The stimulus was introduced to Yoamy and Jasmine by asking them to share what trips they went on
this summer and which were their favorites. They were ecstatic and they immediately began to share
their summer adventures. This 5th grade classroom has flexible seating, one of the sections in the
classroom is by the library which has a couch, rug and table. I noticed that Yoamy and Jasmine
usually choose to sit there during independent or group work. I wanted the students to feel
comfortable enough to take risks with their language during this activity. Thus, I chose to conduct

Confidence is key in any culture or lifestyle. If your confidence is able to influence others and your
enthusiasm supports you, then that is a great work environment to be around that can lead to
success. Being a leader or in charge of a company supporting the workers is a huge roll to success. If
you are a coach or a manger, just being positive to your players or workers can influence them to
work harder or to try to make the best things happen. This belief in having confidence, pride, and
enthusiasm can not only impact yourself, but also the people around you to always give their best

Christianity and Buddhism: Are they Synonyms?
Every coin has two sides. Similarly, every issue consists of two different aspects– be it political,
social, or religious. One of the biggest controversial topics encountered by most would be that of
religion. Some people believe that their religion is the only true religion. Although, there are some
people who understand that a religion is true to the person that believes in it. These are the people
that are able to find similarities between religions. In the movie, Little Buddha, Christianity and
Buddhism are found to be very similar in their preaching regarding life after death, their way of

Buddhism was started by a Hindu prince Siddhartha Guatama, who led a very happy and content life
without any worries until he witnessed sufferings in his kingdom and decided to find a cure. In the
movie, Little Buddha, he is shown to be meditating to attain enlightenment. While meditating, he
had to fight the evil god, Mara. After reaching nirvana he started spreading peace by teaching good
morals and the right way of living life. Similarly, Jesus also spread peace in the world by preaching
the right way of living life and good ethics. While spreading his wisdom, he had to face many
difficulties and opposition from other people. In the end, he willingly crucified in order spread the
