3.3 Datasets
Dataset is a collection of information or data. More often dataset refer to the corresponding to
single table of database in which every row represents a given member of dataset and every
column corresponds to a specific variable. List values of the datasets for each variable is a
member of data present in the datasets and each of its value is called as datum. Datasets may
contain data for one or more than one members that is interrelated to the number of rows in the
table. Datasets can contain more than one table that is related to one database in the database system.
In my evaluation I found it hard to find the logical large size dataset that should be in CSV
format since most of the time database system does not support any other format extensions
except CSV format but I managed to find it from the web and I used it in my performance
evaluation. I have used four different datasets. I have partitioned by datasets as small dataset and
large dataset. One of my dataset is further divided into three datasets that I downloaded from the
web sources and other dataset I used is extracted from a rotten tomatoes website. Dataset
downloaded from the web is related to the property tax report of different years. And the dataset
which I extracted through data scrapping from rotten tomatoes site is ... Show more content on

Theme Of Death In Chronicle Of A Death Foretold
In Gabriel GarcГa MГЎrquez s novella Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Santiago Nasar is ruthlessly
murdered by the Vicario brothers Pedro and Pablo Vicario in a remote Colombian town. Although
the Vicario brothers are responsible for the murder, i.e. the actual killing of Santiago, the behind the
scene culture, in particular the town s beliefs, ideals and expectations, should be blamed for
Santiago s death. Aspects of the town s culture, including the sanctity of pre marital virginity and
honor, drive the characters to perform the murderof Santiago. The town s cultural highlight on pre
marital virginity is one major factor accountable for Santiago s death. Angela Vicario s decision to
put on the veil and the orange blossoms without being a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since the brothers were brought up to be men, they needed to take action in order to regain their
sister and family s honor (30). Honor was idolized in the town to the point that the act of killing
Santiago can be forgiven, or even rewarded. The town s ideal of honor closely relates to heroic,
masculine theme like going on an epic quest. For instance, Pablo Vicario s wife Prudencia Cotes
never would have married [Pablo] if he hadn t done what a man should do (63). In other words,
Pablo is the hero who goes on a grand journey to slay the monster Santiago. After slaying Santiago,
he proves himself as a man, gains his honor, and is rewarded with a bride, who would not have
married him otherwise. Prudencia s decision to marry Pablo amplify the hidden cultural expectation
for a man to uphold the honor of the family, even if upholding the honor means sacrificing someone
else s life. Throughout the novella, the Vicario brothers actions suggest that their decision of killing
Santiago is against their will. They made their plan rather obvious for the townspeople to find out.
As a matter of fact, they advertised their plan to the entire town because that the only reason they
had said it was for someone to hear them (51). This act of disseminating their plot hints to their
hesitation and doubtfulness of committing the actual

Asymmetric Warfare Is An Inherently Relational Concept
The asymmetry in asymmetric warfare is an inherently relational concept. It refers to a relative
dissimilarity between opponents in battle, derived from a difference in relational strength amid
warring sides. This asymmetry has tended to be in terms of status and organization; means and
resources, goals and objectives; and strategies and tactics. The relationship between the belligerents
in today s conflicts varies in many tactical, strategic and operational levels, which has come to be
perceived as changing warfare. This popular perception is that with the rise of asymmetric warfare,
conventional warfare had transformed from a customary and symmetric exercise into an irregular,
avant garde, asymmetric experience. In contrast to this perspective, the main argument here is that
asymmetric warfare is not a new genus of warthat has risen in the twentieth century as a distinct
revolution in military affairs, but rather, asymmetric warfare is a perennial characteristic of warfare,
or set of distinct conflict dynamics in warfare that occasionally surface out of asymmetric strength
between opponents in war.
At the foundation of this essay is a question calling for the analysis of the rise of asymmetric
warfare . However, after analyzing the history of asymmetric warfare and the changes and
behaviors that have taken place through this time as this essay will do my perspective is critical of
the assumption in the question that asymmetric warfare has risen . Warfare, in

Women Involved In Love Triangles
As I was watching a few television series on Netflix, I have concluded that most of these
productions demonstrate young women being involved in love triangles. Some television series
that stood out to me were the Vampire Diaries and One Tree Hill. Both of these television series
are filmed in a high school and college setting. Young women are illustrated as being involved in
love triangles where they have to choose between a guy that either has a great or horrible
reputation when it comes to their past in general or their past relationships. The women displayed
in these shows are indecisive and problematic. These shows place women at the center of the love
triangles and most of the uprising conflicts. The reason why women are usually placed

positive and negative impacts of clicker for college students. I. Introduction. What is a Clicker?
A Clicker is a device designed for students and teachers for a new method of learning and
teaching experience for students and teachers. The Clicker is a technology that can automatically
record the student s performances in the class. This device is being used by some schools in this
country like Mapua Institute of Technology. This college recently implemented the use of
Clicker, it was said that there are a lot of advantages in using this clicker device. Though there are
advantages, there are also disadvantages in using this device. The advantages of this device is that
it will improve the student s performance. It also says that learning with this device is going to be
fun and motivating for students. It allows the teachers to identify which among the students
understands and do not understand the lessons. Though there are a lot of advantages for this

Lilybank Lodge. The lodge offers this exclusive niche the opportunity of a secluded holiday in a

The 28,000 hectares of original farmland that made up the retreat and backed onto the South Island
s Mount Cook National Park were converted into a big game reserve. All merino sheep on the
land were sold, and deer, elk, chamois, and wapiti were brought in and released. This was a
carefully considered plan. Olde Olthof, the former conservationist, believed that financially and
environmentally this was the correct decision. Not only do tourists, each staying for one week and
taking part in safari shooting, inject as much cash into the business as the station s annual wool clip
used to fetch, but the game does less harm to the environment than sheep. Cattle, however, once
part of the original station, were left to graze on lower reverflat areas.
For those high flying customers seeking less bloodthirsty leisure activities, Lilybank developed
other product line extensions. Horse trekking, golfing on a nearby rural course (with no need for
hordes of security forces), world class photographic opportunities, helicopter trips around nearby
Lake Tekapo, nature walks, and other such activities formed part of the exclusive package.
While still in the early stages of operation, this retreat has already attracted a steady stream of
visitors. To date the manager has relied solely on positive word of mouth, publicity, and public

Complex Individual Identity
The identity of any given individual is, along with the societal representation of the human anima,
in many ways, an amalgam of your culture, social views, and all the other constituents of the
human psyche. The presence of a complex individual identity, is undoubtedly of the prevalence
within the humanity, as compared to any other form of life. This adaptation has allowed our
species to form complex social bonds, leading directly to the genesis of society. On one hand,
nations, groups or even individuals can struggle to ascertain whether their loyalty is to themselves
and their people, or the world as a whole. This can lead to the previously mentioned entity attaining

Taking place in 1956, the canal, built by Egyptian workers, was lawfully owned by a private
French and British association known as the Suez Canal Company. However, the current
president of Egypt at the time, Gamal Abdel Nasser, believed it to be within the national interest
of Egypt to reclaim the canal due to both the massive economic boon it would provide due to it
funding the Aswan dam, which would help to flood the Nile, and the hydroelectric power gained
from the raging waters. Due to the aforementioned reasons at this time with the cold war still in
effect, Nasser s forces seized the canal in the name of Egypt, nationalizing it in the process.
Although a counterattack was planned by; Israel, Britain, and France, Canadian Prime Minister
Lester B Pearson in conjunction with the UN, planned the first United Nations large scale
peacekeeping force. The British and French wisely bowed to the pressure exerted by the
peacekeeping force, withdrawing from Egypt almost entirely, and the entire conflict ended semi
peacefully despite the 6 day war between Israel and Egypt, with the Suez Canal being labeled
international property. The nations involved in the peacekeeping effort, much to the satisfaction of

July Crisis Dbq
The First World War began in Europe, but by the end of it, the United States had joined. Once
involved, President Woodrow Wilson had a huge effect on drawing new country lines. His
decision was influenced by how the war began, as a cry to have states independent from an
empire, based on ethnicities to avoid alliances similar to what started this war. This global and total
war was the first of its kind, which began in Europefrom the assassination of Austria Hungary s
heir to the throne, Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife by Gavrillo Princip in Sarajevo. This
local conflict quickly grew out of control due to alliances across European countries and
aggressive rulers and developed into what is now known as the July Crisis . In the four years
that this war was ongoing, the United States only participated in the last two and made a major
and lasting impact on Europe. The United States, led by President Woodrow Wilson, would be one
of the main four countries at the Paris Peace Conference after the war in order to decide on how to

All The Thoughts In A Football Game
This past month, our school, and specifically our English classes have been focusing on the art of
poetry. We have read and analyzed a lot of poetry, and I personally have grown in my understanding
of the meaning of many different poems. With this deeper understanding of poetry, I found your
poem All the Thoughts in a FootballGame very interesting and enlightening. The poem does not
really focus on any elements of football, but rather the different thoughts that go through ones mind
at a game. One can read this poem without having any knowledge of football, but still understand
the meaning of the poem. In the poem, you first talk about baby thoughts and compare them to
many things such as the shape of seaweed and pirate knives. I think

Median Housing Price Of The Great Lake Megaregion
Table 1 provides descriptive statistics of independent and dependent variables used in our analysis.
Median housing price of the Great Lake Megaregion is $164,447 and its monthly growth rate is
0.31% during 2013 June through 2016 May. The average value of planning time index is 3.01 and
its monthly growth rate is 1.34%. Interest rateand mortgage rate are 0.79% and 4.03%, respectively.
The averageconstruction price index obtained from Census is 112.46. The average unemployment
rate is 5.64. The number of household and the number of firm at the zip code level is 8,581 and
726, respectively. And their vacant rates are 3.32% and 9.58%. The average percentages of park
and lake are about 2%.
4.2. Estimation results of Housing Price Model
Table 2 presents estimation results of our empirical model represented by equation (5). The first
column shows estimation results only including housing prices and traffic congestion index without
other control variables. The result presents that traffic congestion growth is negatively associated
with growth in median housing prices. Such results are slightly changed when including control
variables or fixed effects terms, but almost consistent and robust as shown in the model (2) through
model (6). Since different locations and different time influence growth in housing prices (see
Figure 5, again), model (6) that include locational and time fixed effects is the best fit to explain the
relationship between congestion growth and housing price

Ram s Morality And Morality
Cullen Lemieux
Period 2
World literature
Mr. Neely
Ram s Morality Many people struggle or debate over the topic of morality, and many people are
mistaken as to who really judges what is moral or immoral. The only person who can decide
whether an act is morally right or wrong is God. Within Slumdog Millionaire, there are many
actions and ideas that can be considered morally good or morally bad according to the Christian
views of morality. Ram Muhammad Thomas is debated over when it comes to the topic of
Christian moral views. He shows aspects of both sides in the moral boundary. Within Slumdog
Millionaire Ram shows that he is an immoral person through his thoughts, actions, and motives.
Morality is often referred to as decision making and the difference between right and wrong.
There are many aspects to Christian morality such as the practice of freedom, the understanding
of moral acts, the formation of conscience, and above all realization of sin. Additionally, when
referring to the practice of freedom when it pertains to the topic of morality, it is usually talking
about the responsibility that is gained to be created in the image and likeness of God ( Morality
). In order to practice responsible freedom we must do things that would keep us in a more
intimate relationship with God, such as going to church and getting baptized ( Morality ). When
God created us he gave us the knowledge so we may choose to act good and ultimately share in his
plan ( Morality ). Freedom is

Hannibal Lecter Animal Roles
The distinction between human and animal has always been blurred in NBC s Hannibal. The TV
show, written and produced by Bryan Fuller, acts as a modern day prequel to the events that take
place in Thomas Harris s series about the fictional serial killer Hannibal Lecter. In this TV series,
Hannibal the cannibal Lecter has not been caught yet though Will Graham, an FBI consultant,
knows he is a dangerous man who must be stopped.
In episodes nine ( Shiizakana ) and ten ( Naka Choko ) from the second season, the story of Randall
Tier, a former patient of Doctor Lecter now turned serial killer, takes the main focus. His murders
are just as over the top and grotesque as the show has previously done; in past episodes, there have
been women impaled ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Randall Tier s vicious mauling of his victims almost seems tame in comparison except that in
order to kill, Tier must become an animal through the use of his exoskeleton suit. Tier s
character, whose last name already categorizes him as an animal in a playful yet blunt reference,
questions the very limitations of the categories human and animal. He asks, through the donning
of his animal suit, how exactly we perform our humanity and how we perceive the animals
around us. Like Franz Kafka s ape in the short story, Report to An Academy, Randall Tier is a
liminal figure, trapped inside his body and inside other s perceptions of what being an animal
means. Borrowing from old tropes in Thomas Harris s early work on the character Buffalo Bill,
Randall Tier also represents the stasis of the psychiatric discourse which seeks to pathologize his
need for transcendence by placing him on a spectrum of Sane/insane and quantifying his condition
in science, which eventually leads to his downfall and death. In the same way that Red Peter
addresses a fictitious academy in the Kafka story and

The Modern Prometheus Essays
The Modern Prometheus
Did Mary Shelley initially title her work about Victor Frankenstein and his creation The Modern
Prometheus solely because of the glaring similarities between their stories? That is a question that
is often discussed, but a conclusion rarely arrives. One of the possible reasons for this could be
because there are many different interpretations of the Promethean myth, which are mainly based
on the ambiguous nature of the story. The parallels between the Promethean myth and Frankenstein
are obvious, and that, in combination with her subtitle, The Modern Prometheus, indicates that
Mary Shelley did have the myth in mind as she wrote the story.
One perception of Prometheus actions views him as a hero: the creator ... Show more content on

The ambiguity of the myth of Prometheus lies in its interpretation. The Greek myth surrounds the
creation of man and the part Prometheus played in it. Prometheus (meaning forethought) and his
brother, Epimetheus (meaning afterthought), were given certain tasks by Zeus after they fought on
Zeus side in the war with the Titans. As a reward for their loyalty, Zeus gave Epimetheus the
responsibility of creating the animals and distributing their qualities, for example, strength, speed,
and stamina. Prometheus, on the other hand, was given the task of creating man. Prometheus
molded man out of clay, giving them the ability to walk upright so that they could be closer to the
heavens and the Gods. Since Epimetheus was extremely rash in his dispersion of the traits and
qualities to the animals, when it came time for Prometheus to give some to man, there were none
left. So, Prometheus gave man fire, and taught him how to grow food, and how to make objects,
such as tools. Zeus then asked Prometheus to give him the part of a sacrificial ox that he deemed
worthy for the Gods, which would leave the rest for man. Prometheus tricked Zeus into picking the
most undesirable part of the ox, and in anger, Zeus reclaimed the fire that man once possessed.
Prometheus then stole the fire back, by lighting a torch from the sun. As punishment,

How Did John D Rockefeller Impact On America
The New Tycoons All three of these successful entrepreneurs have had their own individual
impacts on America at their time and today. John D Rockefeller had an enormous impact on
America, as he provided the perfect image for the American dream. Since he came from a humble
beginning, he came from a small town in New York and his father practiced herbal medicine and
cured people in the area. He then was sent to a Clevelandbusiness school and started work as a
clerk in a shipping firm. He then saved enough money to start his own business, but quickly sold
that business and got into the oil industry. He then innovated the oil business by creating new
ways to produce products out of the waste product of making kerosene. He quickly made a huge
profit and then created horizontal integration by creating many trusts with other businesses in the
oil industry to create a monopoly. Rockefeller was the first to create a monopoly in American
business and revolutionized the way businesses interacted. Andrew Carnegie was like Rockefeller
in the way that he came from humble belongings by growing up in a small town in Pennsylvania.
He was talented in accounting and reading from an early aged and often went into the homes of
the wealthy to read their personal libraries. He started in a low end job,... Show more content on

I believe this because he was the original rags to riches story and represented the American
dream. He inspired many great businessmen like Carnegie, that it doesn t matter where you came
from. All that matters is what you do with what you re given. He also innovated the oil and gas
business which is still a huge industry in America today. Rockefeller was the first billionaire and
inspired others that if they worked hard enough, then they could have what it takes to be a
billionaire as well. Rockefeller also donated half of his fortune to medical foundations, universities,

Asbestos Research Paper
Asbestos
What is Asbestos?
Asbestos is a heat resistant silicate (rock forming) mineral. It is woven into fabrics which are used
in fire resistant and insulating other materials. Asbestos includes the mineral fibers chrysotile,
amosite, crocidolite, tremolite, anthophyllite, actinolite and any of these materials that have been
chemically treated or altered. These terms, do not refer to mineral description, but to a broad term
that refers to unique fibers. Asbestos has many versatile usage due to its capacity of withstanding
heat. Years ago while working for Consolidated Edison (power and electric plant) in New York,
where I learned about this substance. Power Plants such as Con Ed used the material largely in the
insulation of pipes. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Its fire retardant properties made it desirable for industries, as well as the military. It wasn t until the
late 1800s, at the start of the Industrial Revolution As the mining and manufacturing of asbestos
exploded. Its resistance to chemicals, water and electricity made it an excellent insulator for the
steam engines, turbines, boilers, ovens and electrical generators that powered the New Age. The
pliable properties of asbestos made it an important building, binding and strengthening goods.
Despite all those uses, asbestos remains a danger to human health. Breathing in these microscopic
fibers can cause a variety of respiratory illnesses like asbestosis, mesothelioma and lung cancer.
Asbestos fibers become easily airborne, especially during regular maintenance of machinery or
materials containing the mineral, construction and repair work or demolition.
The federal government established multiple organizations, including OSHA and the
Environmental Protection Agency, to protect workers from dangerous occupational conditions
such as asbestos exposure. An estimated five million workers in America are required to wear
respirators at work because of OSHA regulations. Frequently cited OSHA standard violation is
respiratory protection, which involves harmful dusts, gases and vapors, and more specifically,
microscopic asbestos

Inarritu Essay
Alejandro G. Inarritu utilises an extensive array of literary techniques to display the main themes of
greatness, power, and the struggle between reality and madness in his cinematic and literary
triumph Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance).
Inarritu explores the nature and pursuit of greatness through the character of Riggan using a
multitude of techniques. An intertextual allusion to the story of Icarus is a motif throughout the film,
appearing in the opening shot and subsequent times throughout. Icarus is a character in pursuit of
greatness. The myth eventually ends with his death, aiming ambitiously for the sky and falling
from eminence to the ocean below. Innumerable parallels between Icarus and Riggan foreshadow

Throughout the film the lines between diegetic and non diegetic are blurred, especially concerning
the use of music. Twice in the film Riggan walks past a drummer seemingly playing the non
diegetic score. This simple act hurls the audience into an anomalous abeyance. Correspondingly,
the scene in which Riggan takes flight and the music swells to its pinnacle disturbs this diegetic
/non diegetic Dichotomy. When Riggan says stop the music , this deliberate ambiguity is designed
to perplex the audience; is Riggan aware of the film being made around him? Or is the seemingly
non diegetic music actually a figment of Riggan s imagination? These are all questions that Inarritu
forces the audience to ponder upon. Inarritu also uses the score as an extension of Riggan s mental
state; in moments of madness or delusion of greatness the unconventional, vigorous drums fall
away, revealing a swelling, beautiful orchestral score. This clearly depicts the importance of these
moments to Riggan; he values the escapism of his perspective and often rejects harsh realities such
as his drug addicted daughter, instead immersing himself in his play, a fictional work. This is a
harsh juxtaposition to the characterisation of Mike Shiner. The two men form a dichotomy that
illustrates this theme; Mike s obsession with method acting, and naturalism is highlighted in the
first preview, where Mike publicly argues with Riggan yelling at the audience, have some self
respect... [and] have a real experience . This tension highlights the internal struggle in Riggan s
mind: constant conflict between reality and madness caused by the alter ego Birdman, and his
pursuit of greatness. Therefore, Inarritu uses the blurring of diegetic and non diegetic, the score,
and the dichotomy between Mike and Riggan to highlight the importance of both reality and

In Section 3 we discuss empirical implementation. We present the results of the decomposition for
the Indian income tax in Section 4. Section 5 concludes. 2. Decomposing Income Tax Revenue
Changes Before formally setting out the decomposition, we explain its logic. Comparisons of
revenue performance are made with a pre selected (here pre reform) base year. In order to examine
revenue loss, we define potential revenue at base year tax rates as the revenue that would obtain
in the absence of base erosion due to deductions and evasion, if the base year tax rate structure
was in operation. Conceptually, to arrive at potential revenue we tax potential DECOMPOSING
REVENUE EFFECTS 179 income, which we take as given.6 Deductions and exclusions (other
than for costs of earning income) cause taxable income to be narrower than potential income. Due
to tax evasion by, for example, failing to п¬Ѓle a return, understating receipts or overstating
expenses, potential income itself may not be fully revealed to tax authorities. What the
decomposition analysis does is to separate the difference between potential revenue and revenue
actually collected in any year into components reflecting losses due to tax schedule changes, base
erosion, and evasion. Potential revenues will, however, differ across years, even if the tax schedule
is unchanged, due to changes in aggregate income and its distribution. To account for this, we
normalize the difference

The Use of Symbolism in Rappaccini s Daughter
The use of Symbolism in Rappaccini s Daughter
Nathaniel Hawthorne s work is unique. His writings are full of subtle imagination, analysis, and
poetic wording. His short stories are known for their originality and for their ability to provoke
the reader s thoughts. Although a large portion of his stories are allegories, Hawthorne s
preference is to draw more heavily on symbolism (Pennell 13). His use of symbols adds depth to

Personal Leadership Philosophy Of A Healthcare Organization
PERSONAL LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY We live and operate in a reasonably diverse world,
and consequently our operations come with a variability of values and beliefs from multicultural
backgrounds. As a leader in a healthcare organization I must explore the organizational beliefs,
vision, team motivations in order to accomplish the perceived vision successfully and
professionally. It is my responsibility as a leader to effectively articulate the identified vision of the
organization and motivate the team associates toward the accomplishment of the goals and
objectives. It might require the confrontation of challenging and difficult choices and the leader s
deeply held philosophy. In this paper, I will create my personal leadership... Show more content on

The superior act of living an effective life lies in the pursuit of excellent vision, to move from
where we are to where we ought to be, either as a person or as an organization. A health care
leader must motivate the organizational team, find how to work with the associates to effectively
dedicate their time and energy to achieve the identified goals and objectives through the
established vision. The team members need to buy into the vision, where they are currently doing
what the leader envisions, the leader must encourage them, keep them on track and set standards
for the team by setting goals and objective, flowing from the vision. This will enable the leader to
move the health care organization to the expected performance level within the set time period.
The leader must ensure that individual responsibilities of the associates are identified, motivated
and resources provided to achieve the identified goals. To pursue the vision, I will lead the
development of the health care organization s strategic alignment of clear goals and objectives, to
preserve the core mission and encourage progress toward the envisioned future state. Also, I will
encourage and provide the direction for the organization without hindering the development of the
goals that we expect to accomplish. I believe that we can achieve what we have envisioned in our
lives as we consistently not only believe it but confidently work hard toward that belief. Such is my

The Pros And Cons Of H-1B Visas
H 1B Visas In recent years, much has changed in the science, technology, engineering, and
mathematics (STEM) fields. Three sources entitled, Rising above the Gathering Storm,
Innovative America, and Tapping America s Potential argue that if Americans do not improve in
the STEM field our economy will suffer, so will our exports, and will heavily impact America. If
we do not improve then the standard of living may fall and so will our economy. The three
reports talk about using more innovation and technology, if we do this then our economy will be
stable. The proponents argue that we need to close achievement gaps, improve the quality of
teachers, increase labor supply, improve our international ranking, and issue more H 1B visas.
Workers in the STEM field think that their employers are replacing them because the H 1B foreign
workersare cheaper. Although, critics argue that the STEM movement is sabotaging other
countries so, America can be ahead. But, for the US to be ahead in innovation and STEM
education, we need to issue more H 1B visas. The H 1b program is for guest workers from
different countries.
The critics argue that these H 1B visas are popular because companies want to obtain workers at a
lower cost than American workers.. Ron HIra, the writer of The H 1B and L 1 Visa Programs: Out
of Control, writes about how H 1B workers are supposed to be helping, but instead they are making
things worse for American workers. The goals of the H 1B and L1 visa programs

Technology And Its Impact On Technology Essay
In today s society, there have been many speculations on the impact of technology. The rise of
technology has unfolded into the betterment of many advances in the industry. However, it is no
surprise that these advances have also caused society into depending so much on technology.
Author Sherry Turkle, argued that we as a society have distanced ourselves from one another; she
discusses her observations drawn from humanbeings and their interaction with social machines. She
indicated that humansrely much more on technology which has negatively impacted the way we
communicate with one another. Every individual has their own flaws. In our imperfections, we
tend to discriminate among one another, we have preconceived notion based on what we have
seen or experienced. Perhaps, there is a say that goes a book should never be judged by its cover
. In addition to, various studies observed by between robots and children, Turkle implies that
robots are slowing replacing humans. As a result of our dependency on technology, humans are
failing each other and the constant rise of technology should not be blame for it, as we do have
control over some of these issues.
In the 1760 1800 s, the first machine age occurred during the industrial revolution. The industrial
revolution was transition from a hand labor to a machine labor. The new machines were powered
by water, steam and coal. The Industrial revolution marked a very profitable time for many factory

Diet Of A Man s Diet
When a couple is trying to conceive, there are obvious things that the woman can do to improve
their chances of conception and improve their chances of a healthy pregnancy. For example,
women often change their diets or begin taking folic acid. Yet most people do not think about
how important the potential dad s diet can be. A man s diet (the way that he eats and nutritional
intake) can have a huge influence on his sex drive (necessary for obvious reasons if you want to
make a baby together), sperm count, and sperm health. Although men do create sperm pretty
much constantly, I was shocked when I found out what a long process it is. It takes sperm
approximately twelve to fourteen weeks to mature! (1) That means that the health of a man is
important for months before conception. Diet plays an important role in creating adequate
numbers of healthy sperm. So what should dads to be be eating? The single most effective
dietary way for a man to improve their fertility would probably be to eat more zinc. Zinc plays a
crucial role in sperm production, and semen is extraordinarily high in zinc. (2) Sources of zinc
include seafood especially oysters, red meat, pumpkin seeds, dairy products, and brown rice. (3) In
order to improve your body s absorption of zinc, eat it in conjunction with Vitamins C and E. Most
women take folic acidbefore conception (in planned pregnancies at any rate) and during pregnancy
to reduce the risk of spinal bifida and other birth defects (4).

Though America received its independence in 1776, we still rely on not only other nations to keep

The Development of Many Colors Essay
As far back as the stone age men have looked for ways to share their lives and beliefs through art.
Primitive drawings have been found in caves in Europe, Asia and Africa. The only thing missing
was color to make the drawings more lifelike. By experimenting with plants, berries and
minerals, men have developed beautiful colors that have been improved until we have the
tempera, oils, acrylic and watercolor that artists use today. Tempera is the oldest paint medium
known to man. Powered minerals, plants or clay were used for pigment and egg yolks were used
as a binder. Sometimes, artists mixed the tempera with plaster to make frescoes on walls. Tempera
paint is long lasting and does not change color over time like oils. The colors are... Show more

Before the nineteenth century artist or their assistants were required to mix fresh batches of paint

Recognition And Tragedy In Oedipus Rex, By Sophocles
An ancient Greek Philosopher as well as a Scientist named Aristotle was the teacher of Alexander
the Great and a student of Plato. Aristotle defines tragedy as imitations of life consist of action with
a serious lesson to convey and purges emotions into the audience which leads to catharsis of these
emotions. OedipusRex written by Sophoclesis an Athenian tragedywhich practically fulfills the
Aristotelian theory of a tragedy. Oedipus, the King of Thebes is a noble man with great
personality whose life is controlled by the ill fate he is born along with the tragic flaw that is
excessive pride and confidence that he can make his life best, but cannot overcome the ill fate and

Firstly reversal is the situation in which the unexpected action occurs which is not following the
law of probability and possibility. Recognition and reversal occurs parallel to each other every
time that is when there is reversal in the ongoing plot, recognition is the realization of the Hero
which expound the previous events and is a resolution to the play. Reversal and recognition
evokes the emotion of fear and pity in the mind of the audience thus, leading to catharsis which
is releases the emotional tension cleansing one s mind. Thus in the Oedipus, the messenger
comes to cheer Oedipus and free him from his alarms about mother, but by revealing who he is,
he produces the opposite effect. The audiences develop the emotions of pity and fear towards
the tragic hero Oedipus as the suspicion of King Laius s murder fall on Oedipus which creates
terror to the time when it is confirmed that Oedipus had done the sin of ignorance/immorality by
murdering ones father and marrying ones mother. Therefore, this reversal of fate in the hero s life
fills the mind of the audience with sympathy and fears that at last during the catastrophe Oedipus
pokes out his eyes which leads to the liberation of emotional tension giving pleasure to the
audience. Deus ex Machina is a literary technique which means god out of a machine. This
technique is not used in between the play, but can be used at the beginning as a report or at the

Mob Mentality In The Crucible By Arthur Miller
The word Mob (in terms of sociology) is defined as a group of persons stimulating one another to
excitement and losing ordinary rational control over their activity ( Mob ). This definition
simply describes a group of people who were either directly or indirectly influenced by each
other to do something. Similarly, Mob Mentality can be defined as the mentality of people,
when they are indirectly motivated by another individual to do something. This slightly chaotic
type of mentality, can be both good and bad in different circumstances. Mob Mentality can be a
positive occurrence if used in an uplifting sense such as giving a standing applause to someone,
but also hindering and distracting if the action occuring is negative like a group of people lying
in order to get someone in trouble. In the drama, The Crucible, by Arthur Miller, a group of
bewitched girls clearly demonstrate negative mob mentality throughout the play. Towards the end
of the play, one of the girls, Abigail, and the other girls are in the courtroom with the characters
Mary Warren, John Proctor, Judge Danforth, and a couple of others. While trying to get Judge

head. As I looked up, I noticed a metal trim that ran along the wall where Cody was leaning. I
don t know why I did it maybe I was still feeling great from finally putting Jack in his place,
maybe I was showing off for Taylor. But, most likely, it was a culmination of too many years of
being bullied. Whatever the reason, I was done with playing the victim. I slowly reached back and
touched the trim behind me and pulsed. Cody let out

Summary Of Ballad Of Birmingham By Dudley Randall
The folk classic Ballad of Birmingham by Dudley Randall is a poem that speaks up about a
tragedy using simple rhymes and lyrics. It s clear that the ballad uses the Civil Rights Movement
and the 16th Street Baptist Church Bombing as its historical context. The Civil Rights Movement
was a mass movement aimed to secure equal rights for African Americans. In the poem, the
daughter asked her mother if she could march the streets of Birmingham / To make our country
free, which references The Birmingham Campaign, also known as the Civil Rights Movement s
Project C, that included Freedom Marches (*). The mother refuses her daughter s request, saying
that the dogs are fierce and wild, / And clubs and hoses, guns and jails, as Project C was in

Analysis Of Le Cafe De Nuit
Le CafГ© de Nuit by Vincent van Gogh is possibly one of Van Gogh s most famous paintings,
located at the Yale Art Gallery in New Haven, CT. It stands at 28 1/2 inches tall and has a width
of 36 1/4 inches, and for being nearly 130 years old this piece is extremely well preserved. This
is an oil painting done on canvas circa 1888, that depicts the CafГ© de l Alcazar, a place where
van Gogh often ate his meals, and watched as the walls of this building slowly filled with
prostitutes and vagrants each night. In a letter to his brother, the night cafГ© was vibrantly
explained for exactly what is seen now on the canvas. The strong linear pattern in this painting is
directly related to the one point perspective used in crafting the room and the furniture in it. The
floor boards are the strongest representation of the linear pattern, pushing the viewers eye
diagonally back from the negative space in the bottom left corner, to lively back wall of the
room that is cluttered with a bar, an open door, and fellow civilians sitting at a table. Other
objects like the pool table in the middle of the room, assorted side tables and the paneling on the
walls also helps to guide the eye in the same way. The inherent nature of this line pattern is to
create a sense of depth in the room and a sense of space across the entirety of the picture plane. The
rhythm of the objects in the room follow a mostly mellow, legato pattern with some staccato
characteristics. A legato rhythm is found in the

More often dataset refer to the corresponding to single table of database in which every row represents a given member of dataset and every column corresponds to a specific variable. List values of the datasets for each variable is a member of data present in the datasets and each of its value is called as datum. Datasets may contain data for one or more than one members that is interrelated to the number of rows in the table. Datasets can contain more than one table that is related to one database in the database system. In my evaluation I found it hard to find the logical large size dataset that should be in CSV format since most of the time database system does not support any other format extensions except CSV format but I managed to find it from the web and I used it in my performance evaluation. I have used four different datasets. I have partitioned by datasets as small dataset and large dataset. One of my dataset is further divided into three datasets that I downloaded from the web sources and other dataset I used is extracted from a rotten tomatoes website. Dataset downloaded from the web is related to the property tax report of different years. And the dataset which I extracted through data scrapping from rotten tomatoes site is ... • 3. Theme Of Death In Chronicle Of A Death Foretold In Gabriel GarcГa MГЎrquez s novella Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Santiago Nasar is ruthlessly murdered by the Vicario brothers Pedro and Pablo Vicario in a remote Colombian town. Although the Vicario brothers are responsible for the murder, i.e. the actual killing of Santiago, the behind the scene culture, in particular the town s beliefs, ideals and expectations, should be blamed for Santiago s death. Aspects of the town s culture, including the sanctity of pre marital virginity and honor, drive the characters to perform the murderof Santiago. The town s cultural highlight on pre marital virginity is one major factor accountable for Santiago s death. Angela Vicario s decision to put on the veil and the orange blossoms without being a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Since the brothers were brought up to be men, they needed to take action in order to regain their sister and family s honor (30). Honor was idolized in the town to the point that the act of killing Santiago can be forgiven, or even rewarded. The town s ideal of honor closely relates to heroic, masculine theme like going on an epic quest. For instance, Pablo Vicario s wife Prudencia Cotes never would have married [Pablo] if he hadn t done what a man should do (63). In other words, Pablo is the hero who goes on a grand journey to slay the monster Santiago. After slaying Santiago, he proves himself as a man, gains his honor, and is rewarded with a bride, who would not have married him otherwise. Prudencia s decision to marry Pablo amplify the hidden cultural expectation for a man to uphold the honor of the family, even if upholding the honor means sacrificing someone else s life. Throughout the novella, the Vicario brothers actions suggest that their decision of killing Santiago is against their will. They made their plan rather obvious for the townspeople to find out. As a matter of fact, they advertised their plan to the entire town because that the only reason they had said it was for someone to hear them (51). This act of disseminating their plot hints to their hesitation and doubtfulness of committing the actual ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Asymmetric Warfare Is An Inherently Relational Concept The asymmetry in asymmetric warfare is an inherently relational concept. It refers to a relative dissimilarity between opponents in battle, derived from a difference in relational strength amid warring sides. This asymmetry has tended to be in terms of status and organization; means and resources, goals and objectives; and strategies and tactics. The relationship between the belligerents in today s conflicts varies in many tactical, strategic and operational levels, which has come to be perceived as changing warfare. This popular perception is that with the rise of asymmetric warfare, conventional warfare had transformed from a customary and symmetric exercise into an irregular, avant garde, asymmetric experience. In contrast to this perspective, the main argument here is that asymmetric warfare is not a new genus of warthat has risen in the twentieth century as a distinct revolution in military affairs, but rather, asymmetric warfare is a perennial characteristic of warfare, or set of distinct conflict dynamics in warfare that occasionally surface out of asymmetric strength between opponents in war. At the foundation of this essay is a question calling for the analysis of the rise of asymmetric warfare . However, after analyzing the history of asymmetric warfare and the changes and behaviors that have taken place through this time as this essay will do my perspective is critical of the assumption in the question that asymmetric warfare has risen . Warfare, in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Women Involved In Love Triangles As I was watching a few television series on Netflix, I have concluded that most of these productions demonstrate young women being involved in love triangles. Some television series that stood out to me were the Vampire Diaries and One Tree Hill. Both of these television series are filmed in a high school and college setting. Young women are illustrated as being involved in love triangles where they have to choose between a guy that either has a great or horrible reputation when it comes to their past in general or their past relationships. The 28,000 hectares of original farmland that made up the retreat and backed onto the South Island s Mount Cook National Park were converted into a big game reserve. All merino sheep on the land were sold, and deer, elk, chamois, and wapiti were brought in and released. This was a carefully considered plan. Olde Olthof, the former conservationist, believed that financially and environmentally this was the correct decision. Not only do tourists, each staying for one week and taking part in safari shooting, inject as much cash into the business as the station s annual wool clip used to fetch, but the game does less harm to the environment than sheep. Cattle, however, once part of the original station, were left to graze on lower reverflat areas. For those high flying customers seeking less bloodthirsty leisure activities, Lilybank developed other product line extensions. Horse trekking, golfing on a nearby rural course (with no need for hordes of security forces), world class photographic opportunities, helicopter trips around nearby Lake Tekapo, nature walks, and other such activities formed part of the exclusive package. The Modern Prometheus Essays The Modern Prometheus Did Mary Shelley initially title her work about Victor Frankenstein and his creation The Modern Prometheus solely because of the glaring similarities between their stories? That is a question that is often discussed, but a conclusion rarely arrives. One of the possible reasons for this could be because there are many different interpretations of the Promethean myth, which are mainly based on the ambiguous nature of the story. The parallels between the Promethean myth and Frankenstein are obvious, and that, in combination with her subtitle, The Modern Prometheus, indicates that Mary Shelley did have the myth in mind as she wrote the story. The Greek myth surrounds the creation of man and the part Prometheus played in it. Prometheus (meaning forethought) and his brother, Epimetheus (meaning afterthought), were given certain tasks by Zeus after they fought on Zeus side in the war with the Titans. As a reward for their loyalty, Zeus gave Epimetheus the responsibility of creating the animals and distributing their qualities, for example, strength, speed, and stamina. Prometheus, on the other hand, was given the task of creating man. Prometheus molded man out of clay, giving them the ability to walk upright so that they could be closer to the heavens and the Gods. Since Epimetheus was extremely rash in his dispersion of the traits and qualities to the animals, when it came time for Prometheus to give some to man, there were none left. So, Prometheus gave man fire, and taught him how to grow food, and how to make objects, such as tools. Zeus then asked Prometheus to give him the part of a sacrificial ox that he deemed worthy for the Gods, which would leave the rest for man. Prometheus tricked Zeus into picking the most undesirable part of the ox, and in anger, Zeus reclaimed the fire that man once possessed. An intertextual allusion to the story of Icarus is a motif throughout the film, appearing in the opening shot and subsequent times throughout. Icarus is a character in pursuit of greatness. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Throughout the film the lines between diegetic and non diegetic are blurred, especially concerning the use of music. Twice in the film Riggan walks past a drummer seemingly playing the non diegetic score. This simple act hurls the audience into an anomalous abeyance. Correspondingly, the scene in which Riggan takes flight and the music swells to its pinnacle disturbs this diegetic /non diegetic Dichotomy. When Riggan says stop the music , this deliberate ambiguity is designed to perplex the audience; is Riggan aware of the film being made around him? Or is the seemingly non diegetic music actually a figment of Riggan s imagination? These are all questions that Inarritu forces the audience to ponder upon. Inarritu also uses the score as an extension of Riggan s mental state; in moments of madness or delusion of greatness the unconventional, vigorous drums fall away, revealing a swelling, beautiful orchestral score. This clearly depicts the importance of these moments to Riggan; he values the escapism of his perspective and often rejects harsh realities such as his drug addicted daughter, instead immersing himself in his play, a fictional work. This is a harsh juxtaposition to the characterisation of Mike Shiner. The two men form a dichotomy that illustrates this theme; Mike s obsession with method acting, and naturalism is highlighted in the first preview, where Mike publicly argues with Riggan yelling at the audience, have some self respect... This tension highlights the internal struggle in Riggan s mind: constant conflict between reality and madness caused by the alter ego Birdman, and his pursuit of greatness. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Section 3 we discuss empirical implementation. We present the results of the decomposition for the Indian income tax in Section 4. Section 5 concludes. 2. Decomposing Income Tax Revenue Changes Before formally setting out the decomposition, we explain its logic. Comparisons of revenue performance are made with a pre selected (here pre reform) base year. In order to examine revenue loss, we deп¬Ѓne potential revenue at base year tax rates as the revenue that would obtain in the absence of base erosion due to deductions and evasion, if the base year tax rate structure was in operation. Conceptually, to arrive at potential revenue we tax potential DECOMPOSING REVENUE EFFECTS 179 income, which we take as given.6 Deductions and exclusions (other than for costs of earning income) cause taxable income to be narrower than potential income. Due to tax evasion by, for example, failing to п¬Ѓle a return, understating receipts or overstating expenses, potential income itself may not be fully revealed to tax authorities. What the decomposition analysis does is to separate the difference between potential revenue and revenue actually collected in any year into components reflecting losses due to tax schedule changes, base erosion, and evasion. Potential revenues will, however, differ across years, even if the tax schedule is unchanged, due to changes in aggregate income and its distribution. • 27. Technology And Its Impact On Technology Essay In today s society, there have been many speculations on the impact of technology. The rise of technology has unfolded into the betterment of many advances in the industry. However, it is no surprise that these advances have also caused society into depending so much on technology. Author Sherry Turkle, argued that we as a society have distanced ourselves from one another; she discusses her observations drawn from humanbeings and their interaction with social machines. She indicated that humansrely much more on technology which has negatively impacted the way we communicate with one another. Every individual has their own flaws. Diet Of A Man s Diet When a couple is trying to conceive, there are obvious things that the woman can do to improve their chances of conception and improve their chances of a healthy pregnancy. For example, women often change their diets or begin taking folic acid. Yet most people do not think about how important the potential dad s diet can be. A man s diet (the way that he eats and nutritional intake) can have a huge influence on his sex drive (necessary for obvious reasons if you want to make a baby together), sperm count, and sperm health. Although men do create sperm pretty much constantly, I was shocked when I found out what a long process it is. It takes sperm approximately twelve to fourteen weeks to mature! (1) That means that the health of a man is important for months before conception. Diet plays an important role in creating adequate numbers of healthy sperm. So what should dads to be be eating? The single most effective dietary way for a man to improve their fertility would probably be to eat more zinc. Zinc plays a crucial role in sperm production, and semen is extraordinarily high in zinc. (2) Sources of zinc include seafood especially oysters, red meat, pumpkin seeds, dairy products, and brown rice. (3) In order to improve your body s absorption of zinc, eat it in conjunction with Vitamins C and E. Most women take folic acidbefore conception (in planned pregnancies at any rate) and during pregnancy to reduce the risk of spinal bifida and other birth defects (4). ... Primitive drawings have been found in caves in Europe, Asia and Africa. The only thing missing was color to make the drawings more lifelike. • 38. Mob Mentality In The Crucible By Arthur Miller The word Mob (in terms of sociology) is defined as a group of persons stimulating one another to excitement and losing ordinary rational control over their activity ( Mob ). This definition simply describes a group of people who were either directly or indirectly influenced by each other to do something. Similarly, Mob Mentality can be defined as the mentality of people, when they are indirectly motivated by another individual to do something. This slightly chaotic type of mentality, can be both good and bad in different circumstances. Mob Mentality can be a positive occurrence if used in an uplifting sense such as giving a standing applause to someone, but also hindering and distracting if the action occuring is negative like a group of people lying in order to get someone in trouble. In the drama, The Crucible, by Arthur Miller, a group of bewitched girls clearly demonstrate negative mob mentality throughout the play. Towards the end of the play, one of the girls, Abigail, and the other girls are in the courtroom with the characters Mary Warren, John Proctor, Judge Danforth, and a couple of others. • 41. Analysis Of Le Cafe De Nuit Le CafГ© de Nuit by Vincent van Gogh is possibly one of Van Gogh s most famous paintings, located at the Yale Art Gallery in New Haven, CT. It stands at 28 1/2 inches tall and has a width of 36 1/4 inches, and for being nearly 130 years old this piece is extremely well preserved. This is an oil painting done on canvas circa 1888, that depicts the CafГ© de l Alcazar, a place where van Gogh often ate his meals, and watched as the walls of this building slowly filled with prostitutes and vagrants each night. In a letter to his brother, the night cafГ© was vibrantly explained for exactly what is seen now on the canvas. The strong linear pattern in this painting is directly related to the one point perspective used in crafting the room and the furniture in it. The floor boards are the strongest representation of the linear pattern, pushing the viewers eye diagonally back from the negative space in the bottom left corner, to lively back wall of the room that is cluttered with a bar, an open door, and fellow civilians sitting at a table. Other objects like the pool table in the middle of the room, assorted side tables and the paneling on the walls also helps to guide the eye in the same way. The inherent nature of this line pattern is to create a sense of depth in the room and a sense of space across the entirety of the picture plane.
