• When considering that our audience was mainly young people between

capturing and showing our audience that our film is a horror.
• We did this by giving our audience two examples of classic horror
stereotypes, such as when you see the little girl appear from nowhere
watching what Emily is doing, and then to show that to the audience we
put in stings.

• This then builds up tension shows that audience right from the start
that this is a horror film and is also introducing the audience to the
main characters.
5. HOW DID WE USE NARRATIVE TO ATTRACT OUR
AUDIENCE
• In the two minute opening of our film we tried to use as much narrative
to show the audience that this is a horror film. First of all our narrative
consisted of a young married couple moving into there new house. We
put this into our film so that we could make our audience feel warm
hearted towards them two characters so that when bad things start to
happen to them they then feel more sympathy.

through the camera that Emily is using when they are moving in.

and tell us what they think, they came back and told us that they thought
that this way of telling the audience what is happening and that they
liked seeing it from there Emily and Josh’s view.

9. WAYS WE GAINED FEEDBACK
Social Networking
• A way in which we got feedback was through social networking websites such
as Facebook and Twitter.
• Also though Facebook and Twitter we were able to gain a lot of feedback
from our actual audience and from people who know a lot about films and
horror films.
10. WAYS WE GAINED FEEDBACK
College
• the other way in which we gained feedback on our film was through our
media class so that we got back opinions from people who are studying
media just like we are.
• But as most of the people in our class we are friends with, so we decided that
we would get people who we do not really know because then it would not be
biased and we would actually get the truth about what they think of our film.
