his main character, Billy Pilgrimto
Cinderella to add a comical effect. For example, when Billy realizes that his pair of shoes were
ruined, and he needs a new one, so Billy steals Cinderella s pair of silver boots, which fitted him
perfectly. (Vonnegut 145). Vonnegut by comparing Billy s life to Cinderella s story explains the
antithesis of the Slaughterhouse five that Billy lives in a world where complex events specifically
the war is unchangeable. On the contrary, Vonnegut highlights the significance that Cinderella is
about a girl who is finally able to change her position in life. Thus, Vonnegut applies this reference
to indicate the irony that even though Billy s physique was unsuitable for the job, he somehow
survives the war. Similarly, parody is also applied in a raisin in the sun through the character of
George. For instance, George uses the reference of Prometheus to make fun of Walter s illiteracy.
George knows the fact that Walter is not educated enough and is unable to understand the reference,
leading him to question that who is Prometheus? (Hansberry 86). Prometheus was a Titan who stole
fire from the Greek Gods and gave it to the humans; as a result, Gods decided to punish him.
Therefore, George uses this reference to present the significance that Walter Lee wants to steal fire
from the White people to help African American in achieving their goals. Vonnegut and Hansberry
insert intertextuality in their texts successfully by parodying fictional characters of Cinderella and

Slowly, people started to change their clothing, hair, music styles and opinions. This was a century

18. Kant And Morality
When talking about whether or not consequences of an act have anything to do with morality,
one must think of all the ways in which an individual s acts could be considered morally wrong.
Morality relates to conduct, whereas they both involve some type of action that is partaken by
the individual, which can be mistaken as being good even though the consequences are
considered bad (Dewey, 1891).When a person performs an action, and the outcome of that action
is a negative one, we often find ourselves blaming anything other than the individual themselves
because we believe they had no foresight on what was going to happen. Dewey describes that
when conduct and character are involved in telling if somebody is being moral, or immoral, we
are unable to say whether or not the action was good or bad until we know how that action turns
out and we know what the consequences are. (Dewey, 1891).

in order for an office, factory, restaurant, or similar organization to run smoothly and effectively.

Little did they understand that through the Teamwork Style of leadership, every member on the
team was able to formulate the plan that was given by the manager to suit their own personal

shipping and receiving of airplane parts. If one member of the team was more skilled in
checking in the airplane parts, then that would be his assigned task. If another team member

assigned that specific job. If one of the team had a problem or concern about the job project, then
the other team members would make positively sure that they were helped before they went to

getting a large project done with relative ease. The team concept also helped to increase the
awareness of team members to fellow team members. If team members are helping each other on
a daily basis, then eventually they will begin to think as a collective team; not as individuals who

In the Victorian Age occurred the revival of religion following the moral principles of the Bible.

period of belief in God and Bibleended very soon, because of the different publications regarding
the natural elements and the genesis thru science.
The poem The Latest Decalogue is a satire addressed to the society of the Victorian age, who

then, they wanted to be in the spotlight with all they did.
The ending offers a perspective about towards what our love should be transmitted. The poet
implies that we should always love God, as he is our master, who keeps an eye on us, seeing what
we are doing and what kind of persons are we, in order that He will know if he will prepare a place

21. Positive Effects Of Gentrification
Many cities have been rejuvenated throughout the world. Santa Ana located in California, has
been one of the victims of gentrification. The most affected area is Downtown Santa Ana. Fourth
Street has been used to exemplify how gentrification works. Downtown Santa Ana has been
almost completely modified. Gentrification has it s positive effects just like it has it s negative
effects. The negative consequences include displacement, loss of cultural identity, and
increasing rent. First of all, one of the reasons to why gentrifiers should stop the process of
modifying cities is displacement. Displacement is a bad consequence because buildings are
being placed in a bad neighborhood. For example, Source 4 includes a link to a poem about a
crime that took place in the San Francisco s mission district, three latino immigrants were brutally
beat and injured by a white man with a crowbar. He is the owner of a brand new bar on 16th

mentions, Doing that Forget about El Centro del Pueblo thing and volunteer at the pirate store

enjoyed both of these productions. Each production had great actors and each portrayed their
character very well, by using many of the aspects of the six elements of theatre that Aristotle
used to explain the aesthetics of theatre. Each of these productions had very interesting
characters and also had great plots that kept audiences on the edges of their seats. In each of
these productions there were also many recurring themes and important messages that were
underlying the whole play. The design and furniture of both plays were also very stunning and
visually pleasing. In Lend Me a Tenor, there was a set of a house, which was very neat and very
pretty. The house was very great and also had other doors to other rooms that were very neatly and
visually set up. In the production, One Flew over the Cuckoo s Nest, the design of the set was very
horror filled and it was very dark because the setting was inside an asylum. A lot of the plot
production and set and use of characters to reveal the theme was prevalent in both of the plays.

Radiation and chemotherapy may only partially penetrate a tumor; remaining malignant tissue will
allow the cancer to reoccur within the patient. Incomplete tumor removal is a risk associated with
surgical removal of cancerous tissue.3 Additionally, studies have shown that radiation promotes
cancerous cell growth. Radiation promotes a cellular process known as autophagy, which supports
metabolic functions while a cell is living with some sort of environmental stress. Typically, the cell
will degrade longstanding organelles and proteins to recycle the molecular units of macromolecules.
This becomes an alternate source of nutrients during cell survival. Within a premalignant cell,
autophagy will prevent a cell from replicating if it is cancerous. Once the cell has become
malignant, it is living under environmentally stress induced by hypoxia and nutrient depletion.
Malignant cells are dependent of autophagy for survival, and radiation promotes autophagy; this,
radiation promotes cancer.4 Current cancer treatments have high risks of harsh side effects and a
high probability of reoccurring cancer. There is an urgent need for new anticancer therapies;
compounds derived from the natural products of bacteria and fungi have been investigated as a
possible solution. The natural product industry gained popularity around1970 1980 and the primary
focus is to determine the structure of small molecule produced

25. Argumentative Essay On Lobbying
Jessica Hudon

Ben DeVries
December 7, 2017
Title
Thanks to the first amendment, we are all given an inalienable right to be heard by our
government whether it be through speeches, peaceful protests, or through the act of lobbying.
Lobbying, like many political systems, has become a very debatable topic especially as the Obama
presidency has ended and the Trump presidency has begun. For years presidential administrations
have been trying to make changes to regulate lobbying, yet now that Trump is in office, he is
reversing these attempts. These feuding opinions have sparked my curiosity enough to become
interested in learning about the opposing viewpoints regarding lobbying. Many scholars, like
James Thurber and Patrick Flavin, believe something needs to be done to limit lobbying in the
United States due to its unethical qualities. While other scholars like Gertrude L Schermerhorn
and Jennifer Nicoll Victor don t see lobbying in such a negative light. Arguments in favor of
lobbying highlight the fact that lobbying is a way for the people to inform their government on
their values. On the other hand, many believe that lobbying gives certain demographics i.e.:
Americans with money and power, even more of a voice. Many question whether these special
interest groups are allotted too much power. Although lobbying was originally intended as a means
for citizens to have their voices heard, it has developed into a mechanism for big organizations to
influence laws in their favor. Because corporations are taking advantage of the practice of lobbying,
there need to be regulations put in place to rein in unethical lobbying, and there need to be alternate
resources of information provided to congressmen so that they have the opportunity to receive
unbiased information.
Before diving into whether or not lobbying is ethical, it is important to first define what lobbying
is in the first place. As defined by Raoul Mayer in the video titled Interest Group Formation: Crash
Course Government and Politics #43 , Lobbying is an attempt to influence policy by persuading a
government policy making official (). Its original intent was to allow citizens who are passionate
about a certain issue to rally together and have

Nicholas was known to be narrow minded and weak willed. He hated politics and was
dominated by his wife, Tsarina Alexandra. Marie Antoinette was not the only queen with a
famous and powerful woman in her family. Alexandra s grandmother was Queen Victoria of
England. Alexandra saw herself as English, not French, and she had no desire to even learn the
Russian language. Both Alexandra and Marie Antoinette were hated because they were outsiders
who could not sympathize with their people. The scandal of Rasputin, the Siberian peasant who
wandered into St. Petersburg, declaring himself a healer and holy man, was seen by Alexandra
as her miracle. Her son Alexi had hemophilia and she eternally blamed herself for his heredity
disease. In reality, Rasputin actually was able to stop the ceaseless bleeding, but their friendship,
and rumored affair, severed her relationship with the Russian people, who knew that Rasputin was
not a holy man, but an exploiter. Known for attending parties, taking drugs, and being quite
popular with the Russian ladies, the people knew his true identity. Alexandra refused to believe
anyone who spoke against Rasputin. She not only took his medicinal advice, but extended his
influence to the politics of the country, passing his political advice on to Nicholas. During World
War I, when Nicholas had gone to the Western front, Rasputin was sitting in on cabinet meetings
and even dismissing officials. Rasputin s voice spoke loud, while the Russian people were not
even allowed to speak. In the eyes of the Russian people, the Tsar and Tsarina did not care about
the fate of Russia. Louis XVI and Nicholas II were the last rulers of the countries that could take no

abdication of Nicholas, thus ending three hundred years of Romanov rule (Reid). Enlightened ideas

28. The Consequences Of Teen Juveniolent Offenders
Just Kids
We believe that when people make mistakes, they deserve the opportunity to remake their lives.
(Barack Obama) The youth of the world are seen as the future of our nation. With that being said
there is a vast number of juvenile delinquents in this world. The problem that our nation is
struggling is how to effectively punish these offenders, more specifically repeat offenders. Courts
think that due to the fact that they are repeat offenders they should suffer the same consequences as
adults because the action is believed to be intentional. Teenage repeat offenders should not suffer
the same consequences as adults because most of them are victims by situation, and they need time
to grow.
When people think of juveniles they think of troubled kids, not criminals with vile intentions. Even
though teenage repeat offenders end up doing the same thing they did that got them arrested in the
first place, the idea that they should be tried as adults is ridiculous. Prison is no place for a teenager.
Especially because most of these kids are victims by situation. Meaning that the reason they are the
way they are is because of how they were raised. The article, Temporality and trauma: Towards an
articulation between the judicial, educational and psychological times in repeat teenage offenders,
mentions the connection between teenage repeat offenders and how they grew up. The study stated

People often take for granted the importance of the first impression, the few pivotal seconds
where the eye decides what someone is like before they ve spoken a single word. In The Cabinet
of Dr. Caligari, Weine uses costume design and German expressionist makeup to visually assign
roles of sanity and insanity to the characters that are immediately identifiable. In doing so, Weine
insinuates the people are all too willing to accept these visual cues without question, when in
reality the line between the sane and insane may not be so clear cut. In order to achieve this effect,
Weine first establishes a sense of normalcy by appealing to society s picture of the common man.

However, a closer look at the characters appearance following the big twist challenges this
simplicity. The first clue that something is off is the nature of the people that inhabit the asylum,
especially Cesare. A close up on Cesare reveals that his appearance has been skewed by Francis
madness. His messy hair has been combed into place, reminiscent of Alan s normal locks. Most
notable, the dark circles under his eyes have disappeared, implying that Cesare is not, and was
never, a somnambulist. Thus, the truth behind Francis story begins to crumble. The discovery of
Francis insanity is realized by his courtyard companion, whose visible shock and horror is
paralleled in the audience. In this moment, it is revealed that everything has been told from the
perspective of a madman, destroying the credibility of the entire story. The ambiguity increases as
Queen Jane receives another close up: her makeup looks the same softened, even. Jane s
appearance barely changed, and the fact that her makeup was even darker in the flashback where
she was normal blurs the line between Francis delusions and reality. Afterwards, Caligari comes
down in a way similar to the beginning, emerging out of the shadows. However, the makeup, hair,
and costuming has gone, revealing a completely normal looking person. Such a drastic

33. Summary Of Paolo De Matteis sThe Adoration Of The Shepherds
Paolo de Matteis s esteemed work The Adoration of the Shepherds is a large painting, depicting a
classic Christian Nativity scene, that is displayed in the Dallas Museum of Art. In the piece, a
dozen or so individuals surround the newborn Christ and his parents, gazing at him in admiration
and paying him homage while animals look serenely on and angels assemble around the heads of
the Holy Family. The artist employs several classic artistic elements in his painting, such as line,
light, color, and shape, to draw the viewer s focus directly to his intended point of emphasis, the
infant Jesus.
One of the most effective principles Paolo de Matteis uses in this painting is his use of lines and
invisible lines to direct the viewer s attention to the child in his mother s arms. The shepherds and
their animals, the Virgin Mary, and Saint Joseph are all instances of invisible lines in this painting,
as their outstretched hands and lines of vision are all pointing to the baby Jesus. For example, the
three women and the child kneeling to the bottom right side of the manger are all staring or
pointing to the upper left, toward Jesus. Moving to the upper right corner of the painting, the ox
and the donkey are directing their gaze to the bottom left, once again at Jesus. The two men to the
right of the animals also point in that direction. In the top and center, Mary and Joseph watch their
child, creating yet another invisible line pointing toward the point of emphasis, while the angels

Management Summary Summary of requirements Club IT recognizes the pitfalls of their
antiquated system. Creating an information management system will advance their business
protocols and provide a cohesiveness between inventory control, wait staff monitoring, and data
security. Adding an additional focus on WiFi availability is an advantage to Club IT and their
customers. Inventory control is a primary concern to prevent overstock and out of stock dilemmas.
Overstocking products effects the budget negatively. Out of stock products essentially effects
revenue negatively and hinders customer satisfactions. A business intelligence model that
encompasses database functionality and a point of sale (POS) system features would remedy
many of the inventory control downfalls. The automation provided by an information
management system would allow ?critical? products to be automatically ordered when a
designated remaining stock percentage is reached. For non critical products, a notification would
be sent to the owners to determine if the product should be ordered now or at a later date. Sale
figure reports from the POS system would provide valuable information on sale quotas for all
products. Critical product ordering will be fully automated with confirmation supplied to owners
after product is ordered from vendor. Non critical products simply need the owner?s approval for
the automation process to complete the order. A POS system, combined with an accounting and

35. Christopher Columbus s `` The Harp And The Shadow `` Essay
For many centuries, Christopher Columbus has been portrayed as a hero who founded America.
As many may discover, later in life, Christopher Columbus can be considered to be the head of a
mass genocide. Alejo Carpentier s novel, The Harp and the Shadow, shines light on the evils of
Christopher Columbus with a fictional twist. Victoria Chase states, Carpentier combines an Old
World perspective, formed by tradition, expectation and necessity, with a decidedly New World
sense of its origin and history (Chase 28). This paper will examine despite what Christopher
Columbuswas famed to be, he is demythologized by Alejo Carpentier s novel when the true side of
Columbus is exposed. Alejo Carpentier writes this new historical novel for a reason: These novels
have as a unique feature: their closeness to the events described in the chronicles of the Indies. It
has been their purpose to preserve what was already told thru conquest documents, yet making
subtle variations to reinforce their agendas (Atia 42). Many point out that Carpentier wrote this
novel because of his political visions of the time, His writings were by and a large notable critique
of bourgeois society and Western civilization. The Harp and the Shadow provides sufficient
evidence of that intellectual attitude in his passionate condemnation of colonialism and the
imposition of bourgeois values in the new continent (Atia 22 23). Carpentier demythologized
Columbus because of these reasons. He begins The Hand

The story follows a group of friends that work together as an improv troupe at a sinking theater.
Improv can often come with the stigma of being awkward and unfunny, but the improv scenes are
some of the strongest throughout the entire film. Although the humor does fall flat in some spots

Sometimes a wrench can be thrown into your plans and where you end up may not be where
you thought you d end up in a million years. However, like one of the first rules of improv, going
with the flow is the best way to live an unpredictable life. It s important to dream big and have
goals, but one person s dream is not always another s. Sometimes staying in a small improv troupe
with friends is a better life path than making it onto national television, and that s okay. There s
more than one road to happiness.
It also shows that on the road to living your best life, sometimes people or things can get left
behind. Change is good, people have different goals, and even though it can hurt, sometimes you
have to leave someone behind in order to move both of your lives forward. Although every
character began with the same goal and only two actually reached it, each character s ending felt
fitting and fulfilling. There s more than one path to happiness and success in life, and this movie
showed it well.
Overall, as someone who s going with the flow but has no idea where life is taking me, this movie
was a comfort and a learning tool. The rules of improv are universal and great life advice that I m

The real hero is Abraham Lincoln and the principles for which he lived and died: freedom and
equal rights for all Americans. (Swanson 193) is an important quote in the book. This quote is
spot on. It is so true that Lincoln did the best he could and died because of what he did. He was
the one to stop the fighting so everyone could be equal. This quote is in the epilogue, so this at the

Painters other than Bordone have also painted the scene in which Christ is with the doctors.
Bordone is clearly influence by one of these paintings while painting his work. It is said that the
painting by Bordone is indebted to a similar depiction of the same subject by Tintoretto (Ilchman,
Christ Disputing in the Temple, in Eye of the Beholder). When we look at Tintoretto s version of
the painting, we can see clear similarities between both his and Bordone s. The immediate
similarities being the use of light, as well as how Bordone chooses to shift the painting to capture

Bordone would have most likely seen this painting before he painted his. This is due to the fact that
both him and Tintoretto are Venetian painters, and both were assistants to Titian, another very
famous Venetian artist (Ilchman). While the perspective offered in Tintoretto s painting is not
naturalistic, and the scale of the many figures is rather skewed, we can still see the influence he
had on Bordone. In Tintoretto s painting it shows the same dramatic scene that Bordone paints. The
figures are all in movement, looking at books, debating with either Christ, or themselves. Which is
essentially what Bordone s painting is demonstrating as well. Tintoretto also depicts Christ on a
throne surrounded by the doctors, which mirrors Bordone s. The only difference from Tintoretto s,
is that there are less people, and Christ is not in the exact center in Bordone s painting. Bordone
uses a more realistic approach to his painting than Tintoretto. Tintoretto chooses to make the figures

41. How F1 Cars Have Drastically Limited For Safety Since 1994...
The Formula 1 series is perhaps the most intense, skillful, challenging motor sport in the world.
This racing consists of car companies ranging from Toyota to Ferrari all competing for one title

reaching corning speeds of 180 mph. However, there can be and have been faster f1 cars in the
past. All Performance aspects of f1 cars have been drastically limited for safety since 1994. I
would propose that these laws and regulations of the FIA should be removed and replaced to
show what companies can do. By creating new laws and regulations it would allow the full
potential of making the ultimate race cars. This is workable because formula 1 needs it to save
themselves from a business perspective. A change in law and regulation on the cars would
bring f1 popularity back to life and make the cars achieve the unbelievable. The FIA created a

law mandates all cars regulatory standards to keep racing safe and fair. The FIA created this law

The screenplay for the film was written in 1998, however, Tarantino struggled to bring the film to
an end and put it on hold to direct Kill Bill (2003/2004). After finishing Death Proof (2007),
Tarantino returned to the screenplay and was able to commence filming in Germany and France in
2008 with a budget of $70,000,000. The film turned out to be Tarantino s highest grossing film up
until Django: Unchained (2012), making it his second. The film was nominated for seven Oscars
and won Best Performance By an Actor in a Supporting Role (Christopher Waltz).... Show more

SS colonel Hans Landa visits the farm, believing Perrier LaPadite is harboring Jews. Landa
offers to leave Padite and his family alone for the remainder of the war if he reveals where the
refugees are; he eventually discovers they re hiding under the floorboards. Shosanna flees
towards the woods, barely escaping the bullets with Landa yelling, Au revoir, Shosanna! Waltz s
character, while being a Nazi officer, is first perceived to be calm and well mannered in LaPadite
s abode. The patience of his character can be unnerving since some may expect him to be blunt and
rude, yet he remains polite and respectful while conversing with LaPadite. Landa maintains his
facade for quite sometime until LaPadite caves in and informs him the Jews are hiding under the
floorboards, when all hell breaks loose. Landa is a sinister character, nonchalantly manipulating his

46. Refuge Searchers Essay
We, as a country, have apologized, however a statement of regret can t fix the wrong that was
finished. Or maybe, a statement of regret is an assertion of sense of duty regarding guarantee that
the errors of the past never reemerge. Unfortunately, these are unfilled words if there are no
activities to back them up; more terrible yet, in the event that our activities as a country repudiate
what we say. The 2013 government race focussed vigorously on the issue of refuge searchers,
specifically the individuals who traveled by vessel. Individuals escaping war and abuse frequently
embrace urgent measures in quest for a protected and cheerful life for themselves and their families.
This incorporates making unsafe excursions via ocean in ineffectively looked after vessels,
regularly without satisfactory lifesaving arrangements. Men, ladies, youngsters and children pack
into these vessels and plan to make it securely to our shores. Hundreds suffocate when their
watercraft breaks, or breakes on the stones of our northern drift. The... Show more content on

searchers by alluding to them as vessel individuals, and calling them not by name, but rather by the

Urban Dwellers affected by Race
There have been many articles published about the transformation of cities in regards to industrial
improvements, communities blooming with mass migrations, and standards of living. A number of
different cultures have migrated to rural and urban populations and among those mass migrations
there were African Americans. Although immigrants went through hardships such as harsh living
conditions and low status, they didn t have to go through as much trouble as African Americans
did. African Americans who moved into the city were not on top of the priority list to most. They
were not given the time of day to their needs. Race affected these urban dwellers because of
discrimination, living conditions, and inequality. The color of their skin, regardless of
abolishment of slavery and social and economic well being was the only obstacle they faced
every day to achieve the same opportunities as the whites did and other immigrants. George
Edmund Haynes article, Conditions Among Negroes in the Cities, investigates reason and
explains why certain situation were often ignored, He states, There is growing up in the cities of
America a distinct Negro world, isolated from many of the impulses of the common life and little
known and understood by the white world about it (110). Flaws of their culture and color of their
skin affected African Americans as urban dwellers. As Haynes states, they had
