Film Title ‘Admittance’ Why did we choose this title? We chose the name ‘Admittance’ for our psychological thriller because it has several meanings, which is representative of our plot. Firstly, ‘admittance’ relates to being admitted into psychiatric care and secondly, it can mean admitting to having a problem.
Synopsis A teenage girl from a privileged background shows all the signs of having a mental problem, but when she is admitted to psychiatric care she discovers that the problem lies deeper than she thought. A well-respected psychiatrist, finally finds the perfect subject to test her dangerous new theories.
Main Characters Carrie- A young, well educated girl who is admitted to psychiatric care after reporting hearing voices. Dr. Roberts- A psychiatrist well known for her ground breaking new theories. However, nobody knows how she gets her results.
Influences Inception had been the main influence for the creation of our feature because it is a psychological thriller. We hope to achieve an original and engaging storyline designed to keep our target audience captivated.
Campaign Marketing and promotional strategies  Poster- Put in public places such as bus stops where people are able to see details, such as actors and release date. Trailer-Meant to be eye catching to draw attention of the target audience. Some of the story line should be shown but not entirely. Website- Will keep people interested updated with information. Interviews with stars and behind the scenes etc. Social Networking sites- Fan groups and ‘likes’ made, word of mouth, talk about the film. Again updates  Magazine- Reviews and interviews.  You tube- Advertising. Another opportunity to see the trailer.
Target audience Teens and adults between 15 to 24. This is our target audience as these are the type of people that are most likely to see our film. We know this as looking at other films from the same genre they are most popular with this age group.
Methods of Research We looked at the Pearl & Dean website, to find out what the target audience of other films of the same genre were, this helped as it meant we knew who to aim our poster and magazine cover at and also film trailers.
