WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM
YOUR AUDIENCE FEEDBACK?
2. VIMEO
• To kick-start our
audience feedback,
we posted the first draft
of our trailer on Vimeo,
a video sharing site, for
the general public to
watch.
3. VIMEO
• To kick-start our

we posted the first draft

As you can see, the
audience has the
option to like the video.

The audience can also
download the video.
5. VIMEO
• To kick-start our
audience feedback,
we posted the first draft
of our trailer on Vimeo,
a video sharing site, for
the general public to
watch.
These buttons helped us
gather a vague idea if
the audience liked the
trailer and if they would
watch it again.
6. SURVEY MONKEY URL
Since Vimeo only gave us vague feedback, we decided to create a
survey using SurveyMonkey.com, to gather the information we really
wanted, giving questions that were specifically tailored to our aims and
requirements. The results were as follows.
8. SURVEY MONKEY
We used multiple choice
questions as they were
easy for our audience to
answer.
9. SURVEY MONKEY
We also gave ‘other’
boxes for our audience
members to fill in, this
improved the detail and
accuracy of the
feedback.
10. SURVEY MONKEY
We also used dropdown
menus to help give a
spectrum of answers to our
audience, allowing them
to choose from a vast
range of answers.

18. WHAT WE LEARNED
As you can see from the answers, one of the main
recurring faults with our first draft is that the
characters and narratives weren’t well established.
We didn’t explain who our characters were clearly
enough and didn’t display the idea of conflict
between these two communities well enough.
We needed to address these problems as they very
significant and heavily affected the way that our
soap was presented.
19. WHAT WE CHANGED
In order to address these problems, we decided to
go out and re-film the entire second part of our soap,
we took inspiration from a trailer for EastEnders. We
used the idea of the faced paced, short cut close-
ups from the trailer and used that in the second half
of our trailer.
This helped us to completely recreate the second
half of our film and also helped create a sense of
narrative and conflict between these two
communities.
